Megan, the store manager took care of me because I wanted some designs for Valentine's Day. She took really care of me base on my daily activity and how hard I am with my hands. I haven't reviewed Renaissance since 2016 so it's time for an update. As you may have read, it's under new management. I personally haven't had any issues with the new owner. What I can say is that every single time that I've tried to go to a different salon when I can't get in here, I'm VERY disappointed. Jenny is my go-to Nail Tech and Tina is my pedicurist and hands down no one..I mean no one can come even remotely close to matching their skills. I just recently switched from acrylic to SNS powder nails and as always Jenny did not disappoint. Yes, it's an older nail salon but I've tried the salons with all the glitter and glam and that's where it stops. Go to Renaissance and I promise you won't be disappointed. read more

I have not had my nails done in ages, and I'm glad I stumbled upon this place. Great credits to those who Yelped this neat little place! Tam (aka Kathy) was great. Although new to this location (2 or 3 days brand new), she has been doing nails over 15 years. She was a tad quiet at first, but then she opened up more and her sweetness really showed. She was very meticulous as she performed my manicure, and I just adore how she took her time and did things carefully. The owner (or I believe he's the owner) was simply adorb! He was cheerful and looked really hien (kind). He was funny because he immediately asked if I had called earlier. Um. That was like an hour or two ago. He made a point to ask me if I was Viet because my last name popped up on the caller idea. He was just too funny! Although I live 20 minutes from this place, I will most definitely come back here again and recommend this place to anyone. Some of the Yelp reviewers are accurate when they say this is the place to go. Although the shop is small & quaint indeed (has a Renaissance theme going on), the sweet staff makes this trip worthwhile. They even offer you water too. :) The vibe here was very positive and heartwarming. I most definitely recommend this place! Oh. At last, a wonderful nail experience less than ten miles away. Husband and wife owners Khang and Hong took over Renaissance Nails two years ago. The salon is bright, airy and very organized. Once you enter, you'll notice polish selections on the right wall, a festive Christmas tree in the corner, rounded mirrors over each massage chair and renaissance art which reminds me to renew my passport so I can cross Europe off my 'list'. Add on the food network shows in the background, friendly technicians and great pricing, and you have a winner. My manicure was $10 and pedicures start at $18 with options to add on services. Relaxing arm and leg massages topped off the visit. Ask for Trang and Linh. Location - The storefront just says Nails. The owner plans to update signage after the new year. Facing Kroger, the shop is to the right next to an indian restaurant. Not to be confused with Allure Nails on the far left end of the plaza. I drive 45 minutes from Chamblee to get my nails done here every few weeks. Jenny's precision when doing my acrylic fills is unmatched. She takes extra time to make sure the width, length, and shape are nothing short of perfect. I lift weights every day and am pretty hard on my nails and hands, and I've never had an issue with chips or breaking. I recommend making an appointment in advance as they usually only have a few people on the floor at a time. read more

I noticed that my friend Tulie L. stopped and enjoyed her visit so I thought I'd walk in and try them out for myself. To my surprise, I was extremely pleased with the overall service and results of my pedicure. My pedicurist was fantastic! Never had such an amazing foot and leg massage from a basic pedicure package. For $19.00, it's a great deal. The polish stayed on for more than 2 weeks and the color did not chip at all. this is my go to nail salon and it has been for as long as I can remember. My mom has brought me here since I was a kid and we both continue to go to this day. We even moved to roswell and still make the trip over to johns creek to get our nails done. My nail tech Meagan does such a good job working with me and creating the nails I want. My regular place canceled on me today do I searched On Yelp and Renaissance had overall good reviews. I walked in and was serviced right away for a regular mani/pedi. While I am VERY particular I took a chance, and I wasn't disappointed!! Kathy did my manicure and it was pretty good and Hannah did my pedicure and it was pretty good as well. I was absolutely blown away by this place. I came in with an outgrown four week old gel manicure. My original nails were very long and I wanted to change the shape. I'm not sure who did my nails but she did an absolutely amazing job. She worked very meticulously and made sure I liked the shape after every nail. They did a great job on my pedicure even though it was a little pricey. The 3 stars is due to the overall cleanliness. It was very cramped and wasn't very tidy and didn't feel or look very clean. Ever since I moved to Johns Creek, I've been using this salon. I love it. Everyone is so so sweet and remember you. I always see Miss Angie for my acrylics. She is AWESOME. Always has a smile on her face, professional, sweet as can be and good at what she does. Her pedicures are to die for. I have only had one bad experience here with a leg wax but management quickly made it right. They lack only in the nail design aspect. If you want something other than stripes or a flower or snowflake, I'd suggest trying to do it yourself after they put a regular coat of polish down. Everything is super clean and I have learned a bit from FoodNetwork that they have playing. Saturday and Sunday mornings are usually the busiest. I highly recommend these guys!! read more

