Great facility with an amazing staff! Recently Mario and Tylere went out of their way to take care of an issue with a unity to make sure I was able to rent the correct unit. Additionally, the staff takes pride in the facility and tries to make sure it is clean and safe for the customers. I find the entire staff very friendly and helpful. I have been renting here for more than 6 years and never had an issue. I feel safe when at the facility and feel my stuff is well secured. I'm a business with 4 units for over 5 years. They told me to "move out" inorder to change the contact person. "The units must be empied first and then you may move back in when the new agreement is signed." I'm going to now move all units out to there competition. Extremely poor customer service. read more

I am only giving them this low rating because if you keep your unit for a long time, you will pay more than market rate. They will increase you till you are higher than what a new client will be paying. if the market goes up, i would understand the increase. but how you charge more than the current price. Other than that, they do get rodents which they put out bate for. Oh do lose your key and have get them to come cut off the lock. Be prepared to wait a minimum of a week to two. well my experience not so good. i was someone at the pittsburgh storage stole my belongings i was in the process of moving the said i had to leave or be locked in everyone else was gone so o followed the rules and left a box with all my shoes my sons clothes and toys my crook pot my cable box the screws to out beds personal but mostly items that were dear to me of my son whom work hard for all i ask was for the front desk to check the security camara she was very rude would not let rhe other female talk but was able to say tge hold things lke that in a special locker i just want my son things his road blcks that woman who drives tge black. nissan was hiding things i saw of my sons and continued ignoring me i ask her to ask the guy in the elevator that got on and pushed me out so i used the stairs i tried telling her what he did and how my things were on that same elevator she told me she would not call him and for me to make a police report but she had no time to assist me or the police and for me to leave because they were closed . and if i had no insurance then she wouldn't help me no way mind me i was moving out i no longer needed insurance. my shows are worth over 2 thousand bucks which i can take that lost my son belongings has no value there priceless read more

I use storage places often but never 1 like this, and I have to say Omg I love it. You can access door, and gate locks with there public storage app. Granted because of the type of units you have to buy 1 of there titanium for $19.99 &it's added to your purchase no negotiations but it does come with 3 keys and you can buy an extra lock yourself if your wish to put on outside but trust you won't need it. YOU WILL GET YOUR STORAGE ROBBED!!! Not only did our storage get robbed, but we did not find out until a month later. We have no idea how they were able to enter through the gate, as well as the elevator, which also has a required code. We think it may have been an inside job, for the employees seemed to care less and the manager was of no assistance. It is shocking to us that someone was able to break the lock take everything and then replace it without anyone noticing as they do close early. Let's just hope there's security cameras actually work. We will not be recommending this location to anyone as they said it has happened in the past. read more

We have had our storage unit at the facility for a really long time. Their customer service has slowly become worse and worse. We finally have had enough and the situation below was the icing on the cake. I do not recommend anyone placing their belongings at this facility. They think only about the rent they collect and could care less if you stuff is protected or not. I received an email on July 14th advising my unit was unsecure. I of course freaked out and we immediately went to our unit with a new lock. When we arrived our unit had our lock on it. The office was closed so I decided to call the next day and see why we got the email. Called and spoke to Allison. I told her what happened and she explained that it was a generic email sent out when the lock doesn't fit their criteria. Mind you we have had the same lock FOR YEARS. Allison also explained that the employee (whose name is Jason), was supposed to call us BEFORE they sent that email. That way we knew what it was about. I informed Allison at that time we were not renewing our contract ( which was at month to month at this point) and would be removing all of our stuff by 7/31. Allison apologized and said she would speak to management about the employee not following protocol. She also offered a reduce monthly rate if we kept our storage. I explained we already made our decision but thank you for the offer. A few minutes after I got off the phone, I received another generic email asking us to not cancel and offering a reduce rate. Fast forward to today. We went to our storage to move stuff out. We get their, get a cart, get to our storage and there is another padlock on our unit with ours, blue in color. We had been locked out of our unit. Now I'm beyond pissed. We go back to the office and there are 3 people working. An older white haired lady, a younger woman and a middle aged man. We tell them why we were there and the manager gave us the reasoning that they were protecting our unit with the extra lock. The lock they put on was flimsy compared to ours and defeated the purpose. Then Jason started talking. He put the lock on because we didn't change our lock to one they wanted. I said we told Allison that we weren't replacing the lock because we were moving our stuff out. Then the manager pipes up yes, I see all that in your account notes. So, tell me, why couldn't Jason see the same notes? Also found out that Jason HAD NOT been talked to even though the manager was made aware of him not following protocol. This facility is a mess. The only competent employee is Allison and she deserves better than this company. read more

