I would give zero stars. Steer clear from this storage place. My unit was in the hallways and the units are not completely sealed off. The ceilings are open connecting all the other storage units. Mice got into my unit because of the open ceilings. There was mouse droppings all over my couch that cost $3k. End result - a damaged couch and belongings. I should have done research on how to choose storage units before I chose this place. For a small unit, it was around $190 per month and slowly raised to $200 over two years. They make you purchase insurance which only covers $500 of damage due to rodents which includes a $100 deductible! Apparently, they're not responsible for any damage caused by rodents because other storage units may have food stored and there's nothing they can do about it. Their answer is, "talk to your insurance about this." Zero stars. read more

Reasonably priced. No climate controlled units. I will be honest, I moved my stuff out as they were experiencing break-ins. I had warning and took all my expensive stuff out, then I was broken into the following weekend. If I can't use the storage, why am I paying for it? There is a manager on site. When there was a break-in, there were alarms off. They interrupted the person who was taken. They are spending money on pretty camera system, and lighting and trying to work out a better response plan. If all fairness cannot fall the business or the owner. I highly, highly suggest not storing anything at the Vallejo,Ca facility. Granted the location is already suspect, I thought I'd give it a chance considering it's gated and has a camera system... On New Year's Day, I drove up to my RV space and saw that my entire 13 foot trailer was gone. My kids were devastated. We immediately talked to the manager and asked for footage to find out what happened and was told that it was stolen 3 WEEKS EARLIER. Based on the surveillance footage, the thief was able to enter and leave with our trailer in tow through an open gate. They won't disclose who opened the gate in the first place and blamed the gate for staying open because of a "malfunction due to fog". This could be entirely wrong, but it's been almost 3 weeks since we filed a police report and the District Manager Mike has not given us an official statement, the official footage or a true apology. He was rude on the phone and unapologetic. I was admittingly rude and very angry with what happened, but I was trying to cope with my loss and was hoping to receive some answers. Instead, he argued with me on the phone and told me to talk to my insurance. He even tried to criticize my choice of locks (which were clipped off). We used a standard U Haul Hitch Lock! I see a few complaints about him in here so it's crazy to me that Storquest allows him to still manage these properties. This was VERY traumatizing to my kids. They ask everyday if we're going to get "Lucy" (the name of our trailer) back and we have to reluctantly say "no." - Vallejo Police won't investigate because it's not bodily harm - which is priority in Vallejo. - I'm investigating this BY MYSELF with no help from Storquest. - Storquest Vallejo won't share any information on who could have done this. The camera footage is so old and blurry, we couldn't make out a plate number. Lastly, an anonymous tenant told me that the person who is in the surveillance video stealing our trailer has been on the property multiple times. They said that, "the gate sometimes remains open during business hours so people are able to go in and out." Clearly, they are not upholding their side of our Agreement by not fully securing the premise or fixing their gate and are SIMPLY IGNORING MY MESSAGES AND NOT RESPONDING TO EMAILS ON A LOCAL AND CORPORATE LEVEL. My storage unit got broken into less than two months after renting it. I wasn't notified until almost 11am so who knows how long my unit was standing open for. There is supposedly a manager who lives on site and there are cameras and a gate with a code;however, none of these things matter when the door locking mechanism is flimsy and nobody actually keeps an eye on the place. They wouldn't discuss with me whether my unit is covered by a camera then later said a "corner" of that area is on camera. When I asked if they could see who broke into my unit, they would only say the district manager is reviewing the film and would provide no further info. I had the suggested round lock on my unit. Someone pried off the entire door locking mechanism, leaving my lock intact, likely using a crow bar. The locking mechanism looked cheap as hell and easy to bend. They give no assurance that my unit won't be broken into again. I'm moving my things out in three days (planned the move before this) and I should probably just go move the rest of my items out before the thief comes back again and clears the rest of my things out. My unit and one other, which was apparently empty, were supposedly the only ones targeted. With that many units, why was mine one of two burglarized? Makes no sense unless someone has been watching my family move our things in. Several thousand dollars of stuff is missing from first glance and tons of boxes marked fragile were tossed around so are likely shattered inside. They didn't really seem to care that the unit was broken into. Probably business as usual for them with how nonchalant their reaction was. I wouldn't suggest storing here unless you want your things stolen and rifled through. read more

