I will never rent from this company again! In the past I used them for storage and chose to use them again because never had any issues and after speaking with another company that changes rates monthly I chose them because I was told I had a set rate! 3 months after I started renting I received a notification my months rent is going up over $20.00 I called the office and was told there is a clause they can up the rent at anytime if corporate wants as long as they provide a 30 day notice! not good customer service at all especially to be lying to customers to get them to set up service! read more

Absolutely never rent from Public Storage. They are corporate capitalists and only care about having a cash cow for their investors, not in providing a service for their customers. Within 4 years my rent almost tripled, way above the going rate. They were going to raise my rent again up to $421 for a 10x15. I can rent two 10x20's for less than that. They also recently dolled up the facilities but couldn't invest in a couple more carts. There's only two old, rickety carts for that entire facility. Good luck getting one on a Saturday. read more

I don't have anything bad to say on customer service at this location, however, the rates have doubled in less than a year. I started renting my storage unit in Sept 2023 with a starting rate of $120, then it jumped to $167 within 6 months and now I've gotten an email saying it will be at $223 starting 9/1/24. That's $100 in a year! I will be moving my stuff out and not using Public Storage again if they are just raising prices every 6 months. read more

Be careful before renting with this company. I rent this storage unit in 2020. Only three or four times visited during the two years period. All the items were there from my office where I worked and lost my job cause of Covid19 pandemic period. I knew about this burglary incident on the 30th of January when I was there to get some items. This is a 13-story building and my unit (656) is on the sixth floor. The first week of January I was there to put some boxes. When I open the door of my unit I saw a water leak from the ceiling. Immediately informed the staff they not showed any regret but suggest to claim insurance. Also offered me another unit but not on the same floor. At that time only one elevator was working, so moving stuff to another floor is not easy for me. Again I thought that this unit is not safe so agreed to move to another unit, went to the office did the transfer on the computer then asked me to sign on the screen as I agreed. But I saw $ 13.00 appeared as due. I asked for the details because I already paid $ 240.00 for the month of January. She did not know what the balance is but I found out that is pro-rated for insurance premiums. I asked her to make it zero then I sign. She was not able to do the adjustment but told me that they will take care of it within a couple of days. I did not agree and told her that I don't trust this company. That day I had an argument with the said staff member because of the negative answers such as " I don't know", "that is not my job" and "I wasn't there" she gave me for each & every question I asked. Later that day I called their cooperate office and logged a complaint against this employee ( Kianna ). My next visit to the storage unit was on the 30th of January around 10 am. I had two padlocks but now it has a different lock. Went to the front desk the same employee walk with me to the unit with her key and opened the door. It was a mess. Then she told me that someone entered the building after hours and broken into my unit and some more. Am not sure of the date and no one informed me either. When I saw the mess I could not think of what to do. Both padlocks were found inside the unit. Whoever entered the unit cut the padlock with a power tool. I showed it to the police officer too. As per the staff, a thief entered only the 5th & 6th floors. My unit (656) is quite far from the elevator. On the 30th, I inquired about this from all three people who were present in their units on the sixth floor. The thief has not entered anyone's unit. I strongly believe this is an internal operation and told the police officer too. I immediately decided to vacate the unit because cannot trust this place anymore. Find a place nearby, rented a U HAUL van, and moved out. I spent more than seven hours clearing the mess. When renting the storage unit they asked only one question "What do you store in the unit"? My answer was "Some boxes". Also, the insurance premium is mandatory. If needed or not have to pay $ 15 per month. Now to make a claim I have to give all the details such as make, model, serial #, purchase date, purchase place, value, etc... But Kianna was telling me "claim the insurance, it is easy" on both occasions. It is easy for her to tell that as a parrot but claiming process is not that simple & easy. Every time I go to my bathroom I see this building thru the window. Until the 30th it was a pleasant site because was thinking that my stuff is there safely. But now my sincere wish is to see this building destroyed by fire in my lifetime. For that, I curse this 'Bloodsucking company' every day. read more

Price gouging! After 5 months of pretty expensive storage, they raised the price over $100 per month. That's a 25% increase for nothing - half the time the app doesn't work to open the right door, no upgrades and never staff there to help. We are cancelling and getting out of there. read more

'You Can't Use PODS At This Location'. We used a 10 x 20 storage unit for 3 years. Now that we want to move all our stuff across the county, we find out using PODS won't work at this location. It has to be delivered and removed on the same day, and there is only one location for the Pod near the exit. Pods won't guarantee a first thing in the morning delivery. So, our only option is to have the two 16' pods delivered at another location and rent a truck to move our stuff twice. read more

