Regarding Seacliff Self Storage in Huntington Beach, CA: I would like to recognize Bart, the manager. I recently had an issue with my storage unit billing payment: my bank was sending the payment to a third party, so it was not being received by Seacliff. After I tried to resolve the issue with my bank, Bart was able to get it corrected. This was a great relief to me. Bart has always provided excellent service, and I very much appreciate his professionalism. The storage facility is well run, clean, and folks there are easy to do business with. (Note that I have been a customer at this facility since 2007.) Many thanks to Bart for being friendly, professional, and keeping me informed throughout the process. Best regards, James H read more

I've had a great experience with Seacliff Self Storage. The indoor, climate-protected storage units were exactly what I was looking for, and the facility is always clean, secure, and well-maintained. I feel confident that my belongings are safe, and it's nice knowing everything is stored inside rather than exposed to the elements. Bart H the property manager has been friendly, professional, and helpful every time I've needed assistance. The move-in process was easy, access to my unit has been convenient, and the entire property is well organized. I highly recommend Seacliff Self Storage to anyone looking for a clean, secure, indoor storage facility with excellent customer service. read more

Edited to respond to the owners reply: I did indeed call to cancel our spot and reported the attempted theft and I was hung up on! So I did not bother to call back! The notice I received on July 29, 2025, clearly states my new rate would be $458.00 per month, plus a $12.00 protection plan premium, for a new total of $470.00. Furthermore, I have not received any communication from your staff as you claim. My records show a formal notice of a rate increase, not a system "glitch." The attached payment receipt from December 21, 2024, shows my previous rate, which is clearly different from the one stated in the notice. I expect a prompt and accurate resolution to this matter, as well as a clear explanation for the contradictory information I have received. read more

I've kept my boat there for over three years now they raised my rent towards the end of the year, and they just raised it again the first of the year. And they wonder why their outdoor lots are clearing out. The outdoor lot where I keep my boat use to be full now there are probably six miscellaneous vehicles out there now. I didn't get a raise at work I'm not making any more money. Why should you raise your rent so frequently? read more

Elevators break on a regular basis and Management does not want to accommodate customers. If your storage is close to one of the roll up doors they make you walk all the way across the facility to the other elevator and keep the stairwells lock so you have to walk all the way across the entire facility. Meanwhile they charge a premium to be close to the elevator. No discount for the elevator being broken for almost an entire week. When I asked the office for the second time about fixing the elevator the counter lady was very rude! I am sure that you get asked the same questions all fay but rudeness is never the answer! read more

I've been a renter at Seacliff for several years and always have prepaid yearly. I went to renew for this year, and they increased my rate almost $100 for my parking space, even though my current rate is advertised online. They wouldn't honor it and said that's for new clients only. And no place did it say that and even if it did, that's just wrong. I left very angry and took my vehicle elsewhere. It's obvious management does not care about keeping their clients haply, or keeping them at all. read more

Seacliff Self Storage is the best!! I have been a long time renter at Seacliff and Angie T. is the best manager I have worked with there. Very professional and understanding. She does an excellent job with managing the facility. Mariana is excellent at customer service and is very professional and helpful. Gilbert is also very friendly and helpful. Angie, Mariana and Gilbert are a great team!! I highly recommend Seacliff Storage!!! Thank you so much to Angie, Mariana and Gilbert!! read more

Do not use this storage facility! Worst customer service ever and so rude. My husband dealt with the manager Maria and she was the worst. We have been at this storage facility for about 2 years now. My husband called 2 weeks prior to our lease expiring and spoke to a receptionist asking to speak to the manager Maria. Maria never called us back. My husband called 3 times before finally getting ahold of her. My husband politely asked Maria if they would price match the rent with another storage company near by prior to our lease expiring. Maria had such an attitude when he asked. She rudely said no and hung up. It would have been nice to know they wouldn't price match PRIOR to our lease expiring so we could make other arrangements, but because Maria never bothered to call us back we were unable to do so. We will never use this storage facility again. read more

