Was visiting the Duluth area on a Sunday and wanted to get my nails done. I called about walk-ins and they said yes they do them, but to make an appointment to be sure. I made one for about ~2 hours later. There was a 15 min wait for a tech to open up, but after that it took about an hour for gel x nails with a design ($75). Really happy with the result and will be back.
Soo I reallllllllyyyy want to like this place. Aesthetically, it's lovely. Snacks and drinks are always a plus. The pedicure area is a bit cramped. On this second visit, I wasn't exactly sure what i wanted but i knew i wanted a coffin shape and chrome. We had to add tips to my nails and we cut them a bit too short so had to apply new tips. The nail tech's attitude changed after that ( at one point claiming he "didn't have time for this") and he tried to tell me my nails need to be long for coffin to work and also my natural nail base was too wide for it. I've done medium length coffins plenty of times at other salons. At the end of the day, I don't think he felt like filing the sides. So here I am with more square nails. I might have to make the drive to Buckhead to get the shape I ask for.
I will say... the quality of the nails is okay, at best. However. I came in after having been growing out my natural nails underneath acrylics to just get a replacement set. I called ahead and asked for someone who will be gentle with my nails. I then was handed anyone who was free and said repeatedly please do not try to scrape my acrylic off I want a soak off as I'm trying to keep my nails healthy underneath. He ended up saving it somewhat but had to cut off half of my growth because of the pictures below. I repeatedly said no please do not cut or try to be lazy and scrape the acrylic off. And he did anyway. So. Won't be going back he absolutely destroyed my nails!!
Needed to get my nails done for an out of town weekend and it was my first time there. I made a reservation for 6:30...however, I didn't get seated with my nail tech until 7. I knew they were busy since it was Fourth of July weekend but it defeats the whole purpose of making an appointment for me. My nail tech was named Crystal and wow she did an amazing job on my nails. It was exactly what I asked for. I definitely would come back since they do a really good job and I would also ask for Crystal again. I also noticed customer got free sodas/drinks, which was a really nice touch. Overall, great experience!!
My nails are mediocre at best. The nail artist started doing her own thing without consulting me. There was only supposed to be BLACK glitter on ONE of the nails. The rest were supposed to stay black french. Before I knew it my nails had this ugly holographic glitter to it. I don't ever mind nail artists adding their own touch to my nails, but I like it when they consult me first and when they actually choose something good! She could've AT LEAST chosen a black glitter to put on all of them or a regular sparkly glitter, not holographic. This for some reason always happens at this nail salon. Will definitely not be returning. They are also VERY expensive. This is why they add unwanted things, to get your tab up.
Dropped in yesterday to see if they could squeeze in a drop-in, as I wanted to check this salon out. They took me right in. I had SNS with extensions on my hands, and a deluxe pedicure! Both technicians were fantastic and did a great job. The salon is sleek and modern looking with black and white decor. I'll definitely be coming back!!

The only reason this place is getting even one stars is because the place is aesthetically appealing. Other than that. It was a no for me. The lady who did my nails barely spoke to me and looked aggravated to be doing my nails. It felt rushed and like she had an attitude. My nail was broken and SHE asked ME what I wanted to do about it. Other places I've gone to will try to salvage it a little or the best they can. So now I have one nail shorter than all of the other ones. They already had someone sit in my seat before I was done washing my hands with my purse and phone still there. There was a little girl beside me and she just wanted a smiley face on two nails. It took about 4 people to do one smiley face on this poor girls nail and it was still wrong. Will not be coming back to this place. Terrible experience. I felt like I was being judged from the moment I walked in. I guess they thought I wouldn't tip much...and after my experience that assumption was correct. Went in there today with a coworker of mine and (after being rudely greeted with "what do you want") I requested a basic French manicure with a slight design. The guy who did my nails was making faces and giggling with the woman next to him who was doing my friend's nails. It felt very odd but we brushed it off. He began doing my nails and I noticed rather quickly that he didn't really know what he was doing. He put one of my nails on slanted and his filing was off. None of my nails were matching in length and it was so bad I just told him not to do the design. I of course made up an excuse to be kind about the situation because after asking about the crooked nail he was rather rude...however after telling him I didn't want the design he simply applied a clear coat and got up and left. I received no moisturizing treatment that I saw other customers getting and not even a "thank you". I asked aloud to another woman standing by (because he was no where to be seen after 10 minutes) "do I not get the same treatment as everyone else"? And she sent the manager over to give me one. I am not a difficult customer and after working in the service industry and customer service for years I know how to treat people...and tip people. This was just an all around horrible experience and terrible work. I've attached photos. There is glue around my cuticles and spacing in my nails from ill-fitting and straight up not caring. Not to mention they failed to clip the excess skin. I could have done this at home...and saved $45. Beware. read more

