Price hikes are excessive. My unit is now more than double what they rent current similar units for. I've been a customer here about 4 years. 10x15 unit. --Initial price with insurance was $233. --9 months later increased to $255. --12 months later $291. --12 months later $393. Prices online at that point significantly less. --I ask if they can do anything, they brought the price back to $291. --3 months later, the price hikes back to $393. --6 months later it hiked to $467. Prices online about half. I ask if they can do anything, they decline. --Prices online today for similar 10x15 unit, $219 with insurance. I finally just booked one of the online units for $219 and will physically move my stuff from one unit, down the hall, to the other. I asked if there was a way to avoid going through this exercise and just give me the price that they are currently asking for rentals, and they said they could reduce my rate down to $375 but no more. Periodic price hikes are one thing, but for them to get to the point where the unit of someone who has been around for 4 years is more than double the price of a similar unit currently online is horrible. Facility itself is fine and the individual people working there are nice, which is why it doesn't get 1 star, but the pricing practices are a just a bad way to treat customers. read more

I have been a customer here for years. Susanna has been extremely helpful. Recently I stopped by with questions about prices and smaller units. She was very accommodating. I am a senior citizen. Several months ago I wanted to remove a large piece of art from my unit along with a few other smaller items. Susanna procured a cart and helped load the artwork onto the cart with my smaller items. We moved the cart downstairs to my car where she managed to maneuver into my car so I could take it home. I could not have have done it without her. Susanna always has a smile and is willing to help. Unbelievably positive experience! This is actually my first time ever renting storage and Susanna has definitely set the bar high for customer excellence and genuine care. Once you meet her, you'll agree that is one of the most loving individuals you'll ever meet. I've been grieving the recent loss of my dad and broke down the first time I met her. Initially, I was so embarrassed and uncomfortable when this happened. Immediately, she sought to comfort and connect with me, as she shared the loss of her dad too. Since then, she has always gone above and beyond to make sure that our needs are met and we felt welcomed and cared for. Fun fact: she actually goes around daily to conduct lock checks for each and every rental spot. Wow! It feels like the storage facility version of the neighborhood watch program. I'm just so genuinely impressed by Susanna lovingkindness. So unexpected to have such care at a storage facility, but so very much appreciated - beyond what words can describe! And it's super wallet-friendly too! I pay a little over $100/month for a parking spot. Way more affordable than their competitors and neighbor.com. Our RV was broken into, vandalized and damaged. There was so much taken that a vehicle had to be used to remove all the stolen items and the only way to access the property is through their gate which requires a code. Public Storage has cameras showing all vehicles entering and leaving the premises but would not offer any help. To make matters worse we removed our RV and were still charged a full months rent. read more

Excellent customer service from Anwar & Michael! As we all know, moving is very stressful, but he contributed to making us feel at ease. He even suggested the box sizes we needed for pictures and some other items when we moved out items here back in March. So glad to see that Anwar is back!!! Very clean place, but it looks very unsafe. The windows and doors of my trailer have been broken, and the tools in it has been stolen, and several cars of next door were also stolen. The employee told me that I need to report to the police and insurance by myself. No any action, no reply, and even no police show up after calling 911. read more

I have been renting a unit with this facility for 10 months. The only good thing I can say about this place is that the people that work in the office are super nice, it used to be Kent and now is Suzanna..... the place is also kept clean. Now for the bad: first off the water fountain they have has never worked which isn't a huge deal but definitely sucks when you're moving in a hot day and didn't bring anything to drink. Second, there's nowhere to throw anything away. They have a big dumpster but customers aren't allowed to use it for anything. It's VERY inconvenient especially considering the amount we pay to store there. That brings me to my final complaint, the cost! OMG THE COST!!! In less than a years time, my rent has been raised over $100. It's not only ludicrous it's actually also illegal! I will be moving my things from this facility asafp!! I will NEVER use PS again! Beware & steer clear of this price gouging opportunistic place!! ARGH!! read more

Worst management ever. The posted hours mean nothing here. Worse yet, no bathroom access when the office is closed, which is frequent. We went 3 months with a broken lock mechanism, which they promised to fix the day we moved in. So today is moving day. Do you think anyone is in the office? Nope. I even left a message today (last day of the month) at 1:30pm when we finished cleaning out the unit to turn in the keys. Perhaps this is a ploy to stick us with another month's payment. Either way can't wait to turn in our keys. You'd best be desperate to rent here. read more

The saga gets worse and worse. Now, over a month later, I am still trying to get refunded for a fraudulent $114 charge. I dropped my trailer off 11/15 and removed it 12/11, I got lured in by the $25 first month scam and they put me autopay without my consent EVEN THOUGH I CONFIRMED TWICE with the person who helped me book my space THAT THIS WAS NOT A RECURRING PAYMENT. Flat out lies. I have called the physical location manager, headquarters twice, the district manager, and payments department, yet somehow nobody can help me. I'm filing a fraud charge with my bank and reporting this company to the BBB. Super lame they take advantage of people like this. read more

