DO NOT RENT FROM ANY PUBLIC STORAGE FACILITY!! Onsite Staff are great people BUT Corporate is what makes this place DECEITFUL and SHADY!! Corporate offices of Public Storage raised our rate 40% in 4 months and after asking around will raise it continuously thereafter every quarter! Nobody tells you when you sign up that they will raise your rate up 40% or more. So why would you think as much. They wait for you to move in get everything settled and Hit you with this increase expecting you to pay it! Here is the kicker! I went online and at the same facility for a bigger unit they offered it for less than what I was paying. This Shady practice shows you they are willing to let renters go just so they can get people to pay the increase. And if they don't and you move out they do it to the next person. I will be reporting to Better Business Bureau as well as telling everyone I know never to rent from this terrible company. I called corporate office and they basically said there is nothing they can do because it's based on demand. even though I told them I see open units at the facility. It took me 10 minutes to find a storage facility closer to my home with better access hours and 25% less than what I am paying. Already confirmed with new place that they only do rate adjustments every 9 months and the maximum they have done was 9% during a high time. This is acceptable. I made a mistake in signing up with PUBLIC STORAGE but I hope this review helps others in not making the same mistake. I truly hope that public storage corporate reads this and gets their act together. I guess for now I will use my only consumer power and move!! Very sneaky! Avoid at all costs! I rented a 10x10 unit and confirmed. Once I arrived with all my items, we viewed the unit which was actually a triangle shaped unit! When I noted that, the front desk was very rude! However, because I was already there and had a tight schedule, paid, etc I was forced to use the unit! About three months later they increased my rent! Then did it again! My unit is now double the cost of what it was when I moved in, which was not cheap! They run a sneaky business + Poor customer service! read more

I have two units here. One is my moms. She uses this for storage while remodeling her house. l have one with garage access so that i can move from my old place while I'm taking care of my mom. John the onsite manager is very helpful. I can't even count how many times this guy has helped us. Either fixing the lights that were broken or helping us with a lock that we never got a key from the previous manager. Also he keeps the grounds spotless. The walls are clean and interiors are clear of debris. 10 Stars really. read more

Users of storage be advised that your rental price will go up and up and up to a point that it will be shocking! There is nothing in an agreement that cements a price for a span of time. You can't plan for the shock of the unannounced raises in rental price. Inspect your door carefully. I have two units here and cannot wait to move out! The units do not have lighting inside, even the indoor 10x10 has zero lighting. How am I supposed to find anything? The outdoor 10x20 unit has another price increase, this time a whopping 35.8% increase; from $418 to $568/mo! They lure you in, then jack up the price. I can understand cost of living increases, but $150/mo increase is robbery! They are betting people will not go through the hassle and expense of moving out. DO NOT RENT HERE. I just recently cancelled my unit of a few years.. within this lovely time I've had my storage broken into twice, ( did I get my things back that were stolen? NO) and having them not fix my unit for months on end. The employees are impossible to get in contact with.. it seems as if nobody likes to be in the office or ever answer calls.. In fact if you ever need to get in contact with someone use social media.. they tend to respond a lot faster to tweets then actual phone calls. There are homeless men that come in and stay and refuse to leave.. they scream at you .. PLEASANT. Every single time I have been to visit my unit there has been cops. They do not use cameras. They also JACK up your rent. SAVE YOUR MONEY, AND DO NOT RENT HERE. read more