I probably won't return. I took my daughter there for her 5th birthday and the took her away from me to "pick her nail color" while I was finishing my set. I had 10 mins left and while I thought they took her to the chair to let her feet soak for her spa pedicure, they were finished painting her nails and toes. I fully expected to enjoy this day with her and get our feet done together but they did her entire hand and feet spa pedicure in 10 mins without her mom next to her. She is 5. Anyways, after I was crying and told them I wasn't gonna make her wait for me to do my pedicure on her bday, they said they would redo her pedicure. Hence the additional star. Plus I was shocked that my 40 SNS manicure didn't come with cleaning underneath my nails, cuticle cut and lotion. My hands were so dry and I had dry sns on my fingertips. Just okay. I didn't see all of what they talk about on their website. Since I was not getting acrylic maybe that's why. My pedicure was okay. Nice lady. The manicure was average at best. Not sure if I will return. The best thing is that it's right next door to Rita's! read more

I've been to this nail salon multiple times before in the past and its always been a decent experience. Today was the worst and honestly after this visit I will not be going back to this place ever again....keep reading the specifics are important. Walked in with my friend at 12pm (they were busy) said that we wanted 2 pedicures and 2 SNS. The attendent was a younger gentleman and he was lovely. He said that it wouldn't be a problem. I told them they looked busy so if he needed us to come back that was fine we would go grab something to eat and then return. He said there was no need for that. Sat us down for pedicures, my water was cold, my friend's was super hot. Asked the lady to fix it she graciously did. Next the liner in the pedicure tub kept floating up so she had to dump the water and then refill it (not a problem she was nice enough to fix it). Fast forward, my friend has now had her toes done and her SNS is halfway done. Noone even acknowledged I still needed to get my hands done still. A lady walks up to me, talks to my attendant and then stares at my nails, makes a surprised face and rushes off. THEY FORGOT I WANTED MY NAILS DONE? Other people have been seated and attended too while I'm just sitting here doing nothing. The nail paint job on my toes ends up being garbage. Half complete half incomplete. 1 random lady walked up to me while I was moved to get started on my hands. She poured acetone into a ziplock bag and told me to put my hands into the bags. About 5 mins go by and my hands start burning. I took the bags off and my hands are white and pasty (note I'm of Indian decent-- brown to white hands). The lady walks up and said oh is it burning your hands. I tell her I have SNS on my hands now, I need you to do it properly with the foil. (RIDICULOUS) A new girl shows up to do my hands and was all over the place. I got a light blue color on my hands and feet. On my hands she put a top coat on that had red residuals from another job and she said it would go away after filing. I believed her because shes the expert here. It doesnt come off and she had to redip my entire hand. (Although I do appreciate she actually took it upon herself to fix it) even though I'm pretty sure it was because I kept pointing out problems and she realized that I wasnt going to let it go. We FINALLY got to leave at 3pm. 3 HOURS. 3 HOURS OF MY LIFE l watched people get taken care of while I just sat and asked questions. We had a whole girls day planned and it was completely trashed by this place. Never again. read more

I came here yesterday for the first time and overall my experience was good. I was excited to leave and write a 5 star review, but that quickly changed as time went on. First let me start off by saying that I liked the interior decorating, the pedicure massage chairs were by far my favorite I've ever experienced in a nail salon, and I loved that they were taking necessary precautions to keep everyone safe!! HOWEVER, I went with 3 family members and we all had a 2pm appt., yet weren't taken until after 2:30pm. I let that slide bc I had my family to talk to while waiting AND it was their 3 yr anniversary & they had little treats and wine to enjoy while we waited. But the whole point of making an appt beforehand is to avoid having to wait !!! THEN as we were leaving, I was the last to pay so everyone else went outside. Well as the lady handed me my receipt to sign, the paper slipped out of my hands, and she made a slick comment saying, "Must've been the 3 glasses of wine you had!" And I replied and said, "you mean two?!" Then the young man at the front said "well your 2 glasses were like half the bottle!!" I didn't want to make a scene so I didn't say a word, kindly left my tip, and just walked out. Well, my sister poured my first glass, and I attached a pic of when she was bringing it to me to show y'all how much she poured, and Milo poured my 2nd and FINAL cup, which was a splash. Hmm, not quite half a bottle! Now while I understand the safety behind not allowing guests to have too much to drink, there was absolutely NO need to make a rude and sarcastic comment like that to a customer. And let me be CLEAR in stating that I was not the least bit tipsy walking out considering I was there for over TWO AND A HALF hours and had the wine when I first got there. Not to mention, I spent $80 on services (not including tip) so I think the least I deserve is a few glasses of wine without snarky comments from the employees !!! When I asked my sister if they said anything to her, she said no.. so not sure why I was pointed out. I was excited to return and try my sisters tech, Sandy, but I rather save myself a 30 minute drive and find someone closer to me in Alpharetta. First time at Pulse and I couldn't be happier with our experience! Upon entry they check your temp and ask you to wash you hands, better safe than sorry these days! All clients and staff are wearing masks and there is plexiglass windows at every station for added protection. Both myself and my mom got a pedicure and SNS, they had a great color selection and was able to offer match colors for both services. Mymy was my technician, she was so thorough and attentive! I requested almond shape for my nails, in my past experiences at other salons I was usually unimpressed and would find inconsistencies with the shaping. Let me just say, my experiences Pulse with Mymy was the complete opposite! My nails are PERFECT! Length, size and shape are spot on! read more

