Diane is absolutely incredible. she does my nails, my lashes, and I also get my toes done here, and every single time I leave feeling beautiful and cared for. Her work is flawless, and she truly takes her time to make sure everything is perfect. What I love even more is that the entire salon is consistent. I've sat with other technicians, and honestly, everyone in there delivers five-star service. That says a lot about the quality and standards they keep. Kim and Tom, the owners, are just as amazing. I had such a positive experience at Q nails and spa in Sandy Springs. This nail salon is just up Roswell Road and right off the exit and very easy to access. It's in a bigger shopping center so there's plenty of places to park. I went on a Monday afternoon before 2 PM and it was quite empty in there which I really liked. Bryan was my nail tech and I just have to say he should definitely be getting paid more. I went to Q nails and Spa, because my sister recommended it to me and she was absolutely right. It was the best place to go. Bryan asked me if I wanted a drink, and he gave me a margarita which it wasn't fancy in anyway, but just the thought and extra touch made it a better experience for me. I was able to relax in their comfortable chairs that were more on the new side, very well kept. The whole place is very clean, smells good. Everyone working there seems to respect each other as well which is a huge plus to see as a customer. Love this place! I had such a wonderful experience at Q Nails. I was in the area and decided that it'd be the perfect day to get my nails done. I hopped on Yelp and found Q Nails and gave them a call. After being assured that I could be seen immediately upon walk-in, I was set. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted and whisked away to a pedicure massage chair. Because I was getting a manicure and a pedi, I was pampered by two employees at once as I sat back and listened to a podcast, taking some moments to chat with the sweet employees. I was going to do gel but the manicurist recommended that I try 'dip' and I went with it. He did such a fantastic job! My only issue was that my nails didn't chip, but the came off in whole pieces which sounds ideal but those that didn't pop off were a pain to get off on my own. Still, a beautiful job by Q Nails! My pedi was a fantastic experience, one of my favorite ways to get fabulous. Truly a wonderful nail appointment and I'll definitely be back. read more

She was kind and talked through my design idea pics. She'd check in on occasion to see if I was cool with it so far. I would take off a little because they weren't able to fulfill my design idea as much as I hoped (not the right colors or rhinestones available) but it still looked good! Price was around $60 without tip ($35 for the mani, additional charges for design and one chipped nail that needed a fake nail glued on). I have been going there for a couple years. I have had two bad experiences back to back now and I'm not going back. I paid for my granddaughter to have her nails and toes done. I zelled the cost and generous tip for both women, not knowing she tipped them too. It wound up tipping $50 each which we did not mean to do. When I asked to correct it the owner told me I was welcome to come into the shop and ask the girls to give me my money back. That coupled with the woman I used to use always being late she because she will take on a complex nail design even when there was not the allotted time in the appointment, then rush through mine. Also, the owner told me my 18 yo granddaughter got a full set of nails and when I saw her a few hours later she did not get a full set of nails. They were her own nails. I was charged $161 for nails and pedi. I'm done there. read more

I honestly give them a 4.5. They do good work, are always nice and never rude. The technician who did my nails is Rose. She's a kind, patient and takes her time. She tells you what you need ( new acrylic ect) and follows your desires. This cost me $80- Overlay(new), French Tip w/clear pink acrylic powder and almond shape. Only negative about this shop is the price changes consistently. You have no way of knowing what you're being charged for. $80 seems a little steep but because the experience was pleasant & I'm happy with outcome I didn't fight. Just ask the price before they start working so there aren't any surprises. read more

