I've found Mike to have such a positive and thoughtful presence. Not only does he have a good eye for attention to detail and an ability to do good work quickly, but he doesn't hesitate to give me advice when I'm undecided! These 2 recent images are from my visit yesterday, where I got a Short GelX Almond Cat-eye from Mike while my grandfather received the $50 level pedicure from Selina. He is definitely a character. Very nervous 80+ year old Spanish-speaking man that doesn't trust people, but Selina was kind, patient, and way nicer than she needed to be. This is his second time getting a maintenance trim since he can no longer do it himself and he always leaves feeling like we were treated like royalty! The front attendant V got us comfortably seated immediately and the complimentary drinks/ seasonal candy are always a nice touch. I had some delicious hot tea & even got some cute photos showing off my new nails :) Btw the small cuts on my fingers are from my personal bad habit of pulling and ripping my cuticles. I find getting nails helps me when it's at my worst as I can no longer pick at my skin or nails! Mike was very careful to ensure I wasn't in any pain & completely changed the way I felt about my hands. I hope this set lasts a while! My previous pink coffin set from last year lasted almost full 3 weeks I believe (lots of washing and manual labor as a server). I'm hoping these last the same if not longer now that I work from home! I was also informed that owners changed, as the previous manager bought out the place... sad to see some friends go but I love the change in decor and overall space feels elevated in quality. I got acrylics with UV/LED light and gel. I got art and 3D gems added. The total was $95, which is really reasonably priced for what I received! They are Korean style nails and Claire DID THAT ! Claire is diligent, focused, and really artistic. She put so much extra work in the small details as well and I reallly appreciated her thoroughness. I am having my bridal shower tomorrow and I came in with two inspiration photos. I showed them to her and told her I wanted a whiteish/milky base and some glittery and some sparkles on the tip. I asked for bows, pearls, and rhinestone. I also told her that I trust with what she does and she made ART! She worked her magic and literalllyyyyyyyyyy I am blown away! The pictures do not do it justice. My previous nail experience was traumatic (lollll) and never thought I'd ever find someone I liked, but Claire changed my mind. She is amazing!!! Maybe but I don't know for sure) and they have NO prices listed. I walked in a few weeks ago with my 10 and 12 year daughters who are literally allowed to get their nails done once a year. I asked for the price of a mani/pedi for them and after a LOT of back and forth In another language, I was told $25. One of my daughters wanted gel so I knew they would add some for her. They asked the younger daughter about gel and she said no multiple times. Guess what, they painted her nails with gel. I went to pay and I was absolutely shocked by the prices, definitely not $25 as I was told, plus a surcharge now to use a credit card. Not only did I way overpay (no price transparency at all) but now I "get" to pay to have my daughter's gel nails removed after 2 weeks because she cannot keep them for cheer. Don't know what is going on here but get it fixed!