Want to charge me full month's rent when moving out on the 1st of the month. Called 2 weeks to inquire about any extra charges if I move out on the 1st & was told that I won't be charged if I move out on the 1st. Person on duty was rude & very unhelpful. Property was not secure first month as the secondary gate was open all the time. Property not kept up & had trash after dust storms. Elevators rarely function & others have complained, no immediate solutions. Stay away from corporate & look for local mom & pop establishments. Update 12/12/18: I found cockroaches in my boxes & lots of dust, their premises are not secure/kosher to keep bugs & elements out of my belongings. read more

Good storage facility except for the fact they raise the once you get in there, They raised the rate twice in the past10 months recently. Starting at $176 for a 10x10,, to $196,,, and just a month and a half ago to $226, which now includes a rent tax,,WTH is that. Thats $2.26 a sqr foot,, I rent a small office space 800sqr foot, for 0.85 a sqr ft and it has lights, carpet, a bathroom, AC, and windows! Time to do some shopping read more

The guy in the front office wasn't friendly at all! I was tire and frazzled from packing and moving when I arrived. I didn't know that the keys were in the unit, so I went to the office to inquire about the keys. I hadn't put my mask on yet, he asked me to put it on. I told him that I would and that I was fully vaccinated. I was also trying to pull up the email that contained all of the account information. The price is ok...not the best but one we are willing to pay. $82.00 for a 5x10 climate controlled basement unit. Booked online and got the same price that was advertised. Just got it so not sure about any increases yet. Basement and unit are clean. People I dealt with were nice and professional. 2 big issues on why I gave a three. No trash cans anywhere near the units. I've rented at places with dumpsters close to units so you can throw away random trash that happens when moving in. So, you see pop bottles or papers laying around by elevators because people don't want to take their trash with them. Invest in trash cans..... it can't be that much to provide. The 2nd issue and it's the big one. Had I known this prior to renting online I would have passed. The locks are proprietary. The lock mechanism isn't like anything I've seen. It's basically just the lock cylinder that, when the key turns it pops out little nubbies that lock the door. You CANNOT use a normal padlock. You HAVE to use this lock, at $20.00, to lock your stuff. Found this out after I rented the unit. Lesson learned. Will stay for a bit, if they raise prices I'll probably look around again. But would not rent from them again. read more

BEWARE OF RATE INCREASES!!! When you reserve your unit at the price you think you locked in- it will change! We only had this unit for 4 months before we received a $30 per month increase. No one at this store tells you anything about the fact that your rent will (not may) increase. Neither will the person who answers the phone at the customer service number which we called to inquire about the increase. We had to speak to a manager that informed us that it says specifically in everyone's contract that rates will increase. With the manager on the phone, we read the contract "cover to cover" to find it. We couldn't. We asked him what line or paragraph it was under, and his response was, "It's different in every state." This was a complete dismissal of the issue and showed that Public Storage purposely hides things from those that support them. Moving out of our unit ASAP! read more

I've rented a storage unit from this location before. That time, the person we spoke with (female, older, I believe she was the general manager) was awesome. And explained everything to a "T". This was a little over a year ago. This time. Wasn't so great. The guy (much older this time, stumbled over his words alot) didn't explain a whole lot and expected that I know everything from the last time we were in. Ookay. I get the jist of mostly everything, but would it have killed you to write our entry code on the card you give us..? Or atleast our unit number! He also brought it upon himself to try and sell us on each and every single freaking thing in their store. Even when I politely said after his first pitch "Oh, it's alright, we have so very many boxes, and sheets for everything, but thank you!!" He still continued to try and sell us on the boxes, and their "great deals" and the packaging material, and the mattress covers, and the furniture covers, and the bubble wrap. We had to decline his offers over 3 times. Knock it off, please. It would have also been great to know that the elevators turn off at 9PM. I came back to this location expecting the same amazing service that we did the first time. I haven't experienced the rate increase thing yet, but I'm sure that'll probably happen now. read more

Bubble wrap? Boxes? Mattress bag? Sure, Public Storage has it all! Although we never used this business for its storage units, we HAVE been SEVERAL times to purchase moving supplies and have always had awesome service. In a week we are leaving Arizona behind as we move across the country :( We have both done the cross country move alone but never have we BOTH moved TOGETHER! It is amazing how much stuff accumulates in just a few short years! We got on a big kick today and seemed to just blow through boxes and bubble wrap. We were in 'the zone' and never even looked at the clock when we grabbed the keys to head to Public Storage. Sadly we pulled up right when the gal was leaving. When she saw us she said 'ooh sorry, we're closed.' With puppy dog eyes we looked at her and said 'all we need is bubble wrap.' Then, with a smile she said, 'SURE, come on in!' With that, we bought our 2nd box-o-bubble wrap and the packing could continue! Thank you PUBLIC STORAGE for your awesome service and ability to serve a customer even at the stroke of closing time!