For starters, I've gotten my nails done here on two different occasions and instead of the service getting better it got worse! I'm only giving one star generously because the second time was a completely disaster that ended in me leaving the spa after getting the WORSE nail service I've ever received, Without paying! But the manager Thomas was super helpful and solution based starting with getting me back to have my services completed by someone else! Anyways, my first attempt at getting my nails done here was actually not a bad experience at all. I had Rose and she was efficient. My only complaint with this first service was I did have to come back because some of the gel color was not evenly painted on causing bubbles and lighter spots in some areas of the nail than others. However, overall when I returned (next day) the staff made it right no question. My second visit, I returned because again, there was nothing wrong my first visit and I left satisfied. I only got my nails done in a full set my first time so the second time I came in for a full set and pedicure! I entered the spa and told the gentleman upfront what I wanted just like anyone would. He said it'll be just a moment so I went to the restroom while he got things together. Upon returning there were two people present one for each service and they were waiting with smiling faces to get started so I was confident that because I wasn't asked, he had relayed my two services and we would just be moving forward with starting. The lady on the pedicure was not able to speak good English and I also believe she was training because people kept coming over looking over her shoulder and talking to her in their language. Honestly, I had no issues with the pedicure lady. Training or not, she was taking her time and very detailed! However, the nail lady was THE WORST!!! I asked her several times what she was doing because I'm no nail tech but I get my nails done religiously enough to know the process and this lady was NOT doing a familiar process for the full set service I requested! She started by using a nail clipper to chip away at my current set of nails leaving uneven lines all across my nails. I'm my mind, I'm like "okay... maybe she's chipping away so it's less acrylic to soak off." Next she started drilling which was okay so I was a little more confident in where we were going. Then next she pulled out acrylic and started applying it. This is where I asked, "what are you doing" and she insisted she was doing the right thing and for me to relax because "she would take care of me" Chilllleeeee, this lady did the WORST and I mean the WORST fill in I've ever seen. Mind you, that's NOT the service I requested! You could see my old acrylic under the new one just all raggedy and clipped away so even if I did want a fill in, the fact that this is how you went about it is STILL WRONG! I told her this is not acceptable because I came to get a French tip full set. I was leaving for Costa Rica in two days and had to drive to Nashville that same day so I didn't have time for her to fix a mistake after I had already been asking "what you're doing." At this point, she started to get loud with me and talking in her own language to a nearby lady and walked off to go grab this nude color to use as a base for my French tips. The damn powder she was using wasn't even conducive for my French tip set because it was clear and not nude of some sort which we all know the base is the freaking powder. Anyways, when she realizes she has messed up and I'm not happy nor do I have time today to continue giving her to fix it she was even louder and started using hand motions in close proximity to me which made me uncomfortable and lead me to leaving so the altercation wouldn't escalate! In the end, the manager called with a solution to fix my nails and I returned the next day. I was still not satisfied with my redo job because I still didn't get French tips since the lady messed up the acrylic base so we went with all white nails and toes. Moral of the story, just go somewhere else. Even when the service is decent you're going to have to return and nobody has time to keep coming back after a service due to dissatisfaction in a basic task! read more

