My pedicure with LaTanya was the best I've had in years. Many times in the past, I've felt very rushed and roughly handled when I would receive nail services, which creates a very negative experience. I immediately felt at ease with LaTanya. All of the ladies were so nice to talk to and made me feel so comfortable. The owner kept talking about how they take time to make sure every one loves the nails they walk out with. She said they try different methods to come to a great solution and find what works for the client. In the end, after multiple visits, she said the she feels that we can't find something that I am happy with although I have tipped every time, been nice (extremely, especially when bringing treats for the staff (macaroons) along with a bouquet of flowers)) and continued to book with them. I never said I wasn't happy as a client and honestly am appalled at how little she made me feel. The owner blocked me from being able to book appointments with no explanation and I am shocked. Where do I begin....the fact that I don't live in ATL and can't see KaSundra more often, or how precise she is, or how creative her artistic aesthetic is....or how about just all of it. From the moment I walked in (and it's in the "cut" be on the look out for signs) everything felt serene, zen music flowing, amazing aroma from her sister's candles (she sells those there too) to her warm and inviting energy. FYI: She followed all COVID protocols. The bathroom sink creative touch to put energy stones written happy and loving words on them just gave me automatic vibe that I stepped into the best nail salon experience without her even laying a hand on my nails. Now onto Madame KaSundra. She is one of the most down to earth people I've met. She is grounded and always willing to learn and appease to the clientele to the best of her ability. I didn't stop laughing once because of her warm and true to self energy. I received the apres gel manicure extensions and tbh i didnt even want them anymore because she did such a spectacular job on my natural nails. THAT'S HOW GOOD SHE IS!!!! However I love apres nails last so long and look so natural especially when someone like KASUNDRA, who takes such pride in her craft, you can't go wrong with beautiful long nails that LAST!! Phenomenal experience! This is so much of a spa experience than the other nail mills. While scheduling a mani /ped the follow-up and attention were top tier kind and encouraging. It was a tough week of launching young adults and traveling to take care of elderly relatives. I am committed to self-care to sustain my well-being. I wanted a respite experience and that is exactly what I got! Kasundra (owner) was professional and customer-obsessed. My impression walking in was a true affirmation "I was exactly where I needed to be". My visit started with a temp check and washing my hands in a sink with inscribed rocks with words like love, hope, faith, and dream. I was then shown to the area with foot tubs and big comfy chairs. I was greeted by LaTonya and offered a beverage. The ambiance and soft jazz set the scene for being pampered. The room had one other tub and lots of green plants. Again, it was exactly where I needed to be. LaTanya's vibe was aligned with professionalism and a calming vibe. Every staff person was as kind and calm as the one before. KaSundra stopped by to welcome me and thanked me for coming. This woman is living her ministry, not a dogmatic religious type, but more like a calling guided by the divine. The positive energy was aligned with beautiful faces and spirits. There were lots of options and products with pressure. I may take pics next time. For me, it was important to be present. My nails were a mess when I lumbered into Nail Spa Haven. I'm studying for a big exam for work, so I haven't made much "me" time. My boyfriend convinced me I was overdue and helped me find this respite. Recently, while on vacation in Florida, I discovered my new favorite brand of nail polish called Dazzle Dry. Not everyone offers this high-end brand, but Nail Spa Haven does and that's what brought me here. I noticed OPI and Pop of Color are available, too. This quaint, quiet spa is located in Sandy Springs and is ultra clandestine. That's by design as I quickly discovered it isn't looking for walk-ins. You must schedule an appointment and provide a credit card to hold your spot. The owner will text you helpful directions upon booking. I felt totally pampered. I received hot tea upon arrival (water and wine offered, too!), a neck warmer and the ultimate in manicure/pedicure care. My nail tech, Marcia, took my nails from ragged to remarkable in just a couple of hours. And I liked the one-on-one treatment - it's a more serene experience and I'm willing to pay a little more for that atmosphere. Last night I had the immense pleasure of being pampered by KaSundra, owner of Haven. After being greeted at the front door and shown around the spa, I quickly began to realize that KaSundra and I agreed that perfect is definitely not the enemy of good, and that 'good enough' is not enough. A master at her craft and a true perfectionist, KaSundra was warm and welcoming, and brilliant at what she does. My time in her care blew by as her presence and conversation were engaging and enjoyable. I indulged in the waterless Sol mani and pedi with Dazzle Dry and I'm loving the results! Nail Spa Haven is definitely an amazing place to visit and an amazing experience for Nail Care as well as a great pedicure. My being interested in holistic and natural everything in my life made Nail Spa Haven the perfect place for me. Walking into a Zen environment that is filled with nothing but great smells and great energy. My nail technician Kasundra was very warm and welcoming, she made me feel like I was at home in the comfort of my own living room. Instructed to wash my hands, I go into the bathroom that is decorated with great colors that are warm and welcoming, I come back out and sit at the station. While the soft music is playing I'm walked through what my Nail Spa Haven experience is going to be. Excited but also a little Leary on how this is going to be pulled off without using any harsh chemicals or toxins that are going to leach through my nail beds or that I'm going to inhale during the process. I decide on a gel overlay. There are no powders there are no liquids that omit a bunch of harmful fumes and I decide to just sit back and enjoy the ride. We engage in wonderful conversation. I talk about my business, she talks about her business, the birth, the ongoing process, and the client encounter on a daily basis. Before know it the gel overlay is complete and the process of smoothing my nails out begins. She notices while applying the gel overlay that I have something called Rings of Fire. This is when you go to a regular nail salon and they take a file on a Dremel and file your nail bed away. I learned that this is very harmful to the growth and the health of your nails I also learned that as I continue to return to have Kasundra take great care of my nails that these rings of fire would eventually disappear. I decided to forgo having any color applied because I'm so excited about how healthy and beautiful my nails look in their natural state. A coat of clear will go on to my nails and soon I will experience a hand and forearm massage. My nails are done, my experience was amazing, and I can't wait to tell my friends and family in the Atlanta area. If you are looking for a personal experience with nothing but great products used that are not harmful to the environment and more importantly to you, I suggest Nail Spa Haven located in the upper portion of Buckhead. Kasundra and her team at Nail Spa Haven exceeded all of my expectations!!! They have a lot of great services and take their time in giving you the pampering that you deserve. Her location is intimate and soothing. Just what the doctor ordered. Thus far, I've had my nails and feet done and received a body massage by Errol - which was amazing! The atmosphere of this salon is unmatched! It is a lovely intimate space. Intimate is not a code word for small in this instance but this place is truly cozy. If you compare Nail Spa Haven to a larger nail salon with several techs and chairs, those places make you feel like you're sitting on top of the people next to you. I got the Apres gel extensions and I am in love. Kasondra took her time and it shows. At least 10 minutes on my cuticles alone! She was very attentive to my goals as far as growing my nails and offered some education on what my best options were.
