What I Asked for vs. What I Got--A Complete Disappointment I've been a loyal customer of this salon for over a year, but Thursday's appointment was so bad that I won't be back. I came in with two clear reference photos--one for my manicure (black French tip with silver glitter line) and one for my pedicure (black polish with a glitter ombré on the big toe). These are not difficult designs. I showed the images to the techs and explained what I wanted. Unfortunately, there was a constant language barrier. No one told me upfront that the design I wanted couldn't even be done with the polish they were using. Instead of saying, "We need gel to achieve that," they just tried to fake it--badly. The pedicure design looked nothing like the reference photo. Eventually, Kiki (the manager) came out from her own lash appointment to try to help, and even she couldn't make it work. Meanwhile, the manicure was just as bad. The acrylic was way too thick, the shape was boxy and sharp, and when I looked down, I noticed the ends weren't even painted. (See the pictures I've uploaded--yes, that was the "final product" they expected me to accept.) When I pointed it out, Kiki told me I needed to ask for my nails to be "capped." Apparently, that's what the newer techs don't do unless you specifically say it. I've been getting my nails done for years and have never had to explain that I want my nails fully painted--especially when it's black polish. It was a mess. After that, they rushed to get me out. The salon was closing. It was raining and they forced me to wear throwaway foam flip-flops that were three sizes too small, despite me bringing open-toed Crocs. I walked through standing water and pebbles in the parking lot, nearly slipped and fell, and then had to figure out how to get into my brand new Tesla with soaked feet and muddy disposable sandals. At that point, I just paid the $125 (plus tip), brought my frustration home, and tried to move on. But within 24 hours, three nails chipped, and by 48 hours, six were ruined. The polish was thin, full of bubbles, and the edges were so sharp they scratched my child. They didn't answer the phone when I called right after. I've been too busy working since then to go back in person, but I shouldn't have to chase anyone down to fix this. This salon used to be my go-to. But now I completely understand why the reviews have dropped from 5 stars to barely 3. They've stopped caring, and it shows. First visit and overall a great experience. The salon is large, clean, and beautifully designed. My nail tech Lily was amazing--very detailed, friendly, and truly customer-centered. I loved the beverage area as well. The only downside was the front desk not greeting or assisting me and directing me to the kiosk instead. Always issues w polish , chips w in a day . Had to return 4 times for them to fix Christmas nails and they only wanted to reimburse me $20 . Having to return 4 times is my gas and my time . Ridiculous! Just got them done this month for Feb on Friday , polish is chipping already ! I think the problem is old polishes or each tech uses old stuff & they do not monitor. This place is cute. An ad popped up on social media and I decided to check them out. I had a simple design that I wanted and the tech Tana was able to execute! I can tell that some techs are more versed in intricate designs. So if you have a more complex design be sure to show upon arrival to ensure you get a tech that can do it...or check out there social media beforehand to schedule an appt with desired tech! I did think for my simple design it was a little expensive, but it may be the going rate. Visited VIP today around 3:30pm. Very clean organized and amazing decor. They have TVs everywhere you turn. The music is mellow and chill. They made me wait about 20 min but I didn't have an appt. I didn't mind. Everyone was nice. Wish they offered me some wine or water while I waited but it was no big deal. The staff is super friendly. The only recommend recommendation I have is to consider placing different info on the TVs so you can have your choice of cooking or home remodeling. Anything else would be controversial. They have this great bar. It would be nice if they had a water station there so customers could walk up and serve themselves. That would also be more economical then bottles water. read more

I came to get sns done on my nails because my middle finger nail was loose. I had told the nail tech this information beforehand and she still preceded to use the electronic nail file and she ended up drilling my finger *OUCH!!!* I also had a hot stone pedicure and the lady who did my pedi didn't realize how HOT the stones were so it burned so badly. Came to this nail salon for a first time for a birthday set, first i understand they are busy and I don't expect for them to go over the top on customer service on a Saturday morning, but human decency. As I was explaining to Kevin(nail tech) what I wanted, he kept being very inpatient with me. Like I said I get it it's a Saturday but as a customer I am paying for a service and if i am getting my nails done I want to enjoy the service too. I end up asking him what base would look better w the color I wanted and he continues to give me a halfass answer, I am trying not to be confrontational so I let it be, it seemed like every question I asked him it annoyed him so bad ( kept rolling his eyes at me ) . When I asked him for charms and what colors they had he kept telling me any color, then I asked to see the colors and he got so annoyed. I asked him if he could please put extra glue in the charm that I had on my nail and he did not do it and as a result the charm fell off. When I came back to get it fix 2 days after, he has the audacity to tell me why you took it off? I told him I didn't, I was doing laundry and it fell off. Laughed at me and then leaves to next customer. A new lady come to fix the charms, her attitude was not it either at this point I just want to get it done and leave bc every nail tech is looking at me as an inconvenience not a customer. She proceeds to add hellla glue to the charm and now it looks like a dot of glue in my nail , so bad that overflow the charm. I asked if she could clean around it and she said no and proceeded to say " no you can't get it off now ", I said thank you , stud up and left. Kevin has also said to me before that a color doesn't for with my skin tone , when asking about colors. Overalll the whole interaction with this place has been very disappointing, from unprofessional to very rude. Never again! I came here a couple years ago and my nails were beautiful so I decided to treat my daughter to manicures and pedicures today. When I told the gentleman that my nails were way too sharp on the corners he kept taking length off and I kept saying no length just round the corners more. By the time he was done they were nubs and still extremely sharp corners. I explained that this was not at all what I asked for I was told there was nothing they could do unless I wanted to PAY to have them redone. I asked for the owner and the man I spoke to said he would give me $10 credit...my total was $220! I asked if I could if they couldn't be fixed for them to be removed and I was told that not only would they not give me a refund but I would have to pay $15 to have them removed! My daughters nails have bubbles, the polish does cover the tip on two, she was cut and still had tons of hangnails along with both of my big toes being messed up as well. In this economy if you have a customer willing to spend $220 in your establishment then I would try harder to give them quality work. Each of these items are minor and alone I probably wouldn't of even said anything but that is way too expensive for this to be brought to there attention and be told $10 was the best they were willing to do and I still feel like an adequate refund should be given. read more

I have now visited 2 times and came in both times for my set that I already had. I am from Las Vegas and had the same awesome nail tech for 3 years. When I moved here I tried several places in lawrenceville where I live. And they all were horrible at designs, long acrylic sets, and was only good for overlays and manicures. I was stuck with soccer m nails for the first year of being here. In June I couldn't take it anymore and I flew home got my nails done, came back and found this place on google. Tammy filled my set and it was like I was back home. My first visit Monique was there getting her nails done.
