I waited for about 10 min for Dung to finish up his customer. Dung was gentle with the removal and efficient. The removal process probably took 15 min total. I was in and out in 30 min. Overall, the service was good. The space is clean and smelled pleasant (not too much chemical odor). I would consider revisiting one day. read more

Oh man... this is sad to post ... I've been coming to D Nails salon for 6 years now. Last three visits: 1- I came with my daughter in August so she can get her full set while I get just a manicure ( no polish). While I was getting my manicure done the nail tech (I don't want to post her name) pressured me into getting polish so much so I agreed just so she would stop. I asked for a deep burgundy, she brings out pink, red, purple and brown ... everything but burgundy.. then she gets frustrated with ME! And says "ok no polish for you!! No more polish!" Wiped off every finger with different colors and flicks my hand off of the table and says " go".... I'm so confused. Somehow I was charged 25$. But ok cool...... 2- three weeks ago, I went for a mani and a pedi. They always try to push gel polish, I told them I am highly allergic and I can't even have anything touch me that has touched the gel polish... pedicure was ok, not the best but they are a hit or a miss when it comes to pedicures, so I wasn't expecting much there. The lady doing my manicure did an awful job with cleaning my cuticles and a messy job with a polish that she has to use a brush to clean it up... yep you guessed it ALLERGIC REACTION! On my drive back home my hands start itching, hives and my nail beds are 3x their size. This visit cost me a doctor's visit that came with a steroid shot, steroid creams and two weeks of a lot pain and discomfort. 3:Today I decided last minute to get a mani and pedi before attending a Christmas play... I realized I would t have time to do both so I got just a mani. I told the man upfront who I believe is the owner? That I'm HIGHLY allergic to gel polish, he kept asking if I wanted gel polish... I said no! I'm allergic I can't even have a brush that has been in contact with gel polish touch me... he nodded. Then I told the lady who was assigned to do my manicure (no allergic reaction this time). She asked if I wanted my nails to be cut down (there's no way to cut them since I had the allergic reaction I had to cut them all the way down so they would hurt less, I just needed them to be shaped. She gets the nail file and just touches the sides... my middle finger nail was a little chipped she didn't even try to fix it... so I pointed it out and asked if she could please shape it. She did only that finger... all my nails are different sized and shapes. I gave up. She began cutting my cuticles... she cut my thumb all across.. and my pointer finger. I kept bleeding every time she tried to wipe because she kept whipping me so rough and upwards opening the cut even more (now I'm in pain) she begins to laugh nervously and suddenly she wipes me and I'm on fire! She poured pure acetone on a cotton ball and places it on my cuts! No apologies..just a nervous laugh.. I should have walked out but I'm one of those that feels bad and awkward. Now my nails are not filed into a shape, she does an awful job with my cuticles (she gave up) on my other hand, I think she got nervous... and now it's polish time. She gets that square file buffer the pink one that files the first layer of your nail off ... I don't know why she did that... they never do that... it makes my nail thinner... so... here we go. Then she puts that clear polish ... my fingers are on fire still... then my polish... she didn't wait for the clear coat to dry ... I chose a red ‍ you can see the brush streaks all over so she keeps applying now it's thicker and thicker! (This is never going to dry)... then another coat of clear... got even thicker... she sits me at the drying table, since it's so thick the drying air made the polish wrinkle. I go to pay and let the guy upfront know it was a really bad job... suddenly three nail tech are asking to see my nails I let all of them know I don't have time that it's fine I'll take it off when I get home. They kept telling me to get it fixed I kept repeating myself (it was a lot)! And I was charged 20$ there wasn't a conversation on trying to make it right with a discount, on the house, come back tomorrow so we can fix it ... nothing. I get home, my cuticles are awful, then I see that my thumb and pointer finger has a darker color of red around my cuticles... she painted on top of the blood ... the polish is all uneven ... ugh. I look like I let a 5 year old do my nails for Christmas. What sucks it... I loved getting my nails done, so it's tough that I can't get a full set anymore ... and having these little nails because of the Algeria reaction sucks... I don't feel feminine you know? And now... I'm just embarrassed because it's bright red messy, botched, uneven and of course super short. Unfortunately, I'll never be back again. And that sucks because it's so hard to find a good nail salon!!!! Their quality has definitely gone down!! If you don't have someone that you have enjoyed their work... don't try them out, it's not worth it, they'll take your money... regardless. read more

I have been going to this salon for years each year it only gets worse in price and costumer service, the old ladies that work here are very rude and once they don't like you they look you down and on purpose do a very bad job on your nails! you can't tell them nothing or else they get very upset and argue back or on purpose cut you or hurt you while they file your nails!! I had originally asked for a different design nail tech was not able to do the design I told her it was okay and to just do a classic French tip I was cut multiple times tech told me my nails came out like that because of the length when the tech was the one that choose the length and told me it would look good I've been going to this nail salon for 2-3 years very disappointed. BEWARE. Went in for a standard pedicure, left with 2 toe infections. They are rough with their pedicures, and trust me, not in a good way. They shove the cuticle cutter blades under and through the side of the toenail. There was blood and a lot of pain. They agreed to a refund acknowledging that my toes were infected after I showed them photos. Instead of refunding me, they "voided" the transaction after my payment had already processed (does nothing) and have stopped responding to my messages. read more

