This place is awesome! The staff was so sweet, friendly, and welcoming. I absolutely loved her energy, and she was so informative and helpful throughout the whole experience. The value is great, and the service was definitely a 10/10! I'll absolutely be coming back and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to store all your things. read more

I thought this storage was great but I was fooled, they will get over on you please run from this place you will get robbed by employers. I'm very organize and the response from them was " they had to do inventory to sale" whatever. The worse place read more

Makes it impossible to make over the phone or online payments. The people that work there are extremely nice and very helpful. Nothing against the people that work there strictly on trying to make a payment. Don't even bother trying to access your account online because they make it damn near impossible again not the people, but I'm sure it's the company read more

RATS! I ended my service and took all my belongings with me. Inside of my unit had rat droppings everywhere and on my items. Also bugs and debris everywhere. The employees were kind enough to assist me without any problems which is why I gave it an additional star. Otherwise this would be a one star review. read more

I've been renting a unit for a couple of years. I haven't had any big issues. I wouldn't recommend for long term rental since they raise the rates a little more often than I'm comfortable with. read more

Easy in and out, great customer service! Storage is expensive, glad we only needed it for a few months.

Well my opinion has not changed in fact it has gotten worse! Just received another unit raise. I no longer like Acorn Storage at ALL! The new manager answers my review with "they are trying to stay competitive". Are you kidding me? You don't tell your renters you are trying to stay competitive with all the others that raise their rates twice a year. Yes we know you want to charge as much as everyone else to stay competitive on the business end, not on the consumer end. If you want to be competitive on the consumer end, you keep your rates and raised steady and just a tad lower. Don't mold your business model after Public Storage (whom I have nothing good to say about either). You are trying to stay competitive for profit and not for the renters. What a stupid thing to say to a renter. Staying competitive, for your information, means you want prices that are the same as others so you are in the same league as they are. How does that benefit the consumer? Raising your prices keeps you competitive and that helps the consumer how? Don't put your items here. I am busy or would have emptied the unit already. I have it 60% empty and once I can finish, I will take my long term business elsewhere thank you very much. You can bet on that. Horrible new management, horrible! Only put your items here if you can afford one to two raises in your rates per year. They cannot wait to raise rates. Really sad. This was THE best storage facility in Brentwood with the other management team. Sad to say, this place is no longer unique or small town, it is trying to stay competitive, so remember that when you look here. You can read the comment for yourself. read more

I rented a unit here mostly due to the friendliness of the manager and the $1.00 first month special. It's secure, roomy, but pricey. When I tried to vacate the unit but was unable to move the last 2 large items a desk and a bookcase, particular staff members were beyond rude and borderline unprofessional. Suddenly, it's oh, you can't just leave stuff, auction is not optional, we're not a dump site, and then the threats of all the fees that will be accrued such as: abandonment, dump, auction, liens, and collections. Then claim that they don't want me "to have to deal with the repercussions." If you're new to the area, financially strained, or don't know anybody to help you move your stuff, bypass this place. read more

This review is for their lack of communication! The site is nice, clean, safe and gated! However, my first irritation was I got an email stating that if I did auto payments, there was a discount. So I opted in, didn't get my discount and had to call. When I called they said I would be credited the following month. It's like "whatever". The biggest irritation is today! I came in last Tuesday and communicated that I would do a move out Saturday (today). I asked if there was anything I needed to do, they said just to do in writing. No one told me that their hours were changing. I hired movers at 9 am. Get to the storage facility and there is a new sign posted that hours have changed and the access code for the gate will not work until 930?! No notification or communication was sent. No email, text, phone call, etc. when I called the office the person said he didn't know why I wasn't notified or even told last Tuesday?! That's it?????? So I paid movers to sit and wait 30 mins to wait for the gate to open! read more

I have been with this facility for while now. it's been a pretty good experience and the staff is very friendly. Well I can only speak for Carolyn and Eva as they are the only ones I've dealt with But lately I've only dealt with Carolyn, she's such a sweetheart and makes the experience so much easier. Kudos to Smart stop for having such an amazing person working for them. read more

I just rented here as my first time with a storage unit. I definitely did not know how they work as the unit I reserved was in a corner that would definitely not fit my 9 foot sofa. Thankfully the manager Martina was super helpful and got me into a less expensive unit that fit all my stuff. Because of this I saw three units and they were all very clean and had counter measures to Antioch pests. There were two other gentlemen that I do not remember their names but were friendly and very helpful. A cute addition to the facility is that they have a prize wheel for new customers. read more

I rented a 10x20 for 3 months until the end of January. I got the first month at promo rate which was nice! Clean and no issues with the storage unit. Staff is friendly! I even received a nice little birthday card from them. I would definitely rent from them again if needed. read more