My initial experience was quick and easy, a few extra things I had to pay for than were originally explained, but I took it with a grain of salt. We all forget something, sometimes. I called a month later to ask about a larger space and the man answering was not only uninformed but incredibly Uninviting or helpful. He quoted me prices for unavailable units, and unable to point me in the right direction of my storage needs. Made another call to a different storage facility and they spend 30 minutes genuinely trying and successfully helping me. The difference in customer service was not only in the information provided, but the manner in which it was given. Being made to feel bad about my lack of storage space knowledge is not what someone in a stressful situation needs. The front office is frequently locked up during business hours, making it very inconvenient to ask questions or get help regarding your unit. Security is a joke--the keypad at the entrance gate is ancient and often won't accept your code.. right now it's completely broken and has a piece of paper on it instructing you to use the exit gate...which is wide open and unattended. Front office person is one of the least customer-service oriented persons I've ever seen...when I requested to have the gate opened at 5:57 pm, she told me they were closed and when I pointed out there were still three minutes before they were closed, she replied, "I might get in trouble" Unit walls are plywood or drywall...if you wanted to cut a hole into an adjacent unit or into an end unit from the hallway, it would be simple to do. Unfortunately I should have read the reviews for this place. We only went here because it was suggested to us. Someone tried to break into our unit over Thanksgiving. They drilled a hole in our door, almost took off the lock, and the door was ajar. We went and took everything out and moved our items to a house (for now). At first they wouldn't give us a (partial) refund because we already paid them. We were there for less than two weeks and had prepaid for a month in advance. We only received our advance payment back. We should have gotten a full refund for everything. Not only that there was a man screaming threats and obscenities in a different building. It wasn't towards us but it was at someone else. We told the man at the front and he said he was going to call the cops. And that it was the SECOND complaint. To top it off. Yesterday, one of the ladies told us "yeah, it's been happening that people have been trying to steal. One of the doors doesn't lock on the side of the building even though it's supposed to have a code to get in. Our manager won't do anything about it and won't invest into security cameras or consider hiring security officers/guards." I personally want our FULL REFUND and I am going write to the actual company to get our full refund. . read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I never leave bad reviews, but this place is terrible. The managers are never there, nor do they answer the phone. Sometimes the gate doesn't work, and the on-site manager at night saw me struggling to get in, and just told me to call the 800 number. How would that help? Just go inside and press the button, it's not my fault your gate doesn't work. I finally got all my stuff out today but nobody is on site to cancel my payments or will answer the phone. Warning!!!! Do not store your belonging here. My unit was broken into and their cameras are so low quality they can't make out people or license plates!! I filed a police report but thanks to these people the suspect might get away. They have the date and time my gate code was used and the cameras can't even see anything useful!! Not only that, 3 days later another storage unit was broken into a few units down from mine. The manager here even casually remarked "oh yeah we've been having a lot of break ins" like it's business as usual. Wtf!!??!? Im praying so hard I'm able to sue you for this. If you research Huntington Beach crime reports, this property alone accounts for a huge percentage of burglaries in this portion of the city. That fact can be verified by contacting the police department in the city. For this reason alone you should avoid the property. They have had strings of robberies over span of several months with many groups of victims. Apparently the property has done little or nothing in response. They simply collect rents and leave the customers to fend for themselves. They charge expensive price for a custom lock to fit their doors yet these locks are useless because the latches are easily bent by someone applying force to the doors. When my unit was robbed on the night of July 4th, I was notified the following morning by a vague message indicating my door had been found open. They even went so far as to suggest that I may have left my door open. What they did not mention was that there was visible damage to the door latch, a sign of forced entry. What they also failed to mention was that there were nearly 20 units affected. What they also failed to mention was that this very thing had happened multiple times in the recent past. They also failed to mention that employees at the property were aware that there were people residing on the premises at night. They had made no attempts to set guards at any of the compromised units. There were no police called to the crime scene. Individual tenants were left to call the police. There was no assistance provided in filing insurance claims, and insurance policies were largely useless unless proof could be made of ownership of each and every item. The insurance you are forced to pay for is virtually useless. Vehicle Lock In: Signage at the property is not clear. The mean guy who lives on property claims he knows nothing about the business. He is clearly lying because when I asked him for help in removing my vehicle from the property, he said there were signs on the property that made it clear that customers had to be out by 5 p.m. So he claims to know about sign, yet he fails to realize that these signs are either not posted, are vague, or have contradictory information. For example the gate sign simply states "Office Hours Only 9:30 am - 5:00 p.m.", yet it also states "Please Exit by 9:00 p.m.". When I mentioned the missing or vague signs, he said, "check your email." read more

We have been renting a storage from this facility. We have never had any issues until now! REALLY PEOPLE, STAY AWAY!!! Management doesn't care about you or your belongings. They don't give a damn if people break into your storage unit. I reported a break in and An employee told me she would have to call maintenance to install a new lock. She couldn't tell me what time they would be arriving and that my unit was going to be left unlock because it was a liability to leave my lock with the broken latch. She did suggest I could wait outside the unit for maintenance to come and install it. What an INCONVENIENCE!!! By the way, they never came that same day to install the lock. The people who broke in stole expensive tool boxes/ mechanic tools/ control cars/ tv/ generator/ shall I go on? I took my belongings and moved to a better unit that same day! read more

We rented a space for all our Halloween and Christmas decorations. Yes we are one of those crazy people. Ambrosia was super helpful and super sweet with his bubbly personality. The only reason we're not renting anymore is because we became official empty nesters and are able to store everything in the bedroom. We recommend PS and will use them again if any of ours kids make their way back home. read more