Unfortunately... likely my last visit here. I've been going to this salon since it opened. The owners are really sweet. For the last few months of my visits before I moved to Mexico in 2020, the service has just gotten progressively worse. So, here I am, back home for a visit (10/3/2023). Out of nostalgia and familiarity, I return to QNail for an SNS clear manicure. The nail tech seemed to be irritated that I asked for this simple service, but he proceeds. My nails only have a plain clear polish. He files my nails with the electric buffer, catching the dry edges of my cuticles. He then dips my nails in the powder a couple of times each and then files again with the electric buffer. At the end, my nails are thick with powder and unevenly shaped. This was THE ABSOLUTE WORSE nail job ever. I am providing this review a week after my service. My cuticles are sore and slightly infected. I've been oiling them with tea tree and oregano oils to sooth the pain a ward off infection. Sadly, I will not return to QNails again. I miss the days when the nail techs REALLY cared and serviced my aesthetic needs. To Tom & Kim ... good luck. Your business has grown and you have greatly prospered. I am so mad!! I came here last week (Tuesday) today is Friday and I had already 3 nails chipped really bad on my left hand and 2 on my right hand and the other ones were about to chip as well. Gel usually is supposed to last 2/3 weeks not 9 days. so I came and showed them and they made me sit and they we're fixing it ( which I thought I was not gonna pay since it's been so short of period!)and then told me that Sns is better for my nails and asked him how much was the difference and then at the end they made me paid for a whole new manicure!!!! WtfI paid $100 in manicure in 1 week!!!! I am pissed!! I never gonna go back!!! The girl that did my nails today was pretty good but this was so messed up!!! Do not go here! The owner (female) is rude and only after money. I got my nails done last week (gel) and it began to chip off the top within a few days and lift one nail. I also got a full pedicure (gel) which also messed up. I went in to ask them to fix it because I have been to many nails shops and gel last a good while. The owner told me she could fix one of my nails and I would have to pay for my toe. Im looking like what can I do with the other nails. They of course talked about me which I don't mind I just wanted my nails to look decent after paying over $100 with 4 designs. She told me if they needed to be redone I would need to pay an additional $50. I told her just fix what she could. It is not about money but customer service. There is no reason my nails should have looked like this after a few days. This in turn reminded me of why I stopped coming here years ago. I get up from my nail being fixed and they speak in their language to meet me at the front like I wasn't going to pay. Andy, came and said it's $7 for your toe, pay cash. I said excuse me! He said you can pay cash. I said I can pay any form of payment I have. Then he said you can put in your number for points I told him I was not going to be returning. He proceeded to ask me why, I said that I didn't appreciate the way I was treated and would not be put in a position of getting out of my respectable character for nails. I moved to the Sandy Springs area from Alpharetta in July. Immediately, I needed my nails done. I found Q Nails and decided to try them out. I've been there a total of about five times. I wanted to give this place a fair chance before writing a review (good or bad). I don't believe you can have one experience and rate a place. Needless to say - they get three stars. I was leaning on two but decided against it. This place is super overpriced for the type of service that you get. A fill in starts at 75 and the work is general subpar, As noted - I've been here five times. Each time I've been left with more and more disappointment. My nails aren't done to my liking. They products they use aren't top notch so I can't understand the price point. The last experience was enough - the lady that did my pedicure used a drill on my toes and I didn't even have gel polish. Now my toe nails are brittle and literally after two days started to break. Each time I get my nails done - the shape is off or they are bumpy or just something weird. Needless to say - try another place around the area or drive 15 mins to iNails Alpharetta- amazing staff and amazing outcome every time!! read more

I have given this place not one, not two, but there times. The first time was amazing!! Diane was the best I've ever had when it comes to manicures. I came back asked for her, they gave me someone else "comparable". He was the worst manicurist ever. I'll post a pic for that one. I came back and the owner fixed them. She did much better but not even that amazing. I came back as they promised this time they'd be like my first visit. It's just a non relaxing experience and I have to tell the tech to do the steps she skips. Like the very basic nail height comparison she skipped and said they were even, when I asked her to check they were not so she had to fix. Then the pedicure. I simply ask for square toes. So so so simple. They can't even give me square toes and didn't understand what I meant so the owner came and explained and I still somehow had a crooked toe. I don't know why I came back if I am being honest, I just wanted to give them another chance since they fixed it last time. I understand this industry and can't expect everyone to speak English, but it would be very helpful if the receptionist could communicate to the technician what our requests are so there is not a huge commutation barrier. Q Nails and Spa accept's walk in's but if possible make an appointment. The hours are 9:30-8, Mon-Fri., Sat 9:30-7:30 and Sun. 12-6. They will have you fill out your info on an ipad, this is how you check in and out. They have a point system and after so many visit's you'll get a discount on your services. They will text you specials for your birthday or special offers they run during the holidays. They have set pricing but if you start adding designs, rhinestones and anything else like that, there is an upcharge, but your nail tech will tell you before starting. During the lock down period, they sent texts messages with updates about closing and reopening. They have put up plexi glass with opening for your hands at stations and only every other chair is sat. Staff and clients are wearing masks and hand sanitizer is available. Stations are wiped down and sanitized in between clients. Will is my nail art specialist, I have been to him many times and he knows what I like. When I first started going here and sat with Will, I told him, you are the artist, my nails are the canvas, do your thing. He got to know what I liked and I have never been dissappointed. Watching everyone in there, is just about the same way. They listen to their clients and take it from there. My nails always look great, I get compliments on them, all the time.
