Edited to respond to the owners reply: I did indeed call to cancel our spot and reported the attempted theft and I was hung up on! So I did not bother to call back! And furthermore, I was only there one time at drop off .. if surveillance shows a female person by our boat it was not me! Someone tried stealing our boat and caused about $3500 in damage by messing up the battery and the break motor!!! read more

The attached payment receipt from December 21, 2024, shows my previous rate, which is clearly different from the one stated in the notice. I've used them a few times in HB and they have always been gracious to me as well as daughter ! Shout out to their help and consideration while moving in & out ! They might be a tad more than others. I've kept my boat there for over three years now they raised my rent towards the end of the year, and they just raised it again the first of the year. And they wonder why their outdoor lots are clearing out. The outdoor lot where I keep my boat use to be full now there are probably six miscellaneous vehicles out there now. I didn't get a raise at work I'm not making any more money. Why should you raise your rent so frequently? read more

Elevators break on a regular basis and Management does not want to accommodate customers. If your storage is close to one of the roll up doors they make you walk all the way across the facility to the other elevator and keep the stairwells lock so you have to walk all the way across the entire facility. Meanwhile they charge a premium to be close to the elevator. No discount for the elevator being broken for almost an entire week. When I asked the office for the second time about fixing the elevator the counter lady was very rude! I am sure that you get asked the same questions all fay but rudeness is never the answer! read more

I've been a renter at Seacliff for several years and always have prepaid yearly. I went to renew for this year, and they increased my rate almost $100 for my parking space, even though my current rate is advertised online. They wouldn't honor it and said that's for new clients only. And no place did it say that and even if it did, that's just wrong. I left very angry and took my vehicle elsewhere. Do not use this storage facility! Worst customer service ever and so rude. My husband dealt with the manager Maria and she was the worst. We have been at this storage facility for about 2 years now. My husband called 2 weeks prior to our lease expiring and spoke to a receptionist asking to speak to the manager Maria. Maria never called us back. My husband called 3 times before finally getting ahold of her. My husband politely asked Maria if they would price match the rent with another storage company near by prior to our lease expiring. Maria had such an attitude when he asked. She rudely said no and hung up. It would have been nice to know they wouldn't price match PRIOR to our lease expiring so we could make other arrangements, but because Maria never bothered to call us back we were unable to do so. We will never use this storage facility again. read more

Horrible treatment! We stored all of our belongings for one and a half years at $195.00 per month. When we went back to take it out we found that my wife's 100 year old Turkish rug from Istanbul (which she acquired in Turkey) was destroyed by moth larva and our wooden furniture had mold everywhere. I noticed at the upper back part of the storage unit that there was sunlight coming through which tells me that rain had gotten in or moisture had gotten in somehow along with moths. They took pictures and we filled out a report but never got a copy of the report with their signature on it! That was in early December 2019. I have called The district manager Christine several times always leaving messages only getting a non- helpful "You need to talk to ..." pass off. I asked her for a copy of the report and she said we couldn't have one because it had internal notes now. I would never recommend anybody put their belongings in this companies units. I am still waiting for the copy of the company signed complaint form. I made calls on their corporate office phone and tried going through every extension leaving messages several times to no avail. It is because of their positive and welcoming attitudes that I would recommend this storage facility. We have tried everything to get Seacliff to follow up on the claim we had to make because upon returning to the facility to move our things out we found worms had eaten through my Turkish rug $$$, and furniture. As well as mold was all over our furniture. We filled out the paperwork to file a claim and after almost 3 months they have done nothing by blow us off. We have made multiple attempts at calling them always being told someone would call us back. This is the last attempt I will make. Don't use this company! A long time customer since 2008, they lost my key and I had to call a locksmith which cost $120 which they refused to reimburse. They took no responsibility for the loss. Back in the day they used to accept packages and place them in the unit - hence the key. Possession of the key was included in my original contract. Glad I'm out of there! I was never informed of the key being lost. If that was true and since that was a change to my original contract I would have been asked to sign a new agreement which didn't happen. I have had storage units at Seacliff Storage in Huntington Beach for over thirty years. Recently I vacated the last unit on April 3rd. Billing occurs on the first of the month. When I was moving my things out on the 2nd I was told that my monthly payment for April would be rebated to my credit card. I completed moving out on the 3rd and was told that none of my April payment would be returned. When I objected the clerk at the desk said she would ask "corporate" about it and they would get back to me. It is now the 12th of April and I have heard nothing from anyone. During the thirty or so years that I've had storage units there Seacliff has increased the monthly storage fees several times. I loyally stayed with Seacliff. I think that when a long-time customer vacates their storage unit this early in the month the fees for the remaining days of the month should be returned. If I ever need public storage again I certainly won't use Seacliff. I encourage others to find another public storage company also. Loyalty should go both ways! Richard Bonneau read more