I live near by here and have used them for years. Never an issue until I recently went to put back my Christmas stuff and my lock was changed. The manager could provide no explanation as to why I have a different lock and why they had both keys to it. I wasted 4 hours on a Sunday loading 2 vehicles of stuff to take to storage and unloaded everything onto elevator took down hallway to my unit, unloaded off dollys..only to have my key not work and have to take everything back home. HUGE WASTE OF TIME. I filed complaint with manager and was told I would get a call from Mike the District Manager. He never called. I contacted StorQuest corporate to get his number and when he finally called me and I explained what happened he never offered an apology or even offered to investigate what could have happened. I don't know if my unit was broken into, or if my lock was cut off in error or what happened. All I know is when I tried to access it, I couldn't get in, and it was a major inconvenience to me not to mention the concern that my personal belongings have been accessed without my permission. NOT OK! I have been a long time, good paying customer and I would expect much better then the rude brush off from the District Manager Mike. I asked what compensation he was willing to offer me for my 4 hours of wasted time and violation of privacy and he said one week storage rental which is $30. I'm sorry Mike but my time is worth more then that. How about being a professional and apologizing and trying to figure out what happened so it doesnt happen to another one of your clients again. How about offering a free month or two of storage for the wasted time. I have filed a complaint and let's see if Mike has a boss that has some more common sense. This weekend officially opened what I like to call as "moving phase." The moving phase starts when you pack your first box at your old home and end when you unpack the last box and/or hang up the last picture at your new abode. We spent 8 hours on Saturday straightening up and organizing our garage to get it ready for our move. On Sunday, we stayed in the house but we managed to get all of our books packed. I'm an avid reader but always lament that fact every time I move... Yesterday I packed 30 small moving boxes full of books. I know that's why the movers always give me a dirty look when they complete the job. Anyway, StorQuest is where we picked up our supplies... 30 small moving boxes, lots of tape, and some bubble wrap for fragile glassware. I've found, having moved about 30 times in my life, that you're much better off packing your own stuff. It's cheaper and you care about your stuff much more than the movers do. That theory was reiterated on our last move from LA back to the Bay Area when the movers hastily packed some fragile glassware, a fact we only realized when we unpacked our stuff. Called back and had a short, no-pressure conversation with the manager. Showed up and service was excellent. I hope the gentleman I dealt with works often, Jermaine (sp?). No rush, no pressure, no warnings. He was very informative and welcoming. And after all was said and done, I had said thank you and goodbye, he walked down to sweep my unit because he had noticed a few leaves and debree when he first showed it to me. They did me a favor by raising my rent by over 20%, greedy operators, so I moved to a much better facility on north Sonoma Blvd where the operation is very clean and professional. No use of public restrooms, took a month to fix roof leak, a week to replace the gate operator keypad. Their district manager Mike is a very arrogant "Trump" type character. I was there for 5 years with 4 different managers. These owners are a large national company who care about money and are not tenant friendly or concerned about giving good service. They laid off their maintenance man the beginning of the year to increase their greedy profits. There is nothing that I can say positive about Storquest. "Fish Rots from the Head", their onsite managers are probably under paid and poorly treated, that speaks for the big turnover in management. My speculation is that the leader of the company has set a negative tone down to the managers. read more

I had to move my household items there a couple of months ago because our house wasn't ready and I was frustrated and tired but the manager Rodney went above and beyond to make sure my transition was easy. eek methinks not is sooo right me thinks heck no is the real words I have a very bad idea of this place its called get some rodent traps and cockroach spray cause at this place you need it! my unit was on the 2nd floor and the entire time I moved all my stuff in the stupid elevator didnt work and after telling the storage team of this problem and hearing day after day that it will be fixed I gave up and started to move it all up the stairs! oh yeah and dont forget how the management team so conveniently close early without even saying a word and therefore locked my car in this rat hole and I didnt have my phone so I am stuck there although they live at the site for some reason they didnt hear me !