Very good nail salon!! I usually get SNS done with Dan or Ethan (definitely recommend both of them as their work and quality is phenomenal). They are both quick and my SNS nails last me about 3 weeks, which is great in time for a touch up/ refresh. The salon itself is spacious enough to get manis and pedis. There was a pause during the pandemic, but I returned as soon as they slowly began to open. I moved to midtown Atlanta late 2020, and i still make the 30im drive every 3 weeks. Well, let me say I've been doing to this place for a little over a year now and I'm still extremely happy. I schedule my appointments faithfully every two weeks and the service does not lacked. My nail tech Tina is amazing and my pedicurist Maya is amazing too. The salon is clean, fresh, the flow of customers are smooth. This is the first nail salon I can fall asleep in because it's so peaceful. Prices: I think are very good and does not fluctuate crazy. I even love how Amy, the owner also hops in or helps when needed. There are very unrealistic wait times either. I can go on and on about how much I love MY nail salon but why believe me? I had a poor experience on my 1st visit to this nail salon where my partners pedicure didn't start until mine was finishing up, but I understood that they were busy on that particular day. I had the worst experience on my 2nd visit, last Wednesday. I brought my little brother along with my fiancé. We asked for 3 pedicures. My brother and I started our services first while my fiancé soaked and waited. They DID NOT KNOW we were also Vietnamese. The technicians proceeded to try to persuade my little brother to do a callus remover. And while he firmly declined, the lady still pushed and told him he should do it. When he said no once more, she then said "Chắc nó nghèo (He's probably poor)" in Vietnamese. And then the lady who did MY feet said, "dụ cái khác đi (you should try something else)" So my little brothers tech tried to get him to do a deluxe pedicure and again, he firmly said no. I got very irritated. So I spoke to my lady in Vietnamese in a very agitated tone and I told her to stop. And then they both looked at me with shock. And said "omg you're Vietnamese" and I ignored that statement. I pretended to play with my Instagram. And then my brother's lady says, "Chắc là Ba Má không dạy cho nên không biết tiếng Việt (his parents probably didn't teach him well enough so he doesn't know Vietnamese)" And while my lady was painting my toe nails, my fiancé was STILL waiting for his pedicure to start. So he just told them it's too late and a waste of his time. My fiancé told me to not start drama and just put up a Yelp review. And I have never been so upset at a nail salon. You do not talk about someone else's parents. On top of that, my gel toes didn't dry properly. So I'm currently missing half a big toe polish. I could go back to get it fixed. But I'd rather have a messed up toe nail for 3 weeks than to go back to this nail salon. Moved to the area about a year ago. Discovered this nail salon leaving Publix one day. I've been 3 times. Great experiences. Today, was my 4th time and my last time coming. I bought my mother in law who's in town to get our toes polished together. The guy who I had was respectful and did a decent job. He was quick but still efficient. The woman my mother in law had (black and white striped shirt with black pants and noticeable eye bags underneath her face mask) was not only rude and disrespectful, she displayed aggression. When I say this, she literally took her fist and slammed it down onto the foot stool because my mother in law was telling her how she wanted her toe nails cut. COMPLETELY UNCALLED FOR and it took everything inside of me NOT to go off on her. When is that ever okay?? She doesn't know us like that. She completely changed our energy and after she was done, I paid the $50 and did NOT leave a tip. I felt it wasn't worth saying anything to the older man who checked us out because he wouldn't have reprimanded her. Thought I'd try this place out for gel nail color. I don't get my cuticles cut at salons, so I just wanted a polish and the quick little hand and arm massage they give you when you get a manicure. For the first time in history, I was told that in order to get the hand/arm massage, I would have to get a full manicure. Shocking! You can't just charge me $5 for that quick little massage and do the service? Never mind. That turned me completely off and spoke to their disconnect with the customer. Heck, I wanted the massage almost more than I wanted the polish. I have to say that this place is really nice, with modern decor and a really clean space. It's really pretty inside. However, the prices are higher, so pretty costs. Right in the same shopping center, I can get the same service for less money and my hand/arm massage included (without getting a full manicure). I asked for a full set and only 4 nails needed tips. I received all tips on my nails when I already have long nails and even wanted them shorter. I like acrylic nails and I was given cream acrylic when I asked for normal (pinkish) acrylic. The Salon is D Nails 1625 Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth, GA. I had SNS dip nails. I had gone there several times and usually let whoever was available do my nails. Some were better than others. However the last 2 times I was there the person who did my nails was rough, which made it a painful experience for my. The tool used got to close to my skin and my fingers were twisted too far. I told the older gentlemen (who seems to run the place) as I was checking out that I had a bad experience. He looked at me and said nothing. He rudely checked me out and did not included the tip. His customer service was awful. I need my nails done right now. I would love to go to them because they are close to my home, but I would rather drive an hour away than to be treated like my patronage does not matter. This is the second shop of the owners of this salon so I knew they were experienced and must be good if they opened another shop; their other shop is in Alpharetta. The interior is beautiful, clean and bright. I visited while their grand opening special of 30% off was still going on. They had a huge selection of colors: Regular, gel and dipping powder (SNS). I usually get a gel manicure when I get my nails done but I decided to try SNS today (first time ever). I'm glad I did because Thanh did such a great job. This was my first time at this nail Salon. I have to say I am impressed from decor to friendly employees. You can check in on the iPad up front and put down name and number to be notified when they're ready to see while shopping around. For the service provided I would say the price was fair. My sns with coffin shape and tips cost $60 which is a bit more than I usually pay but I'm extremely happy with them. My tech made sure to ask me exactly how I liked them by demoing on my pinky nail and when I verified how I would like them she started over. I had my binkin waxed here. I was extremely nervous but my tech made sure I was comfortable even in the most uncomfortable situation. It did leave a light line but my skin is sensitive. Will definitely be back. read more