Have used Seacliff Storage on and off for years but 3 days ago I signed up , got stuff from my car , went to second floor in back and heavy fumes were now there which I'm sure were Meth. I came down told new manager who would not give straight answer, acted like she didn't know what meth was. Man there got belligerent said impossible. Neither would go up and check. Manager said I would lose my $30 so hurry and decide if I wanted unit. I said "no" but worse was fact I had to go back and get stuff. I haven't been able to take a deep breath since then and have interrmitent pains in my chest. Run, don't walk away. read more

I have had my things in storage here since 2017. I started with two huge storage spaces and have worked to reduce to one small space. They have been easy to work with and the space is clean and secure. I would recommend them if you have storage needs. read more

I moved from another facility in Huntington Beach after 7 years of horrible experiences down at Extra Space. (For comparison - read that review) THIS facility is actually secure. Metal walls, not plywood, very good locks, alarms, concrete flooring, not plywood. And it's CLEAN!!! There are numerous carts and you have to check them out - and that is great because some people tend to hoard these if not watched. There is a loading dock - how awesome! Lots of closed circuit cameras. The staff was friendly, and the experience was great. You get the use of a "free" moving van - (actually 25.00 fee) which is GREAT. The place is a maze, and I thought I would grow old and die before I found my way out - but it is a very VERY nice facility. I feel it is very secure - the police train here. It was a waste of a day to have to move from a horrible place to a good one, but these things must be done. I feel much better now. And $2000,00. insurance was included. read more

The normal rates are kinda expensive for this place though the first 6 months I got a discounted rate. Stored my car for 1 year. No issues after I picked up my car. I wanted to clarification on this post. What I meant to say is that the bathrooms have been close for over a year and a half. They excuse being they don't want people congregating in the bathrooms. How stupid. Has nothing to do with Covid. The water fountain broke over three years ago and has never been replaced. The dock area and loading area seems to always have trash and rat feces on the small ramp. The hallways where the storage units are at constantly has trash in them. They continue to raise the prices and offer no benefits at all for those who have been here for a long time. I don't expect special treatment but I do expect respect and courtesy from Morari the manager. ANGELA and Dylan are both very good workers and very polite but they can't do anything because the management has them tied in a knot. I have been here since 2007. I understand increase in rental payment however, at this time during the Covid pandemic to see an increase in rental fees when income is tight for everyone anyway. Seacliff used to run a very tight and professional organization. Now it seems like all that the main interest is in making money. And it seems that the management is not listening and any complaints or suggestions are falling on deaf ears. I wish I could say something good because I have been here for such a long time, but at this point all I see is give me give me give me. I've been a long term tenant (4+ Years) and can't say enough good things about this Storage Facility. The place is always so neat and clean, reminds me more of a hotel than a storage! Most units are Indoor which is great (more safety and cleaner) and the entire place is just conviniently equipped with push carts and 2 elevators. If you're planning to rent longterm I suggest to go to the third floor as the units up there are cheaper. The place always looks Brand New unlike the nearby Self Storages which remind me more of these military camps downrange, runned down and dirty. The employees are angels, always super helpful and very patient! A special shout out to the kind woman, I believe Mery is her name, who always helped me with everything during these past few years I've been renting there.
