Horrible, Horrible, Horrible! Doesn't even deserve one star. Be careful for the indoor units, because they will not protect your stuff. Hinges are located on the outside of the doors, so that means anyone can break into your unit. Noticed weeks ago that a pin on my hinge was missing. Showed an employee the problem, he said not to report the incident because "Public Storage " does not care about its customers, and the pin was missing because of the painters. However, he said he would note it. Surprise, Surprise he did not note the incident and now our space was broken into. Door was completely taken off and our stuff was vandalized, stolen, and left in the hallway. Spoke to the general manager (lady with short dark hair), and she was also no help. Actually turned everything around on us. Maybe the first employee was right! Reporting the situation got us nowhere! Spaces also do not have proper security surveillance. I know this is why we have insurance on the units, but who really wants to go through the headache! Maybe if Public Storage did their job, it wouldn't be so easy for crooks to break in. General Manager states " storage place get broken into all the time". Yes, maybe that is the case but I have had many storage units, and never was broken into. Lets be real, this business may be kind and clean but the moment something happens their customer service goes out the door. I trusted the employees here in the Redlands office, and that was my biggest mistake. I sure do wonder why my storage unit was targeted twice. First the employee blames it on the painters, and then now my unit was completely ransacked. Sounds a little suspicious to me, even more so now that the management doesn't care one bit. Redlands public storage deserves zero stars. I've been renting here for 4 years and every year it goes up $10.00. I'm moving all my stuff out of here. I just got broken into, it seems as if the staff here doesn't give a crap. I had to file a police report with the Redlands police department. Good thing I had insurance. I found out how the thieves broke into my unit. They rented out the unit next to mine, took the drywall screws out, and just walked into my unit and took whatever they wanted. It's easy to do, just rent out a unit for $1.00 for the first months rent, pay with cash, use a fake ID, get into the unit and break into the unit next door. They may as well use cardboard to protect your stuff. I would never rent from here again, or any storage unit that uses cheap drywall in between units. I also felt that this was an "inside" job, as management didn't seem to have information on the person who rented out the unit next to mine. Do not rent from here, take your stuff to a storage place that uses brick walls in between the units, and it would be a lot cheaper, safer, with better security!!! read more

Wow. Drove over an hour and 40 mins to redlands, in 94° to go to my storage caz i HAVE TO PHYSICALLY SIGN a stupid request for them to break my storage lock, i get here and the person is ON BREAK!! AT 350PM!??? AN HOUR B4 CLOSE?!? Like bro i drove here to get her b4 close and handle this. And i have to wait 25 mins EXTRA mins!!! And the most annoying part is we're calling and knocking and the lady inside is completely ignoring us!! I need to fill out a form to get their locksmith to cut my storage lock and they told me i HAVE to buy a replacement lock. Um ok. First off that policy, that someone has to come out and sign this paper instead of faxing the request from a closer storage is fuckin inconvenient!!! Andd i bought the first lock why tf do i have to buy another one!? When im leaving!?And even tho the girl who helped me was nice. It pisses me off caz she had a completely different story than niecy the other one who works there. Like i drove from San Diego Twice!!because people can't get their stories straight! read more

Worst storage experience and customer service ever. Doesn't even deserving a One Star. The employees and their managers don't know how to communicate with each other. I have to continually explain to everybody my situation and nobody knows what they're doing there. Worst ever! I am not going to be using this place nor recommend this place ever. I complained about my MTB getting lost inside my storage and filed a police report nothing happened. Then I bought a second lock to make sure nothing is lost. My lock got broken into and my TV got lost. What the heck is going on here. I left a message to their office because it's close already when I found out that my lock is gone. Nobody called me back until someone ask me to make payments and I said did anybody received my message which I left twice (I called twice). Nobody received my message. It disappeared for some reason. Don't come here. You're stuff won't be secured. Customer service sucks. Everyone is a crook there. read more

I researched a whole bunch of self storage places before I chose this one. The advertised price for the unit size I was looking for was the lowest. HOWEVER, when I got to the office, the manager there was one of the rudest, most unfriendly people I have had the displeasure of meeting. I happen to be a self storage manager at a place in Rialto so I KNOW what the process is. When I mentioned that I also was a manager at a self storage, this lady did not even acknowledge that I'd said anything. Not a word. I tried very hard to be friendly, but she was as cold as ice. I finally came right out and asked her if I had said or did something that made her mad. Her comment was that "she was just trying to do her job". This girl needs to go back to school for Customer Service 101. Very uncomfortable and stressful throughout the rental process. I've never felt so unwelcome in my life. I'd give this place less than 1 star based on the unprofessional and hateful attitude of this person. Horrible. read more

Public storage SUCKS, Their policy is not customer friendly by any means. They take your money, which is an outrageous fee at that, then don't give access to your unit within their" open hours" time frame. The manager is nice but that has Nothing to do with what's right and what's wrong. Public storages units are pieces of &$@$. There lighting doesn't work and when you ask to have it repaired the policy and requirements to get a light bulb changed are @&$&@& ridiculous. They want to give access to some random "technicians " to your unit when your not even there. everything about public storage sucks. More times than not, I cannot find anyone in the office. The rent goes up every year and insurance is mandatory through them. However, when I got broken into, the insurance asked for receipts, credit card statements, and PICTURES of me with the things I reported missing. Most people dont take cameos with the things they have in storage. They ensure the process of filing a claim is impossible and therefore htey dont have to pay out. Oddly enough my unit was just standing open and everything took were the small items. I dont believe it was a breakin. The staff was less than helpful and completely unfriendly about the incident...could have cared less. In addition, they placed their own lock on my unit and then charged me for the lock! One of the staff members even admitted that is is best to rent an outside unit opposed to the smaller units inside, where there is absolutely no security. So you are left with the choice of paying an even more absorbent price for a large unit you dont need, just to gain a small piece of mind your unit is safer because its outside in plain site. This is not the first time I had problems with my unit. This place is criminal. read more