Renter Beware! This has to be the worst customer service I have ever experienced at a company before in my life. We renter a unit back to this past 7 years ago we used them and loved them. Now we came back all these years later the the experience was very different. When we went in to rent the unit the lady was very nice. We told her we only needed it for a couple months, as we are selling our home and buying a new one. She was so great and explained to how she would set us up on auto payment, and that once we knew when we going no longer need the unit to let them know and they would pro-rate us the days we did not use. Here is where is went downhill fast! Really fast! Today on 11/6/2017 we received a call that we were late on our payment. (Hmmm ok) So my better half went into the office to pay the bill... (more downhill) They told him that we were late paying and that we would not be pro-rated because we needed to give them advice notice before we made our payment. So I decided to call that evening 11/17 and see what was going on. The guy that answered the phone started out nice, but as soon as he knew I had a complaint it got hostile very quickly. He would not listen to me at all, he talked over me the entire time I was on the phone. Even when I asked if he could stop talking over me, and said and I quote " You are not listening, there is no issue, and you need to listen to me. Read your contract it's all there". I am a director of customer service, and this has to be the rudest person I think I have ever spoke to over the phone. Yes, it is my responsibility to make sure I read the small print, but when you call to ask further questions, or make a complaint this is not how you should be treated at all. I even told him this is what I was told, and he did not care what so ever. He if was under my management he would have been fired on the spot! It is only a little money that I would be pro-rated, so it is really not the money at all to be honest. For anyone renting a unit from this storage place, make sure you read all the writing up front and do not trust the person at the front desk just because they tell you something. I have learned my lesson for sure. I will call back in the morning to report this gentlemen and speak to the senior manager about his actions, and very poor customer service. I wish I have a better experience the second time around. read more

The entire staff at Acorn Self Storage is amazing! We had a storage unit for a little over a year and never had any problems or worried about our stuff. Would 100% recommend to anyone and use them again if needed! Thank you Acorn Self Storage! read more

I feel horrible giving this place only three stars. I absolutely love the staff they are very very friendly as well as helpful. Now the reason why I give it three stars it's because they do have a problem with ants. Also if you call the hotline it'll tell you, hope they're open 24 hours. Which is not the case you are not able to access the inside after 10. read more

Easy location, lots of options for storage, you can even rent parking space for a boat or RV if your HOA will not allow you to park on your property. Staff is very nice, and the complex is very well lit in the evenings. read more

Most importantly the staff has been extremely nice! My first day an older lady made me feel like i was having dinner at grannies house! She was so sweet. Then today I go to put in my leaving notice at 6:05. 5 minutes past office closing and Martina opened with a smile and very professionally assisted. The smile alone was unexpected, the service after closing was exceptional! read more

Acorn self storage tells their customers they will pro rate rent bills then do not honor the agreement. When you do have a problem nobody will speak to you or return your calls. I took my business elsewhere. read more

I personally have never had worse customer service in my life. the managers are rude, and the prices are outrageous. there are numerous fees that are charged with no explanation from management. plus everyone that works there is considered a manager?!? they would rather sell your stuff which is their ultimate goal. i would never recommend this place, even to my worse enemy. read more

I can't believe anyone would say anything negative about Acorn storage.. I found Acorn storage listing on my computer while in New York ...I was so concerned about crossing the country and storing my household items sight unseen with a storage company. How thankful I am I took the chance with Acorn storage . The employees are warm and accommodating . I do not see Acorn having any shortage of clients because truly they excel in excellence I absolutely recommend you look here first because you'll rent and you will drive off once your storage unit is full feeling grateful you found Acorn storage .. read more

One star only because their $1 for the first month rent promotion is a sham. Once you go there to reserve a storage unit they will tell you that the unit that you want does not qualify for the promotion or they are out of that particular storage unit. My husband and I called different times and I always get the same answer. read more

I'm giving Acorn Self Storage a one star review because the person at the front desk was rude to me. I've rented a storage unit at this place 2 times, and I was going to rent a third time. Previously, they offered me a move in special, and when I inquired about a special they said they don't have one. which is fine, I completely understand. However my move is on a budget, so I said I was going to call around to see what other places were charging and if the had move in specials. The Acorn salesperson said "you should stay in the parking lot while you call, because you're not going to find anything cheaper" and as I was walking out the door she yelled "we'll see you back soon!", I do not appreciate her condescension. I did call around and found a 10X10 unit for less money per month and a move in special. I would have paid more and stuck with Acorn if the sales staff had not been so unprofessional. I recall professionalism and pleasantness on every other interaction I've had with the staff at Acorn, which is why I was returning for a third time. Unfortunately due to the poor service I received from them I will not be returning. read more

The staff was always very helpful and friendly, very clean and safe. I will use them again if I ever need to store anything.