I came here with a friend and it was raining. The place was VERY hidden. You have to go through some driveways in order to find the place. We accidentally missed the gate and decide to do a turn from the handicap parking and back up. Once he did, we heard a huge crash in his car! I thought it was like a "do not back up" spikes on the floor. However, when we looked at the car it was a little piece of metal that was broken from the handicap sign and was Never fixed! They also didn't have a sign or any warning not to park in the handicap! I'm giving 1 star because the office should have done something to PREVENT others not to park there and not break their entire bottom of the car! Luckily, we had help from a man who was there at night and was able to lift the car out of the broken metal. It was stuck there and was raining hard too! He also told us the pole had been broken for quite some time and they never bothered to fix it. That is NOT acceptable!! After my friend informed to his car insurance of the incident, they finally put an orange cone to cover the metal pole. Then a couple of weeks later, the pole was fixed. See attached picture of the Now FIXED pole that was once broken and ruined my friends car. *be careful coming here on a raining day!!* Be ready to wait a long time for someone who's working here to open the door! I came in at 11:45 and it said "manager will be back by 12:10pm. I had to leave so I decided I'll come back after 12:10pm. So far so good, just got a space yesterday and it was super easy. I did it all online and it was a breeze. We got an indoor space first floor. Very clean inside and nicely lit up. Easy access and they also supply with a lock if needed. But it's not free, has to be purchased. Worked for me because I needed one then and there. Over all it's seems pretty nice, area is nice. Still new to this storage place, so we shall see how it goes. read more

I read a lot of the reviews and was concerned when we started the process but we needed a unit close to us. We started the process online to secure the price and made sure to go see the unit; it was perfect for what we needed and for the special price. I received a follow up call to schedule a walk through on a set date and time. We met Tina and she was incredibly attentive and nice. She walked with us to see the unit and she even showed us other units to make sure we were satisfied with the one we chose. While finishing out the application she noticed I was having a bit of trouble walking and was kind enough to let me sit as I finished the application. She also walked out and ensured our code worked as well as the phone app. To be honest Tina really sealed the deal for us. read more

Very disappointed with this location. Their priority is collecting money , not customer service. Not the most secure place. Seen lines of cars go through gate after one person opens to get in. And almost always a "will return" sign at office. I also inquired as to why their rent increases are so unreasonably high. I was told because property values are going up. They need to keep pace. Why? Did your mortgage payments go up??? Or did you refi down. Lol, I think we know the answer to that question! But no law against being greedy. Don't rent here!!! I had two storage units. Before the first of august I emptied one into another after working all night as a hospice RN and exhausted. I left a note at the door of the office because the office on Sunday August 1st at 2:45 pm was closed. Though the hours posted are till 5pm. The office girl has been watching us move things from one storage to the other. She walked by said hi I told her we are moving out of that storage .... so I get a call Monday saying I owe 350 for one storage plus 355 for another storage . I explain to her that the storage was empty, swept out , lock off and rentable as of August 1. She stated no I owe her for august too on both units. Which I'm still disputing. Secondly there are " tweekers " waiting for the gate to open. They come in on bicycles with bags of whatever tied to their hand bars and ride towards the back of the storage unit where I see several of them congregating. Let's just say are they drug dealing? Are the living in a unit? Truthfully I would not want to have my belongings in a storage unit with homeless/meth heads inside the gate. This has been brought up to management and nothing has changed. I do plan on changing to a new storage facility and I feel management changes dates, rules whatever they can to get away with gouging people for monetary gain. This is a upstanding storage facility. Impossible to work with access hours, im not sure who thinks closing the gate at the end of the 9-6 work day is workable for anyone. And 5 on the weekends. I literally have to use PTO hours for work to get to my belongings. 2 stars because I'm sure its fine for some people but ill be moving my belongings to another company ASAP read more

The area is accessible, the place is clean, the storage units are super clean and roomy and it's well lit. worst experience ever dealing with a storage company. Not only was my unit broken into property stolen or damaged but then they limited the hours that you can access your unit. it was from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. when I first rented the unit. after the break-in the hours were limited to 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. clearly this was not what I had originally agreed to. when I requested a credit for the month as a good will gesture for dealing with the break-in and the limited access hours I was told yes, they would credit me for the month. two weeks later I received another phone call telling me that my rent was late. when I explained to her the situation the manager told me that they would not be providing any credit for rent and then my rent is now past due and I no longer have access to my unit. the only reason why I was going to stay with this company it was because they were going to provide a free month for the hassle oh that's a free month I would not have remained a customer. at this point they have my stuff locked away preventing me from removing it. and they're trying to threaten a lien sale of my property if I don't pay them $600+. reaching a district manager to even discuss the situation took me almost a month because they don't answer their phones and they don't return phone calls. the onsite manager was unwilling to even discuss the situation all she would do is tell me that I don't have access to my property right now until I pay the money. I will not pay money to an organization like this. a corporation that tries to run out the clock By ignoring the complaints and trying to run out the clock for a lien sale of my property. read more