Horrible treatment! We stored all of our belongings for one and a half years at $195.00 per month. When we went back to take it out we found that my wife's 100 year old Turkish rug from Istanbul (which she acquired in Turkey) was destroyed by moth larva and our wooden furniture had mold everywhere. I noticed at the upper back part of the storage unit that there was sunlight coming through which tells me that rain had gotten in or moisture had gotten in somehow along with moths. They took pictures and we filled out a report but never got a copy of the report with their signature on it! That was in early December 2019. I have called The district manager Christine several times always leaving messages only getting a non- helpful "You need to talk to ..." pass off. I asked her for a copy of the report and she said we couldn't have one because it had internal notes now. I would never recommend anybody put their belongings in this companies units. I am still waiting for the copy of the company signed complaint form. I made calls on their corporate office phone and tried going through every extension leaving messages several times to no avail. Can anyone recommend an attorney? read more

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PRECIOUS BELONGS HERE!!! We have tried everything to get Seacliff to follow up on the claim we had to make because upon returning to the facility to move our things out we found worms had eaten through my Turkish rug $$$, and furniture. As well as mold was all over our furniture. We filled out the paperwork to file a claim and after almost 3 months they have done nothing by blow us off. We have made multiple attempts at calling them always being told someone would call us back. This is the last attempt I will make. The next contact will be from an attorney and with a claim to cover their cost as well. $$$$$$$ SEACLIFF Unit 3325 - Bill Martin, Check your records! read more

Shout out to Angie and Mariana who supplied the best customer service. It's unfortunate that I only met them when moving out and wasn't able to meet them when moving in. It is because of their positive and welcoming attitudes that I would recommend this storage facility. Seacliff Self Storage has been the answer to my RV storage dreams. I am very satisfied with the ability to acquire a space to park my motorhome, leave a placeholder vehicle while traveling, accessing the gated enclosure during reasonable hours, and communicating with staff regarding particulars like booking, billing, ending and restoring lease, etc. Dylan is professional and friendly and helpful as are the other staff members. I look forward to recommending them and working with Seacliff Self Storage in the future. read more

Don't use this company! A long time customer since 2008, they lost my key and I had to call a locksmith which cost $120 which they refused to reimburse. They took no responsibility for the loss. Back in the day they used to accept packages and place them in the unit - hence the key. Possession of the key was included in my original contract. Glad I'm out of there! I was never informed of the key being lost. If that was true and since that was a change to my original contract I would have been asked to sign a new agreement which didn't happen. I have had storage units at Seacliff Storage in Huntington Beach for over thirty years. Recently I vacated the last unit on April 3rd. Billing occurs on the first of the month. When I was moving my things out on the 2nd I was told that my monthly payment for April would be rebated to my credit card. I completed moving out on the 3rd and was told that none of my April payment would be returned. When I objected the clerk at the desk said she would ask "corporate" about it and they would get back to me. It is now the 12th of April and I have heard nothing from anyone. During the thirty or so years that I've had storage units there Seacliff has increased the monthly storage fees several times. I loyally stayed with Seacliff. I think that when a long-time customer vacates their storage unit this early in the month the fees for the remaining days of the month should be returned. If I ever need public storage again I certainly won't use Seacliff. I encourage others to find another public storage company also. Loyalty should go both ways! Richard Bonneau read more

The staff is great. Customer service excellent. Michelle and Merrari are so helpful and both are definitely management material. They made a tough time in my life much easier. Have used Seacliff Storage on and off for years but 3 days ago I signed up , got stuff from my car , went to second floor in back and heavy fumes were now there which I'm sure were Meth. I came down told new manager who would not give straight answer, acted like she didn't know what meth was. Man there got belligerent said impossible. Neither would go up and check. Manager said I would lose my $30 so hurry and decide if I wanted unit. I said "no" but worse was fact I had to go back and get stuff. I haven't been able to take a deep breath since then and have interrmitent pains in my chest. Run, don't walk away. read more

I moved from another facility in Huntington Beach after 7 years of horrible experiences down at Extra Space. (For comparison - read that review) THIS facility is actually secure. Metal walls, not plywood, very good locks, alarms, concrete flooring, not plywood. And it's CLEAN!!! There are numerous carts and you have to check them out - and that is great because some people tend to hoard these if not watched. There is a loading dock - how awesome! Lots of closed circuit cameras. The staff was friendly, and the experience was great. You get the use of a "free" moving van - (actually 25.00 fee) which is GREAT. The place is a maze, and I thought I would grow old and die before I found my way out - but it is a very VERY nice facility. I feel it is very secure - the police train here. It was a waste of a day to have to move from a horrible place to a good one, but these things must be done. I feel much better now. And $2000,00. insurance was included. read more

