Had a good first time experience at Fantastic Nails! Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. They are clear with what they are doing and double check with you every time. It's a small space, but gets the job done. I got a pedicure and gel manicure for $65 total. Calluses clean and massage was well done. Safe to say I'll be back! read more

I came here because my usual place was a bit further away. I saw reviews saying they have good service and have reached other's expectations, so I tried it out. They were able to seat me right away, and get me started on my nails. The lady who did mine was very thorough with the shaping and design, which made my experience even better!! My mom came along with me and got a pedicure. Her #1 concern with pedicures is getting massages and getting her callous removed. They exceeded her expectations!! She told me to come back here again especially for a pedicure. I will be coming back here again, seeing they did an excellent job providing an amazing service! read more

E X P E R I E N C E My friend and I came in to get our nails done. I wanted a french gel mani and my friend wanted to get a pale green gel mani. I called 2 mins (lol) ahead of time and they said they could seat us immediately. When we got here, we weren't helped until 20 mins in. There were 6 other clients in the store before we arrived. My french mani looked beautiful. It was done well. However my friends mint green gel mani was v uneven and lumpy. It did not look good. See photos. I think it really depends on who does your nails for you. The lady that did mine was vietnamese, and her dtr works in the salon as well. I didn't get her name... I N F E C T I O N P R E V E N T I O N Everyone was maring a mask. Clients and employees. They require you to wash your hands before they worked on you. Tools were not sanitized between customers. The ladies at this place know how to do nails right! My friend and I decided to get manicures and gel pedicures - we were the only customers on a rainy Thursday, we had just flown in from Cali and wanted some pampering. I opted for just a regular clean manicure and teal gel deluxe pedicure with lavender scrub. The ladies expertly worked their magic on my nails and they came out looking awesome. Total came out to be $62 and I gave a $12 tip- they deserved it! I highly recommend this place for some fantastic nails. read more

I visited a week ago to treat my sister and daughter to some girl time, but won't be returning. My sister and daughter got basic pedis with gel polish. I got a deluxe pedi (or whatever it was called just to try something new) and I got sns nails with tips while my daughter and sister just got gel polish. The total was $239 + tip. The staff was very pushy and misleading. My daughter wanted a Hello Kitty design and was forced to pick something else, when had they said they couldn't do it, I would have added it later at home for her. Later the same day, my daughter's gel nails started chipping. My sister had to ask her technician several times not to clip her cuticles as she had recently had a mani and didn't need them clipped. My daughter's toenails were not shaped and the blue gel polish was not cleaned from her skin around her toes. Most of my nails are crooked- leaning slightly to my left and not smoothed on the top, each having a lumpy texture to them. I advised the technician that in my line of work, I am not allowed to wear nail color so I requested to have them buffed instead. Instead of using the regular clear or white powder, she insisted on using the powder that matched my toes and kept trying to offer a matte coat, to which I declined several times asking her again to please just buff them. After a rush job due to lack of automation, only one nail was actually a little shiny. Two days later, a couple of my nails started lifting. I knew the work was subpar but was in a rush to get it over with so I just paid and waited for the technician to finish polishing my sister's nails. When she finally finished, another patron had to remind them that I had already paid for everyone, which makes no sense because the man who cashed me out asked each technician out loud in front of everyone what i owed for our services before writing each response down on a piece of scratch paper and using a calculator to add my total up. Oh, and there was no receipt. They definitely need to invest in itemized receipts since they let you glimpse the menu then quickly take it away before they start the service. We went here because it was close to my sister and I enjoyed the time with the girls but I really wish we had chosen somewhere else to go. read more

I got a basic manicure and I really did not like how my nails looked. The nail polish was old, clumpy and very thick and you can see the actual layers on my nails. The dryer machine for the nails didn't work either (I checked two of them). Unfortunately I saw one live cockroach and also one dead cockroach too. read more

