There were three sets of couches that were our main worry simply because of how annoying they were to carry them into the building in the first place. It was a sense of deja vu after having to load it back onto the truck too, but thankfully the movers knew some techniques to make the lift easier and they even had some tools which helped out. Really happy we sought out professional help it would have been pretty hard doing it all by ourselves.

But the size of the job shouldn't have been a surprise...we'd done a Facetime tour of our house ahead of time with the company, catalogued every item needing moving, and emphasized that our house a big move relative to the square footage we were moving out of. We had received a detailed estimate before anyone came out. Our rental property manager had asked us to have everyone sign a form saying they had no COVID symptoms as per CA law. We followed her instructions and asked the movers to sign. They called their manager and then told me they didn't actually work for this company (?) and were some kind of subcontractors so they could not sign. The main reason that I am giving a two star review is the lead mover. I don't remember his name, but he was from Syria and had a brown mustache and beard. He complained throughout the move about how much stuff we had. At the end he had left some bedroom stuff in the kitchen and when I requested him to take it to the bedroom told me "you can't do it yourself?" He was intimidating and unpleasant and I really just wanted him out of my house. By the way, these guys are paid by the hour, so it's not like anything he did was for free. Another mover, though nice enough, went on the whole day about how COVID was a hoax and he had just watched "Plandemic." None of them were wearing masks, washing their hands or anything else. Stuff got moved, on time. But it was all pretty uncomfortable.

Other places charged anywhere from $70 to $125... some even had a minimum of 4 hours. I also liked that I received both a phone call and email for confirmation of the moving appointment. The 2 movers who came were very nice and took good care of my furniture. They complied with all my requests, like carrying boxes to specific locations inside my condo. The only negative part of my experience with Beeline Movers: I made the appointment for 9 AM, but they arrived at 9:50 AM. They did give me a heads up that morning that they would arrive between 9 and 10, but the night before I got a call to confirm my appointment for 9 AM.

Used Northstar moving, and it took three guys a total of 7 hours to move a one bedroom apt less than a mile. This time I was moving, I went to Yelp to hopefully find something better. I had booked the Redondo beach moving company but was really frustrated when I was told they could not "guarantee" that they could move my fridge.. what? Are you a moving company? (I have a normal double door fridge, nothing fancy) When you're going through a move, you want it to be easy, and not be worried about someone not "guaranteeing" something... Anyway, cancelled that reservation and called Beeline right away. They were available the date and time I needed, and, THEY TOLD ME THEY COULD MOVE MY FRIDGE! Yesssssss! A moving company that can move large items! What a relief! The company called me about a half hour before they arrived (literally to the minute). They were on time, really nice, and got my move done in 1.5 hours. I gladly paid for three hours (which is their minimum) because I was so relieved it went so fast! It took two movers to do the job. I HIGHLY recommend Roadway Moving! The experience with Roadway started off great! They were attentive, and the personal care for our move was so nice. We loved our movers and they took amazing care of our belongings! UNTIL... the moving truck hit the gate at my boyfriends apartment building. At first they were great about it. Someone reached out and took all the information, reached out to the management company of the building etc. The management company sent a quote to Roadway for the damage, and we thought everything was in the works, and all would be taken care of. Well, its been over a month since our move, and after MANY emails, texts and phone calls we have not heard a PEEP from Roadway. This is unbelievably unprofessional, frustrating, and SO disappointing after the move itself was such a great experience. I am writing this review to hopefully get the attention of someone at Roadway, and get this taken care of immediately. Understandably the building wants to get this fixed, and supposedly someone from Roadway is suppose to come and asses the damage...but we have never heard from anyone. They are holding my boyfriends security deposit, and now I am afraid that if they get it fixed without roadways physical assessment of the damage, that roadway won't cover the damages at all and we will get stuck paying for it.