DYLAN, BETTY AND ANGIE ARE THE BEST STAFF EVER! I cannot say express how thoroughly impressed I am with their professionalism, clean facilities, payment arrangements, communication and exceptional customer service. The security is amazing as well. I wanted to clarification on this post. What I meant to say is that the bathrooms have been close for over a year and a half. They excuse being they don't want people congregating in the bathrooms. How stupid. Has nothing to do with Covid. The water fountain broke over three years ago and has never been replaced. The dock area and loading area seems to always have trash and rat feces on the small ramp. The hallways where the storage units are at constantly has trash in them. They continue to raise the prices and offer no benefits at all for those who have been here for a long time. I don't expect special treatment but I do expect respect and courtesy from Morari the manager. ANGELA and Dylan are both very good workers and very polite but they can't do anything because the management has them tied in a knot. I have been here since 2007. I understand increase in rental payment however, at this time during the Covid pandemic to see an increase in rental fees when income is tight for everyone anyway. Seacliff used to run a very tight and professional organization. Now it seems like all that the main interest is in making money. And it seems that the management is not listening and any complaints or suggestions are falling on deaf ears. I wish I could say something good because I have been here for such a long time, but at this point all I see is give me give me give me. I just wanted to make sure that this post was clarified. read more

I've been a long term tenant (4+ Years) and can't say enough good things about this Storage Facility. The place is always so neat and clean, reminds me more of a hotel than a storage! Most units are Indoor which is great (more safety and cleaner) and the entire place is just conviniently equipped with push carts and 2 elevators. If you're planning to rent longterm I suggest to go to the third floor as the units up there are cheaper. The place always looks Brand New unlike the nearby Self Storages which remind me more of these military camps downrange, runned down and dirty. The employees are angels, always super helpful and very patient! A special shout out to the kind woman, I believe Mery is her name, who always helped me with everything during these past few years I've been renting there. Yes, the prices are a bit higher than the pig stables across the street but it's worth it! read more

Seacliff Self Storage at 18100 Kovacs Lane, Huntington Beach, CA 92648 has well earned 5 stars from me for a year of friendly, cheerful, helpful, and very secure services. Merary, the property manager, always welcomed me by name, made me feel comfortable, and helped me beyond her job's expectations; stronger than I am, she moved furniture when I needed help. Angie, her assistant, adds to the sense of welcome to secure storage. I have used several storage facilities over a few decades, and thanks to Merary, Seacliff is number one! read more

I cant say I was too happy getting my storage unit here. At first, the service was great from getting my unit, picking it out, the hours, ect. I believe it was Maryland (?) who helped me go through the rates and gave me a great price on my unit and others. I was promised 20% off and $1 first months rent. They have a great deal on a moving truck rental to help you move your stuff in. I was thinking I was getting a great deal! I was very happy. I was promised a login to pay online- which now Ive come to realized- was not set up and in my situation- I have to find alternatives to pay( over the phone, check, or in person). There goes that convenience. The day I had gotten all my stuff in the truck from my old apt out of town. I had decided to to see if I can pick another sized unit that at the rates I was promised to better fit my things... things went DOWNNNNHILLLLLL. Turns out that they are not able to combine two specials I was given. I was very frustrated because here I am with all my stuff expecting to pay a price I was promised just days before. They get Maryland on the phone and she denied everything!! She says she was going to "ask" for the discount but didn't say it was guaranteed. They call the manager about the situation and was only willing to give me the partial discount because it has happened multiple times with Maryland and cannot keep giving customers these discounts- even if it was promised prior. The guy who helped me tried finding different alternatives but ultimately, as a customer. I wasn't given what I had promised and luckily, if I didnt come in and talk to them about another unit- I wouldn't even know until I paid the next month. Its the principles more than anything. If you promise your customer something, the establishment needs to ensure it can give what is promised. Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. Going to keep the storage for now because of the pain in the ass it is to move big items and decent customer service when I come in. NOTE TO MANAGEMENT: Inconsistent customer service. Possibly re-train your employees so EVERYONE is on the same page on pricing, discount, policy, and procedures. No one wants to come in and go through the same runaround because of the pricing inconsistencies which I had to go through about 3 times- twice before I got the unit and once again when I had all my things moving into the unit. read more