What a JOKE!! I've been paying for a unit here for 4 years. I go in on a Sat and half of the power in my building is out (yes, in the area of my unit) I attempt to get help and am told "Ma'am I'm with a guest". Well, I am a already paying customer and there are no lights for me to see in my unit. The clerk proceeds to take the other customer to see a unit in the same building I'm in where there are no lights. She comes out, and tells me to call the other attendant on the call box to assist me. No one answers so she says she will send him. 40 mins go by, we are using our cell phone flashlights to see and I'm pissed so I go back out and press the button for someone to come and then they finally do and tell me the other person never told them I needed help. I had to suggest to them to provide me at least with a flashlight to be able to try and finish going through my belongings. To add insult to injury, they had to come and check the units cause I told them I heard someone in there coughing and when they did this they left a door open in the darkness that I smacked me head on pretty good and told them about but they didn't really seem to concerned. Left a message with customer service for the District Manager (Billy) to call me and he did so today, offered me an apology which was very rushed and when told about my injury was not too concerned either. NOT ONCE did he offer me anything for my inconvenience. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL AROUND!!! read more

I rented here for less than a month . The property manager is unprofessional, Rude. She tried telling me I couldnt have my service animal with me and wouldnt let me upgrade my unit. I called corporate and made a complaint. Even asked them if it was true I couldnt have my service animal they told me as long as hes on a leash then yes I could. The day I tried to vacate my unit. My code wouldnt work. Had to call corporate again to have them overide the gate for me to get in and still had to wait for the property manager to get my belongings because corporate couldnt overide the building codes for me . I wasnt due to pay for another week!!!! I recommend public storage to anyone they are my first choice but this location is crap and so are its employees. read more

So I just want to first say that 5 star is strictly for Margret the Property Manager!! I've been renting there for a little bit over a year and let me just tell you all how AWESOME she is!! There have been times when I fall behind and she goes above a beyond to help, either to call and remind me of payment dates or just simply hear me out and give me the best advice as to what I should do so I don't lose my unit! She's helped me out in so many ways (By the book!) I truly appreciate her so much and I feel whoever is above her and works beside her should definitely give her the recognition she deserves! She makes their job so much easier with the way she deals with customers like myself! I get frustrated easily but she will polity but firmly tell me to just hear her out, she has this way of deescalating the situation and turning my frustration into understanding!! This facility is very sketchy. The do not know how to do accounting and figure out bookkeeping figures when someone moves in/out. Got sent to collections for no reason as another yelper said they did. Attendants are never in office, always roaming somewhere on the golf cart. Bad area and unit doors and not stable or secure. Always broken and something going wrong. They admitted when I first rented the unit that there are break ins all the time. Luckily I didn't have missing items, just broken down unit door and terrible customer service. Will never rent there again. BEWARE of the collections scam all! read more

Unbelievable that a company such as Public Storage can't figure out how to prorate space during a month. Moved my son out of this place 5 days after the month started, and because we used one day into the new month they are charging us for the full months fees. It's usury and they know it. I rented a storage room from Public storage on California Avenue in Pittsburg California on August 29th. Of course they told me one price over the phone and charged for a lock, insurance and tons of fees including an administrative fee. When I got to the unit there was a plastic Covid disinfected sealed lock that had to be broken off to open the door. This lock was to show the staff had cleaned, inspected and disinfected the storage room. I broke the lock and opened the door. Upon opening the door a bad smell immediately hit me and I could hear the buzzing of insects. Upon looking further into the unit there was a bag of HUMAN FECES spilling onto the floor!!!!! I immediately walked back to the off and asked for a refund. If their staff didn't care about my safety they for sure wouldn't care about my belongings. The front desk guy said I needed to call to have the administrative fee returned. I emailed and called. I was told twice someone would call me back and I even left a voicemail. No one ever called me back!!!!! read more