The glowing reviews on Yelp led me to Renaissance Nails. Nail salons are a dime a dozen, so when you see such good feedback for a place, you've got to pounce! I made an appointment for a mani/pedi, which runs for $28. A bit cheaper than most places I have been to. I believe a mani alone is $11 and a pedi alone is $18 or 19. Since I opted for a regular French manicure, there was a $5 surcharge. The interior is indeed very clean and bright. We (including my boyfriend, who was waiting on me) were offered something to drink several times, which I really appreciated. Though I WAS thirsty, I turned down the offer since my hands were being occupied by the manicurist. Both the manicurist and pedicurist took their sweet time on me. In fact, the actual painting of the nails was the quickest part. They were very thorough and neat with their work. If I had to nitpick, I think the manicurist cut my cuticles on a couple of fingers a bit too close, because they stung for a few hours after whenever I washed my hands. Note: They do not allow tips on credit cards, so be sure to have some cash. [edit:] Just wanted to note a couple of things. French manicures are not known to last very long. True to this testament, my French from Renaissance only lasted 2-3 days before I noticed cracks in the tips. I don't know if that is shorter than usual because the only other time I got a French manicure from a salon, it lasted a good week or so before I saw any flaws. My pedicure is still going strong nearly three weeks later, however. That's enough to bring me back. Also, they are a bit old-school and do not use the electric mitts on your hands when doing a manicure. Instead, they use hot towels. read more

DON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE! I've NEVER had a pedicure as awesome as I had tonight. I asked for a Deluxe Pedicure and Jenny went above and beyond to ensure that I had an amazing experience (she even offered me a free soda). She massaged my legs and feet for a very long time while I drooled in the awesome massage chair. It was so nice, I was beginning to feel a little drunk, lol. It's a bit of a drive for me but I'll make the hike to go see Jenny from now on. BTW, I had a tiny bit of trouble finding the place. It's in the Kroger shopping center, next to an Indian restaurant. After getting my hair done, I figured to try this nearby nail salon out after reading all the Yelp reviews. Nothing fancy about the salon, but here are a few things that makes this nail salon stand out above the rest: 1. If you get a pedicure, even just the normal pedicure, they massage your feet and legs MUCH longer than any nail salon I've been to. This alone will bring me back here. 2. The staff are Vietnamese, but they speak better English that your average salon. 3. The nail polish brand they have to offer consists of OPI and some Ecco, and they are not diluted with an extender. I'll definitely be coming back here again for the leg/feet massages. read more

Super pleased! I came into the salon for a mani pedi around 11:30am on a Thursday morning. I was seated right away and they began with no time to waste. I did not catch the name of the ladies that did my nails, but they were both sweet and professional. I liked that there wasn't much chatter. A lot of times I feel like the people doing my nails at salons are gossiping about me and making fun of me (my friends who speak vietnamese usually confirm for me) - I know I don't have the most attractive feet!! LOL! The pedicure was relaxing and the lady took her time with the scrub massage and the lotion massage. The manicurist was very attentive. She even saw me picking at a piece of my cuticle after she trimmed them and went back to fix it. Both ladies asked to make sure I was content with the color right after they started. When they were finished, I was just sitting and examining their great work and my guy at the front desk came over to make sure nothing was wrong. I was so disappointed on my latest experience here. I've been here a few times, and never had such a bad job done on my nails, but it was pretty poor. First of all, it appears they have gotten rid of their tub liners or were out. I won't go to a salon without them. It's definitely more sanitary. The girl who did my toes did a pretty good job, but my nails were a wreck. First of all, I told her I like them short. I also told her I wanted a French manicure. So she proceeded to cut some of my nails so short, you can see the tips of my fingers sticking out. So it really looks funny when you get the bright white at the tips, and have the rest of two fingers sticking out. That was another issue. The nails were not even at all. Then, she ended up making me bleed when she was doing my cuticles. This is an absolute no-no. If they don't sterilize their equipment well, you can risk getting Hepatitis C. Plus, it freaking hurts. So then she grabs the rectangle buffer and proceeded to run over the newly fresh bleeding wound she created. I was really upset. She apologized, so I didn't want to be mean, but I will NEVER step foot back in here again. read more

I have been going to this nail salon for years. Always professional! The young ladies have been there for as long as I have been going there.. little turn over says a lot about a place. The owners are always there..it is a great family owned shop. My nails always look great and they typically can do my nails and feet at the same time which is a great time saver. Appointments are best but not necessary. Prices are very fair. The only thing I would like to see different are more gel color selections. They still get a 5 star from me! read more

This was not a clean facility. They served my mom first and there appeared to be other people eligible to do my nails but they proceeded to finish my moms and then start on me. The real problem was the nails. They did not do a good job in general and didn't put the clear top coat on only one of my feet.