What a great job Kylie did on my nails. I originally wanted the owner to do my nails but he said he doesn't do nails so Kylie and I began. She started by asking me what I wanted and helped me make some better decisions and kindly told me let her know if there's anything that I want her to fix if I didn't like. We didn't converse to much about this bc she really knew what she was doing. I'm talking laying my nail bed in excellence! I almost didn't get the tip based on how pretty she laid the pink bed. Towards the end she took her time and had extra steps that I haven't seen seen anyone do. Even though they were closed and others were leaving she never rushed through my set. It was my first time to this salon completely on a whim. They fit me in right away and Mary did an AMAZING job with my full set! She's incredibly detailed and spent good energy on my design to get the shapes exactly how I wanted. Never been more happy coming out of the nail salon! it's was very relaxing and quiet inside, I asked for French tip and the French tip wasn't how I wanted in the picture. they filed my nail to the side and my nails looked triangular rather than almond shape...like how I asked. but very nice people and quick service. they offer you water and give you warm hot towels on your hands after which is very relaxing. would I come again? yes very cheap too read more

I've been going to this place for 10 years maybe longer. I moved further north, and have to drive 40 minutes to come here, but as long as they are in business, I will not go anywhere else. T is my girl, but all the ladies here do a great job from what I can see. Check out my photo, white gel nails after 4 weeks, in great shape. And yes I do a lot of work around the house, cleaning, gardening, etc. read more

SO PRETTY!!!! they squeezed us in last minute and did such an amazing job. They really did a good job and took a lot of time to make sure everything was perfect. Thanks so much, guys! I'll update if something goes wrong but I'm sure it's gonna how Ok: update. Bringing my score down 1 star because it's been a week and the edges have grown to be quite jagged. If technique is done correctly, the nail should grow out seamlessly and not get stuck on things. They were snagging so I had to file them. Still pretty though! read more

This salon is ghetto with ratchet customers. Their customer service is below average hence why their prices are somewhat reasonable. They dont enforce their customers to wear masks either. Its kinda senseless if they (the nail techs) wear them but have some weirdo inconsiderate customer breathing all in their face with no mask like its worth the risk. I wont be coming back. Customer service is very poor here and dont even think ab upgrading a service at the end of your initial service. My acrylic gel set came out okay, but the tech made my nails really thick? Why? I dont recommend unless you're okay with below average service around loud ghetto unmasked customer's playing loud music from their phones; just ratchet. read more

So I came in here deciding to get my nails done before my hair appointment down the street... all was fine but when I got home, they failed to realize they used a GLOW IN THE DARK nail polish?! I called them and they tried to argue with me that they didn't do that (it was the same day) then the nail person interrupted the owner saying "Oh my mistake". It's fine to make mistakes once in a while but at least try to remedy it. read more

I went to this nail salon on New Years Eve 2020. I got a gel fill and gel polish change on my feet. I paid $51 plus tip. The 2 days later my nails started to peel. I went back, showed the manager when I walked in, he had me sit and wait for close to 25 minutes. One of the woman came and re painted my nails with a new color. I get ready to leave and the manager meets me at the front and charges me another $10. "he gave he a discount" and took 50% off." I explained to him I was there 72 hours ago and polish change was to be free, not to mention I waited for 20-30 min and never once did he say there would be a charge. I told him I refused to argue with him , but would NEVER come back. I wake up the next morning MY NAILS ARE PEELING AGAIN. I am furious!! read more

Noooo! Y'all.. my nails! Against my better judgement, I decided to give this nail salon a try because it was late and I was too tired to drive to my regular salon in Brookhaven. I arrived around 6PM and there was no wait, which is the ONLY reason they get two stars instead of one. I requested to have the SNS on my natural nails removed, a manicure and trim, and SNS reapplied. The service started out just fine, but as soon she started filing I knew something was off. She was literally sawing at my nails with the file. Not the typical corner to center, back & forth method, but imagine if you can, the nail file against the side of my nail and her filing up and down. It's hard that explain but it was so cringey! I honestly should've stopped her there. My nails are lumpy, each nail is a different shape, the texture isn't smooth, and the top coat is streaky. They are a lot shorter than I requested because she kept filing in attempt to correct the shape. To make matters worse, while my top coat was drying she started to scrape the table with this knife looking tool and dust flew everywhere and landed on my nails, so now my red nails have little white speckles on them. Moral of the story, when you find a good nail tech, don't stray! I have no clue where all these positive Yelp reviews are coming from, but this ain't it! read more

