I'm new to renting a unit here and although today was just the first day, I have confidence in storing my belongings here. I registered online and that helped when checking in. Marie called me the day before to remind me about my appointment. When I showed up, Marie was kind and helpful. I had a few questions, she answered them, showed me the unit I'd be renting and then starting unloading my things. If you don't leave the area exactly at 9, you get treated like a dog. I don't pay over $150 to be rushed out at 9:02 pm. Not to mention the price increase was over $30 difference with no warning or notification. Horrible management. Treats people like dogs. read more

The only good thing I can say at this moment is Marie is great. Unfortunately, Public Storage is now taking advantage of the housing situation by raising their late fees by 100%. I just paid $624 for April late and May 10 days late on a 5 x 15 foot space. I have been there way too long. Time to get my things out. I want to commend "Marie" for her excellent service and help. We went up to sort out my friend's storage area, He died a few months earlier at age 53, and we were left with a huge job to try to figure out what to do with everything. Marie helped us enormously by recommending some auction people who came out and gave us a "job lot" price for a whole bunch of my friend's tools and stuff. We could not have sorted everything out in the weekend time frame without Marie's help. Today I ended my three + year relationship with Public Storage, and to be honest, as relieved I was to have finally cleared out the clutter from my storage unit, walking into the office to say "Good Bye" was a little bittersweet. I was helping a friend recently and came in contact with this storage facility. This place is run by the nicest, most decent people I have ever done business with. Marie is kind, caring, attentive, and really, just decent. I have no idea how their prices compare with others in town. If I needed to rent storage space, I wouldn't even look elsewhere. I would just come here. (I imagine that their prices are as good as the staff.) Often, people are kind of desperate when they end up with stuff in storage, but customers here are treated with dignity and respect and it seemed like genuine affection. I wish I could give this company a negative rating-let's just say this -the special advertised-suddenly not available when we arrived-and oh, we just received a notice after 4 months from ' corporate' that our rent is increased 23%. Don't go here no matter how friendly the girls in the office are. Nothing the girls can do -it's corporate. Consumers have a choice-we are exercising that choice. When we get moved-we are complaining to the state attorney general-bait and switch and un justified rent increases. All fraudulent activities. read more

I was a customer at this storage unit before the it was bought by Public Storage, and the place was a haven for thieves, and the place was filthy. Later i got to meet the manager, Marie, who i saw slowly eliminate the riff raff, and clean the place up. Marie is gifted with a very easy to deal with personality, and she is always pleasant to do business with. I really enjoyed the timely calls when my payments were due. I am a current/ new customer of this place and The day I came in to rent my unit the lady was really nice she seemed like a decent person I have not even been there a week yet and yesterday my boyfriend and I were organizing our things in our unit the same lady who I thought was really nice came up to my unit and told me that we had to keep our door open while we were inside the unit and that we also had to leave because she said that we were hanging out on the property even though we had not even been there for an hour and a half. I pay $160 a month for that unit and I'll be damned if I'm gonna have someone Who doesn't even know me treating me like a child telling me I have to keep my freaking door open. And since when is there time limits on how long you're able to stay at your storage unit for during business hours hours of operation. I didn't think that there was a rule about that that's why they have business hours right?? DONT RENT FROM HERE Also it's a requirement that you use there a block that they provide to you and that you paid $20 for it and when they give it to you it's already on the unit so how Do I know that they don't have a copy of the key and can go into my unit whenever they want? So I put a lock of my own on top of the walk they provided on my unit well how come my locks suddenly disappears off of my unit? Beware of these people read more

I have had a great experience with Michelle, I registered online to speed the process, was called the same day to come in and finish the registration. Michelle was very informative of all the small details entailed with renting a unit since it was my first time using one. The premises are always clean, the bathroom is surprisingly very clean as I wasn't expecting much for a storage unit bathroom. Michelle swept out my unit as it was just recently vacated, she placed rat repellent and informed me or Dry Quick to ensure the units moisture didn't mold my belongings. I have been fortunate to have good experiences with many Public Storage locations. I have rented storage units between East and West Coast due to my military permanent change of stations. Today, I wanted to take the time to give a big Bravo Zulu (Civilian speak- Well Done!) to Marie. She definitely excudes great customer service skills. Marie assisted me in deciding on the correct size unit by showing me a sample unit. Her advice was accurate as I was able to fit all of my property into the unit the following day. Marie interacted greatly with all the customers that entered the office, she is genuinely nice. I hope management reads these reviews as I think not only should Marie be commended on her efforts, but hopefully the remaining staff use Marie as an example of Customer Service. read more

Still upset that I was paying my rent out state from 2006-2011 and finally came back to Vallejo to find out my storage unit had a different lock. All my stuff was stolen out of the unit. They stated to me they tried calling me and left a message. Never got it, although every month since 2006 they called to remind me about payment though. I hate public storage and highly recommend uhual who monitors there storage locations. Customers should be treated better than just a profit. read more
