SUPER CONSCIENTIOUS employees and management!!! Recommended by a good friend (who was a self storage resident manager elsewhere in Antioch). My mom was moving so Cary S. recommended Bridgehead, saying that the businesses know each other and know who is more reliable and has an employee there all the time. The place is alarmed; if your unit is opened without the keypad entry, staff comes out right away to check your unit. Mom had 3 units at once (different sizes), then consolidated down to 1 unit. We always dealt with employee Minnie who is friendly, patient, thorough, and efficient; that's what we all want in customer service. Minnie always recognized me and my mom. :-D 7 days a week and the hours are good; a friend in Livermore complained that a place near him wasn't open on Sundays, which made me realize that other businesses can be quite a bit worse. The price was reasonable throughout our 12 years, and we felt at peace, knowing that our items were safe and never had water damage. It served my mom well. I know, 12 years is a long time, but that's what it took for my mom and now we cleared out our storage unit. read more

I've written a review when I initially moved into Bridgehead Self Storage. And here I am, years later, and the only way my review of this facility can change is for the better. If I could rate them with 10 stars I would. Minnie, Sal and now Linda are just the beginning as to why I still use the facility and why I HIGHLY recommend it. When you pull up to the gate, the facility does well to hide the expansiveness of its true size. In the years that we have rented there, at no time have we ever found it to be dirty or unkept. Rarely, and I mean VERY RARELY, have I ever seen even leaves that may blow around on a high wind day. There is never even dust on the ground even though the back lot is made of rock and dirt! The restroom is always stocked with hand soap, toilet paper and paper towels along with being clean at all times. Whenever I am there at night, regardless of the fact that my unit is in the back and rarely do I see another tenant near me, I always feel safe. At night, there is a security guard who drives the entire facility. And on a personal level, we have, on multiple occasions, fallen behind on our bill. Our unit could have been auctioned off each time. However, Minnie spoke to the owner on our behalf ensuring our payment. (Which we have obviously taken care of each time) The monthly rate not only is less than what we previously paid, but the unit itself is larger than our previous one. If you need a storage unit, and you want quality customer service, look no further. Bridgehead Self Storage is THE place! I pay a bit more per month at Bridgehead Storage than I did for the same sized unit at another facility owned by a national corporation, but Bridgehead is still the best deal because of what you get for your money that you won't find at other places, primarily on-site management, meaning there is a live person on the premises monitoring the facility 24/7. If an unauthorized person were to get on the grounds and try to access a unit at any time, an alarm notifies the on-site manager who can then personally contact law enforcement and stop the theft. There are cameras everywhere and long-time staff that pays attention to what's happening on the grounds. I always feel safe there, and don't worry about sketchy cars following me in after I punch in my gate code (which happened more than once at other facility, prompting me to leave and come back later because the office was closed and there was no one monitoring activity - it was scary). Most places promise "alarmed units," but GUESS WHAT? If its outside of office hours and an unauthorized person opens a locker, that alarm is useless! It does not trigger a call to police or do anything else to stop the thief. "Alarmed units" sounds good, but an unmonitored alarm is a useless alarm. Bridgehead is a very well run LOCAL business with clean, secure units and truly helpful staff. No online rent payment- snail mail, in person or by phone during office hours only. Minnie and Sal at bridgehead provide exceptional customer service , plus a secure environment to store all your stuff, plus a vehicle if you need it...I had my stuff there for over a year, and only had help from the staff at Bridgehead no matter what was going on in my life at the time. Everything is on ground level, they provide good heavy duty carts to move your stuff around if you need it. They have good office hours , they're easy to get a hold of if you need them. Recently, my husband and I moved from one storage facility to another. Having a "HUMONGOUS" unit, I was not looking forward to it. I found Bridgehead Storage online, and after calling NUMEROUS other facilities, being told no units were available in the size we needed, I took one last chance and made the call. IT WAS THE BEST DECISION I HAVE MADE IN AWHILE!! From the moment they picked up the phone, I was greeted with a voice that was abundantly kind, understanding and patient. I got the information I needed and told them I would call back. TWO DAYS LATER I called, and I wasn't very hopeful that they still had a unit available. But they did. When I arrived at their facility, I was first greeted by MINNIE. The conversation with her did not even feel like "business". It was more like two old friends catching up with one another. She conducted our business in a professional manner and was more than polite, understanding, patient and helpful. Once all the paperwork was done, I was turned over to RICHARD who escorted me to my unit so that I would know of it's location once I returned with my stuff. Riding in a gold cart with a stranger can sometimes be a bit uncomfortable. But not this time. I was once again treated like an old friend. BUT THAT'S NOT WHERE MY REVIEW ENDS.... The next day I was to move my stuff to Bridgehead. But I wasn't able to secure a moving truck. I didn't know what to do. I had to be out of my previous storage unit THAT DAY or else they would keep my stuff. So I called Minnie and Richard. Richard said not only would they provide me with a moving truck FREE OF CHARGE...but also a DRIVER! AND....he had that truck to me in less than an hour!!! Not to mention, the driver was not supposed to assist us in loading in any way. But try telling him that! He worked so hard for us. Helping us with all of the SUPER HEAVY stuff. I couldn't MAKE him stay in the truck! You would think my story ends here...guess again. Because MINNIE AND RICHARD just kept doing things for us FAR BEYOND any of our expectations. That first night, Minnie suspected we wouldn't be able to get everything inside by 8pm...so she extended our gate time until 8:30. And the next day, we went to organize the disaster and here comes Minnie. She asked if we needed the truck and driver again that day!! In the first 2 days of renting there...I was treated with a welcoming smile, a laugh or two, generosity beyond anything I could imagine, understanding, patience, acceptance and the smile and wave I get EVERY SINGLE TIME I pull through the gate brightens my day no matter how bad it might be. MINNIE AND RICHARD WE THANK YOU. And to their employers.... You should know the value of these two employees. People like them are rare and hard to find. Their type of work ethic SHOULD BE AND NEEDS TO BE RECOGNIZED AND COMPENSATED. Because they both go well beyond their job description. Put it to you this way... I have always used storage locations for years but when I moved to Antioch I was lucky enough to find Bridgehead by accident. Bridgehead is the most REASONABLE, cleanest and secure place with cameras. They even lend you there hand trucks within their property, lend you there truck with one of there employees to drive truck to bring your things to there location only. They have thought of everything and you don't feel like a number. I just bought a home but I would like to thank Minnie and her crew for always being kind and helpful to me. I truly recommend this place if you need a clean and reasonable storage location. Do your own research, you will not find a more reasonable place then here. Tell them I sent you. :} read more

This storage facility is great and the people who own and operate it are as well. The people are communicative, helpful and genuine. They guided me through the decision-making process for size of storage unit, unit location, and let me use an separate unit to downsize my belongings to move to a different size unit. They are a family owned company and I am an older woman. They helped me with moving some things when I wasn't able to do alone. The owners, the management, and staff are kind, concerning, and supportive. The facilities are clean well kept, and safe. I highly recommend their services.
