DO NOT RENT FROM ANY PUBLIC STORAGE FACILITY!! Onsite Staff are great people BUT Corporate is what makes this place DECEITFUL and SHADY!! Corporate offices of Public Storage raised our rate 40% in 4 months and after asking around will raise it continuously thereafter every quarter! Nobody tells you when you sign up that they will raise your rate up 40% or more. So why would you think as much. They wait for you to move in get everything settled and Hit you with this increase expecting you to pay it! Here is the kicker! I went online and at the same facility for a bigger unit they offered it for less than what I was paying. This Shady practice shows you they are willing to let renters go just so they can get people to pay the increase. And if they don't and you move out they do it to the next person. I will be reporting to Better Business Bureau as well as telling everyone I know never to rent from this terrible company. I called corporate office and they basically said there is nothing they can do because it's based on demand. even though I told them I see open units at the facility. It took me 10 minutes to find a storage facility closer to my home with better access hours and 25% less than what I am paying. Already confirmed with new place that they only do rate adjustments every 9 months and the maximum they have done was 9% during a high time. This is acceptable. I made a mistake in signing up with PUBLIC STORAGE but I hope this review helps others in not making the same mistake. I truly hope that public storage corporate reads this and gets their act together. I guess for now I will use my only consumer power and move!! DON'T BE FOOLED by the advertised rate! I rented a storage unit here less than 2 years ago for $357/mo. Since then, the rate has been increased THREE times, for a total increase of 74.5% over the original amount. I am on an extended business trip and have all my household and personal goods in a large storage unit. It would cost me a considerable amount to move them to another, less costly facility, so I'm stuck. The district manager told me the increases are based on "market rate," but the same-sized unit is now advertised at only $415/mo, a rate I'd be happy to pay. Guess how long that rate will last for the next unsuspecting customer! read more

Most of the staff is nice enough, although one guy kept yelling at me when I was confused about an issue. Also, they suddenly decided to raise my rent after just six months (coincidently when I cancelled their insurance coverage because I have my own). When I talked to one of the employees about it she said she'd try to get it fixed, but three weeks later and I haven't heard a thing. I've never had that happen and I've used storage units many, many times over the past several decades. I have a unit in New Mexico that I've been renting for over two years and they never raised my rental fee. And I, too, had my unit broken into. The security is a joke. read more

The worsted storage facility on the face of the planet, there is homeless people and drug addicts living in the units. There is trash everywhere and the gate is constantly broken, the unit I rented had broken drywall leading into the other unit. They refused to fix it, I do not recommend this storage to anyone and honestly this place is hurting Public Storage as a company. Do not rent here? They have EXTREMELY SHADY and UNETHICAL business practices. Do not fall for their "move-in special" as they will change the price WITHOUT properly notifying you. My storage went up $75 per month at the 5th month and I told them I was going to move out, they said they would atleast discount the last month and atoll charged me $244. So their liars too. Warning: you do not want to rent here. If you are looking for a place to safely store your property this in NOT the place for you. Two days after moving my property into storage I received a call that my unit was broken into. Since I was in the process of traveling across country I did not immediately receive the message. There was no attempt to contact my emergency contact. The entire time my unit was left unsecured. When my representative arrived to the facility he was informed the repairs to the unit would not be made for a couple days. He requested another unit but was told he would have to rent it himself since I was not present to sign paperwork. The manager at the location along with the district manager were completely unhelpful and unwilling to help. The end result was that my representative had to rent a truck and remove my property. I paid in advance and as of yet have not received a refund. I will be suing. This place is not safe. read more

I left the state and was counting on my items being secured till i could reclaim them. they cut my lock and placed their lock on my unit after being late one month. this was fine however, in the time that they had their lock on my unit they entered my unit and took all that had value. When I finally vacated they gave me a hard time when trying to vacate. I am very upset with them and will never talk anything good about them to anyone. I have rented here twice and the service has always been awesome... They day I came to unload in storage it was wet and raining... I didn't see that coming, but they were so accommodating. The only suggestions I have is to get a Gold Cart, so when you show new prospects a unit, they don't have to walk too far. We rented a storage unit here today. Marlin was so helpful and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She explained everything in detail and was very knowledgeable. The customer service was great until I found out that I would get a cheaper rate if I reserved a unit online first. Here's the short version...I was searching online while the rep. Luis was making my reservation and realized I could get the unit for $40 cheaper online so I asked if I could cancel what he was doing and reserve it online right in front of him so I could get the discount or if he could give me the online rate. He told me If he did that, I would lose the money that I just paid for the first month. Not sure if he gets paid commission or what but that was BAD customer service. I'm sure he could have done something to help me out but all he did was try to make me pay way more then I should. Come to find out there are homeless people around the facility hanging out all day and a rat problem amongst the premises. The only good thing you have going is your onsite manager Nichelle. She actually cares, but you guys restrict what she's allowed to do and it makes her look like the bad guy. You changed your hours to where very few people can make it. Rude staff, items stolen on moving day, dirty. The females working at this location are not interested in providing customer service and never smile. After Checking out the restroom key at the office and upon entering the restroom I was startled by one of the ladies yelling at me " what are you doing how did you get in there" As I swung around showing her the keys I was given by her office, she didn't even offer an apology for raising her voice at me, just the usual dirty look. When you read the other reviews of this storage facility and see "Rodent problem" or "homeless / people hanging out around the facility" they are 100% true. This place is a dump. The employee's I came in contact with are nice but probably unaware or just dealing with the place for a pay check. The manager I feel is completely aware of the issues here but like I said people get pinned financially and cannot speak up against their employers. In my opinion - stay away from renting here. I had multiple items damaged from rodents which luckily were not expensive or sentimental and the rates are high for what you get. All in all my rating is a sub 1 out of 10 not a 1 out of 5. read more