The place looked professional and clean and the receptionist was sweet and friendly. My nail tech is Vicky and she is incredibly talented with nail art designs. The nails I wanted is inspired from Blackpink Rose's nails and Vicky did so well with nail art. The details on my nails were amazing and precise. The gel manicure with designs were $70 and it is worth it. I'm very satisfied with the outcome and will definitely come back for more! read more

I asked for white French tips, It came out light like an American manicure, not French. I didn't notice until I got home they were too light. I contacted them again and the lady on phone said that they have to charge for $15 to do it all over again? I told them just use whiter gel to go over the white part. I went back to get whiter tips, the the girl redid my tips too wide and thick, so two nails in I told her wait this is too thick and she told me it was already dry. And I asked her if she could make it thinner she dramatically walks away huffing and puffing and refuses to do my nails!?Lol I was so confused, honestly have never received service like this, It was so dramatic, and then the girl at the front came up to me told me it was my fault? Sends someone else to do the white tips. I didn't even argue with them, because A) the girl with glasses at front is really rude and her vibe is very impertinent towards clients B) I don't have the energy lol. I literally came in for a quick fix, whiter tips and there was SO much drama for something so small. I didn't even argue with them, also they cut me and it's very painful and red, didn't argue that either. I paid $68 initially + $15 for "fixing" w drama included. Never again. read more

I visited Pulse for S&S nails and a pedicure. I forgot about the "new normal" and didn't think to make an appointment. They were able to get me in quickly and we're so sweet. Mimi did my nails and toes and she did such a great job! read more

I just don't understand why it is so hard to do a simple SNS manicure. I went in and asked for a color I picked and was given something completely different. At day 3-4 they looked terrible and started chipping. I contacted them and they offered to redo. I went in and picked a new color. And AGAIN they put a completely different color than what I asked for on my nails. And again, at day 6, they look AWFUL. I'd call again but the person that takes the calls acts like she's trying to make things right but then rolls her eyes and complains when she thinks you aren't looking. read more

MESSED UP MY NAILS AND RUSHED ME OUT THE DOOR. Went here for my wedding to get my nails done. Got SNS with tips to add some length. That visit went fine (probably because I spent a good amount of money). The issue is when a few weeks later I went to get them taken off. I made an appointment and waited. When the lady came up to me she kept asking me if I wanted gel...I kindly said no, I just wanted them removed, they were getting to long and i'm in the medical field so I just wanted them removed. When she sat me down she clipped some of the tips off then proceeded to take my sns and tips off by DIGGING A FAKE NAIL BETWEEN THE TIP/ SNS AND MY ACTUAL NAIL. WHAT?! I have gotten sns numerous times and I have NEVER seen this done before. I told her it hurt and asked her to use the tin foil method to get it off. They were really busy so I guess she thought gouging my nail off would be quicker. As I waited with the foil, she started to take them off wayyy to early so the SNS had not soften enough. The end result after she buffed them? See for yourself. I've included pics right after they were done. My nails are RUINED. You can tell where she went too deep in some places and where there's still sns polish in other places. idk how this place has good reviews. I guess if you spend more money they treat you better and take their time. I really wanted this place to work out since it's so close to where I live but i'd rather drive farther and honestly pay less so I don't get my nails butchered. read more

This was my first time coming in and all I have to say is this was one of the best experiences i've had with getting my nails done!! It was an hour away from where I live but the drive was SO worth it. The staff were super sweet. My set was $63 with a $10 tip which is very reasonable. I will definitely be back!! If you're in the area or up for a little drive, you definitely should stop by! read more

I had a great experience here and I'd definitely come again! I called and made an appointment because I assumed they would get busy on a weekend and sure enough they were, but they got me seated right away and gave me a HUGE variety of colors to look through for my nails. I had a gel pedicure and got SNS on my finger nails. I requested an ombré design for my finger nails and the nail tech who assisted me, Mymy, did a beautiful and very thorough job! My appointment ran a bit long and went into their closing time but she didn't rush at all and made sure they were to my liking. The interior was very clean and well kept and everyone was very pleasant. They even have me a gift card for next time because my birthday is this month. All in all I had a good experience and I love my nails! read more

Not sure about the gel, but I believe acrylic was 45-50. You will be charged additional fees based on what shape and length nail you want.