Do you enjoy paying exorbitant rates and being gouged for a storage facility that has cockroaches running around IN your unit when you open it up? No, I'm not storing any food or perishable items that would attract them either, but it's not uncommon to find the little bastards running in and out of your unit or dead in the hallways. Coming here with a brand new, perfectly good lock that you have used at literally every other storage facility? HAHAHA TOO BAD, WE DON'T USE THOSE LOCKS HERE. We make you buy our "special, more secure" locks that you can't purchase ANYWHERE ELSE. Didn't plan on spending that extra money on a lock? WHAT A SHAME. Thirsty? Just take a drink from the water fountain. Oh wait, it's broken, and has been for the LAST 8 MONTHS that I've had a unit here. Guess you're out of luck. Need to use the restroom? Great, just ask for the key from the workers that are never there. Oh they're on their lunch and you gotta pee? Guess you gotta go in your pants, or maybe you have a coffee can in your unit. Our motor home has been broken into three times at this location. Our car trailer has been stolen from this storage lot. After they took a TV, DVD player, VHS, and stereo equipment, we no longer store anything in the motor home. The security here is nonexistent. All the office does is call you after the fact so that YOU can call the police. Don't waste your money leaving anything of value here. read more

Terrible Managment if you ask me.. reason being after paying in full for my unit management desides to put a lock on my storage unit. Convinced in there own little world & brain that it was paid fraudulently. Giving me no access to my belongings and sending me messages stating my unit will be going into auction. PUBLIC STORAGE EXEC SUPORT DEPT in CORP., rep was calling me DISCRIMINATORY names as I was explaining I paid 1 mo. in advance & had receipts. Rep refused to listen & I told him to stop with the name calling & would record he said NO cuz it's against their policy and hung up. I went to a location to show the receipts to clear situation & I was rudely treated, Agents refuse to cooperate with me, they started calling other locations pretending to be supervisors & even they admitted they were confused & informed me they have no supervisors nor General Manager. I was unable to solve the problem - I was locked out of my Unit. read more

DO NOT PARK A VEHICLE IN THEIR SECURED LOT!!! We were traveling from Wisconsin to California and needed to keep our teardrop camper in a secured location for a couple of weeks. (Our daughter's community does not allow campers/boats parked in the driveway). Came back to find $2000 worth of equipment stolen. They jimmied the window and opened the door. We had a side tent that I spent hours sewing and customizing that will be of no use to anyone. They also stole the Thule Dockslides for our kayaks, but the base is on the teardrop so they will be of no use to anyone either. It is simple to see it was an inside job. Who steals from people with your own interests??!! Google reviews were very good at this place. But going on Yelp is a different story and explains what is really going on here. We called police twice during the day and never came. I suspect they are tired of coming to this place. We also never heard back from management after many calls. I wish I would have checked ALL reviewing places. I would have never put it there. read more

Public storage should use this facility as an example for their other facilities to follow. Anwar (the manager of this facility) is beyond compare. I have done business with dozens of storage facilities over the years in my line of work, and I can tell you from experience that finding a bright gem like this in any storage office is rare. He knows his product and is happy to help. He's cooperative and professional, and has a great smile included at no extra charge. The 15 minutes of paperwork and conversation with him while renting my space were defintely the highlight of my day... he's a delight to work with. As a business owner myself, I know the value of having a public face as friendly as this. It can make or break your business. I know I chose to rent here today because of Anwar. The facility itself is quite clean and neat and certainly a big step up from most PS facilities I have seen. They have a HUGE RV space rental area and what seems like hundreds of storage units for rent. This is a big place with very easy access and LONG gate hours, too... 9pm, which is really great for working people. If you are reading this review, you're probably looking for storage. I know storage facilites, as I said... and you will not do better in this area. Call Anwar or drop by and let him get you all set up with whatever you need. read more

Public Storage Saved Us!!! My boyfriend has a toy hauler and we had no place to keep it as we live in Downtown HB. Michael @ Public Storage stayed late to accommodate my boyfriend with a spot to store this camper/toyhauler. Everything is gated and secure so we love this feature too. On my first trip at 6 am to deliver my belongings to my unit I had purchased the night before, we where the first people thru the gate at 6:01 am and when we used our gate code to enter the building there was a person sleeping inside the locked building near their unit which the door was open. It looked like this was not the first time and that this was the norm. I get it, theres a lot of homeless and people fall on hard times, and my issue isn't with that. My issues is that the manager is most likely aware of this and sold the property as secure and monitored with security cameras. I pay good money to store my things in a safe facility and feel this should have been disclosed to me. I no longer want to rent at this facility and fear this will only get worse. I phoned the property and the head quarters and neither person seemed concerned and I was dismissed read more