I still really like this salon, but I can only recommend Tim. After trying a someone new today, I probably won't be returning. I went back to ask to get them fixed, but there's not really much fixing they can do without messing up the entire nails. The lady I went to, I think is new and she didn't do a good job. Besides having a messy work area, my nails did not come out how I wanted them to and it's disappointing because I traveled 30 minutes to go here. read more

I went this week for a pedi and I really like it! Their prices are cheaper than most of the other nail salons around the area. They take a lot of time and care into each client which is really nice. I really am in love with this place I never was able to grow my own nails and then I use their dip powder and it made my nails grow and strong and thick and now the nails are mine and they maintain them and put gel polish and I look amazing I love it they all never overpay love their way they do things they're very professional it's a great place to go for men women kids it's just a great nail shop read more

I got my toes done and there was no pealing at all. They lasted a month. I usually take my grandma for gel manis and they peal on her often but my guess is that her nail beds are weak. She also gets regular polish pedis and they last her a good three to four weeks. read more

Where do I begin? I didn't like how the gel polish samples where on these HUGE key ring like things. Made me feel like I was looking through paint swatches at the Home Depot. The massage chairs were awful. The staff was somewhat pushy; they didn't really care what I wanted and it was more about what they thought worked best. The gel removal process was ridiculously slow. My nails started to lift up 3 days after my visit. I don't see myself going back to this location. They seem to be nice people though. read more

Excellent service!!! I came here on a Tuesday evening and had a great experience. The salon is clean and organized. They were not very busy and I waited about 4-5 minutes to be seen. I had a a fill-in ($16), trim (FREE!!!!!), as well as a fix ($3) done. I gave them a bonus star for not being pushy with the gel polish or with trying to force me to get the Pink & white fill-in. (I originally had the pink & white acrylic done, but it is just past the tips now so I got regular polish). read more

If I'm gonna lay $100 for my nails this polish needs to stay on a maximum of 2 weeks and they chipped three days later. It's clean inside and really nice. I also want to note that while the pedicure I received from another employee was excellent, this is not the first time I've experienced rudeness or unprofessional behavior from Kay. Elan is located inside of a quiet shopping plaza in Duluth. Although there's parking for everyone, you may have to walk down a sidewalk or two to get to your preferred biz, but you'll make it. My first impression was 5-stars because it's truly a beautiful salon! Bright with natural lighting and fabulously decorated, it definitely passed the visual vibe checks. I was welcomed in by two young ladies at the front counter who quickly set me up at a pedicure station. There are three parts to the salon and I was in the middle section and it was so quiet, even with other customers in the area. I hate that I didn't get my nail tech's name, but she was so great. I went with the 3rd tier pedicure which including a hot towel, scrub, etc. etc. No corners were cut, I was so relaxed! I opted for a pretty bubblegumish pink for my toes and she really made my feet look fabulous and renewed. After my pedicure package, gel removal and tip, I walked out paying under $100 and in this economy and with the level of service and class, I took that as a deal. Such a fantastic experience, I'm so glad that I chose Elan and will think of them when I'm back in the area!

She is thorough, meticulous with her work and just an overall beautiful and kind woman. The salon is very clean, bright and relaxing and the services are comparable to other salons in the area and the prices are affordable ($50 for the basic gel pedicure with add in options ie rose petals and coconut milk in the water etc if desired for an upgrade). My pedicure always lasts 4-6 weeks and in really busy times it will even last 8 weeks. I highly recommend this place!

I waited for about 10 min for Dung to finish up his customer. Dung was gentle with the removal and efficient. The removal process probably took 15 min total. I was in and out in 30 min. Overall, the service was good. The space is clean and smelled pleasant (not too much chemical odor). I would consider revisiting one day.
