Professional and friendly staff. Secured area with gates, cameras and lights. Used this placed for a short period (6 months). I had no issues with billing nor service. I called ahead of time to terminate service so that I wouldn't get billed an extra month. Everything went as anticipated. read more

I have to say I was very disappointed after 2 months receiving a rent increase by 50.00 dollars. I have used storage area before a usual can expect rent increase after a year... not two months. read more

Had a great experience renting here. Ally was super friendly and the lease expectations were easy. We got in and out just fine with no concerns. Location is super nice as the driveways are very large and there is plenty of space to maneuver, even with a trailer and other vehicles present. We had three different units during our move, and this is the only location I would recommend. It wasn't the cheapest location, but it was way better than the others. read more

Extra Space Storage needs to be careful because someone should snap her up for an Admin Assistant job (although she's probably shooting higher). read more

Let's face it. Having a storage unit full of extra stuff that you don't know what to do with, don't use, have room for or don't need is annoying, costly and just plain sucks. I wake up in the morning sometimes hoping I paid my bill on time or if I am going to soon see my belongings being sold on an episode of Storage Wars. I hate it, need to get rid of it, I am always late with my payment cause it hurts every time I pay it. But these are the things you deal with when you are married to someone who hasn't thrown a thing away in 25 years. The man can't even put clothes inside of a hamper! He drapes them across the top! That being said, I have to say that since I do have a unit, I sure am glad it's here. I absolutely love Jill and Ron. They remind me when I am late without annoying me, are very accommodating if you have a request, they keep the place impeccably clean and it looks and feels very safe. Once I got a call on an evening I went to my unit and it was Jill letting me know she went around making sure locks were securely locked up and mine was not...so she did it. Jill is nice enough to remind me that I should soon condense down to a smaller unit because she knows how our massive 20' x 40' is half empty and we are wasting money. They are open for access until 10 pm. Most others in the area are as early as 6 or 7! Aside from the fact that Ron finds it amusing to watch me try to park when I go there, he's okay also ;-) Thanks guys! Rented a unit for three months. The entire process was quick and easy and the place seemed clean. My only gripe is when I decided to terminate the lease, there was no refund on the unused portion of the month - which I was told would happen when I signed up. However, I did notice that in the agreement itself (which I had to contact them multiple times for because I didn't get a copy for days), it does say that they will keep your rent for the entire month, regardless of when you terminate if it had already been paid. A little shady to be told something verbally and to have the contract say something else. I also got a letter right before I terminated that they were going to be changing the gates on the units for safety/maintenance. The day I moved my stuff out, the gate was stuck and wouldn't close. I ran to the front to find only one person working and she was with another customer. I was on a schedule to move the stuff out so it was frustrating that there wasn't another employee available. She did end up helping us with the gate but was very rude. Yes, it was a hotter day in March and no one wants to be stuck trying to un-jam a gate with dust and crap flying down but the company was going to replace the gates/doors for a reason and this was it. Not the customer's fault but she made it feel like it was - "You opened it wrong and it's stuck on this part right here." Overall, if you have a ton of stuff that's worth more than the rent you'll be paying, this place is alright. read more

I browsed numerous storage facility websites comparing sizes/prices/etc. Extra Space had the best of all and even offered a web & first month discount. I reserved a unit online and was contacted within minutes by phone to confirm. Jill was extremely helpful, answered any questions I had, and took me around the facility and showed me the unit I had reserved. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean all areas of the facility are! She assisted with all the paperwork and payment quickly. Keep in mind that there is an insurance fee on top of the storage rental fee, but it's very reasonable. Jill and her husband are on-site and the office is open 6 days a week. Gate access is from 6am - 10pm, making it very convenient. Hoping I don't have to store my things for very long, but glad I found a safe place with such nice people! read more

Great storage facility. The office is run very professionally, they are friendly and very knowledgeable. We have lots of choices when it comes to storage but this is a choice you will not regret. Their prices are good it's easy to reserve online, I did it on my phone. When I arrived everything was already in the system all I had to do was sign some papers and show my ID. I had a storage here years ago and had the same great experience. If you're looking for a storage facility this is a great choice. The staff is what made the biggest difference in my experience here. They even helped me decide what size unit I needed. I was going to pay for a larger one and I didn't need it. It is so very helpful to have great people in the office. read more

I don't even want to give this place any stars. My boyfriend and I just arrived at our storage unit to find someone has been in our unit going through our things. It's someone who has a master key to our "extra space" bought locks. The locks were not broken, cut or tampered with. We don't know yet if anything was stolen but boxes were thrown upside down, ripped open, tote containers opened, file cabinet rummaged through, suitcases open and clothes ripped out of the suitcases. This is just a few things noticed. My boyfriend's file cabinet was wrapped with ceranwrap when we put it in storage. That was ripped off and drawers open and papers pulled out. As I said we still don't know if anything was stolen but it looks as though whoever this was was looking for small things of value. And someone who had a key. I've never been a fan of storage units and this is the exact reason why! read more

I have had several storage units during my loooong lifetime. This was the best facility I have had. They were very friendly and the place was always very clean. Very helpful people. I just moved so no longer need there services but would not hesitate to go back if I ever need one again. read more

We just finished our third summer at Extra Space Storage in Redlands for my college daughters' summer storage and I cannot say enough about the facility and especially the incredibly helpful staff. Over three summers they have been extraordinarily helpful and patient with access and help with lost keys. The smallest unit is easily big enough for two or three students and all of them can be put on the contract in case a problem comes up. Also, I was able to stop by an Extra Space Storage location near my Minnesota home and do all the paperwork (child was not yet 21) and the staff in Redlands was able to respond immediately. I would recommend them to anyone--and it's particularly useful for parents trying to work with a facility near their kids' school. read more

For many reasons due to this economy, I had to move my office and household belongings to Extra Space in Redlands. The price on the internet got me, as well as the location. When I called, I was told that the quoted price on the internet was not current, that it was actually $10.00 more, I then moved in and the price magically increased yet another $10.00. Since I originally thought I would only need the space for a few months, I agreed. After a few months, my rental space magically increased AGAIN, since I have been moving, the letter informing me that it had increased did not reach me, I sent in checks with the original rental agreement amount, but since I was $9.00 short, they would not accept the checks, sent them back, cut the lock on my unit, charged me late fees for not including $9.00 in the check, put a lien on the unit and were going to sell my stuff if I did not pay the entire amount. Oh I forgot, I am being charged for the new lock. This is extortion of the worst kind. Do not rent from this or any other Extra Space, they nickle and dime you, threaten you with loss of all of your property for less than $100.00. Tell me, what would they do to people fighting for our nation over seas? read more