I've been renting units here for about two years - and I won't be doing so any longer. The first unit was a 10x10 upstairs. No problems except for the elevator being out of order every other month. Then I get a notice that my rent is going up by $30 - after I've been there for a little over a year. Quite the scam since most people can't move their stuff and would just need to pay it. I get a smaller unit; a 5x5 on the ground floor - $55 a month. In March, my unit was broken into. The burglar peeled back the chicken wire on the top of the unit and climbed in. He cut himself on the chicken wire, so what he didn't break by falling in he splattered blood on. I clean it all up (threw a bunch away) and ask to get a different unit. They take me to another 5x5 which has a metal roof to prevent such break-ins. This "5x5 unit" is really closer to a 4x3 and costs $86 a month. I came back to get my stuff out last week. Lo and behold, there's a lock on my unit that isn't mine, and my lock is nowhere to be found. One of the staff comes out and tells me that there's residue on my locker door that looks like oil from someone drilling the lock. I pay another "cut the lock" fee, buy a new lock, pay for another month of storage, and schedule for the manager to cut the lock during the week. I told them I'd be back Sunday (today) to inventory my stuff and see if anything is missing. Big shocker, they never cut the lock. The guy inside tells me that the district manager is on vacation and hadn't told anyone to take over that part of the job while they were gone. This is weird, since the people last week told me that the district manager was scheduled to come in on Tuesday (almost a week ago) to cut a different lock. You rarely see the same employee twice, nobody knows that the lock is being drilled or the unit broken into (despite the lockers being "individually alarmed"), and every explanation you get is a run around. Now they're telling me that they'll have the manager come in on Monday - great, does me no good. Update: They finally got around to cutting the lock, so I came in to inventory the unit. No surprise here, there's stuff missing. Namely a fireproof box of documents and two electricians cases of AV equipment. Lord knows how long its going to take to replace the papers, but I'm out a bundle for the gear. Plenty of my cds and xbox disks were smashed as well. Funny thing, on this trip, none of the employees would even look me in the eye. Not one. Also, I can say conclusively that there is no alarm on the unit - add false advertising to the growing list of grievances. I'll post a link to a video proving this later. So, $86 a month for a 4x4 unit (more costly specifically because it was suppose to be more secure) $40 to cut the lock, $20 for a new lock, around $2,000 to replace all my gear, and who knows how long to replace my papers. Unbelievable. If you're a renter here, do yourself a favor - leave before your unit gets broken into. read more

Environment & Service: The manager called me to welcome to their Public Storage. I considered her approach as a wonderful professionalism. Margaret is the best manager! The manager and service clerks are very attentive with my paperwork. The manager trusted me with their flatbed since she knows that I am a teacher. Awesome, right? The storage is very clean and well lighted as you walk through the hallway after getting off the elevator. They have sensor lights to guide your way. The elevator is very big, so you can maneuver your items in there. The bathroom is located outside of the office. It is clean in there as well. It is well maintained by the staff. Storage: My teacher's boxes and items are stored in the second floor. It seems a bit inconvenient, but it is not that bad. The unit is very clean. I used up all the room. Whew! There are also security cameras stored at the elevator area as well. It is a smart idea on their part for safety. Price: The price is fabulous since you only pay a small fee and $1 for the first month. It was a wonderful deal. I am very happy with their price. It is so much cheaper than the location in Cupertino. read more

Margaret is a very nice lady who helped me. Only thing is, I had my stuff here for a little over a month and when I came back ALL my things were GONE !!!! Left me with ripped boxes and couches!!! My lock wasn't even touched!! Perfectly fine, not broken or messed with. As if someone had a key to my damn lock (I did buy this lock from their storage). Apparently they don't have any footage of these people (whoever) taking MY WHOLE HOME!!!!!! I would NEVER recommend you keep your things here!!!!!!!! Better to keep your things in a family members garage!!! My insurance is only maxing us out at 3,000$ when about 15,000$ was stolen from us!!!!!! read more

I would not leave my items in this storage. I had them there for 2 years and they went up in price each year but that is to be expected. What is not to be expected is when you pay such prices and think your items are going to be taken care of, and you move out and there is rat feces all over them. I am not talking about a little amount. I could not believe how my items were covered with it; where the top of the furniture and other items just looked black. With the high prices paid there, they should certainly spend money for pest control. This caused me a lot of money and trouble to get my items cleaned up. I had so much rat feces clean up at my home it was ridiculous. I left a message with the Executive Office in Glendale with no return call.
