This location is overpriced and you definitely don't get what you pay for here. The units are in poor condition and anything complain or suggest is answered with an excuse. Unfortunately there's mold in the C wing of this public storage. I got in contact with the public storage corporate and they came out and tried to convince me most of it was just old dust, although they did admit there was some mold in my unit. I tried to settle it with them before leaving a review because I think a business should be given the chance to make right with the customer. unfortunately the refund the offered did not cover the cost of moving out of the moldy storage. I attempted to explain to them the economics of losing customers due to a bad review displaying the mold was probably more expensive than just refunding me what I asked (wasn't even asking for 100% back only about 40-50% to cover moving cost out of storage) , but to no avail. They told me best they could do was 1 month back. Seems silly to me! 2 stars for an attempt at a fix, but falls short of stellar service. Just don't store here anyways it's moldy. read more

I feel like I missed the bullet. I booked and got my reservation code and all that. Only thing left was payment, which I was going to do before actually going there today (Oct 29, 2024) to drop off some items that I needed the storage for. Forgot the guy name but we spoke at 9:33am today on Oct 29, 2024. The way he kept telling me I need to pay now and trying to convince me to do it at that VERY moment threw me OFF! He didn't even want to get off the phone until I paid and I cut that conversation off immediately! I didn't like how he asked what I needed to keep in the storage room exactly and just in my business. This made me feel beyond uncomfortable and it felt shady af. I will be finding another location. Getting a unit was quick and easy. Got it all done same day. Using the app to access the gate and doors is pretty slick. However, after 4 months of payments, the rates just jumped 36%. We did not have a promotional rate, just the basic rate, so it came as a surprise. The "new" rate is a bit excessive for a 5x10 unit. Looking to move to another location for less than half the cost. Even if we get another 4 month bump, the price would be about 50% of what we are paying now. read more

Earlier this year I reached out to the District Manager for 4th & Rose to let her know that the on-site property manager was stealing from multiple tenant's unit & selling their items on Offer Up. He was storing the items in the property's elevator room & storage room next to his apartment. He told me that all the items were left in abandoned units & I learned the truth from another coworker. He's sold & possessed multiple electric bikes, a Simpson bike, paintings, a computer screen, a gold dancer pole, comic books, 2 Hermes perfumes, Baccarat Rouge 540, a computer screen, a 3pc patio set from CB2, a wood dining room table set and more. He would change his clothes & take the buyer on the property to 'sell' the items like it's coming from his personal unit. I'm not sure if the District Manager has informed anyone, but I'll provide photo proof for any items that I received from the on site property manager. read more

Property manager was very helpful, she made the check in process very easy! She even gave us water when we were working so hard to move in on time and let us borrow her screwdrivers. It was a decent facility, bathroom was clean and since it's gated we could prop doors open making the moving process easier. read more

Spider webs everywhere, very unprofessional and rude staff, horrible experience overall. There are wonderful facilities right down the street on Rosecrans that I recommend you use instead. I didn't even move in, there was no one on site to help me, and they still demanded that I pay for a month of storage even though I contacted them immediately asking for assistance when I knew the property was not adequate. I had to adjust my entire move schedule to get to another facility because this was so bad. Please do yourself a favor and rent anywhere else. You won't regret not being here. read more

This is a follow-up to my previous 5 star when I rented only one unit. I now have 3 and I'm preparing for a 4th. I don't have experience with competitors' units, but my buildings are immaculate, well lit, and everything from doors to gates, and equipment are in perfect order. But my best recommendation goes to the two remarkable women who appear to manage this huge facility---Rebecca and Maria. Their ability to remember customers and their activity is amazing. They listen carefully, write follow-up notes, and then do whatever they promise. When I first rented, I couldn't figure out the simple trick to open the rollup door. In spite of having helped countless customers with the same lame issue, Rebecca escorted me to the unit and demonstrated the action with a cheery attitude. It's unusual for a faceless, public corp to have such talented, caring personnel. read more

Will not be returning. Manager is unprofessional and rude. I waited 20 minutes outside of the leasing office because no one was inside. I needed carts to empty my unit and to speak to an associate to close my account. I called the office twice and both times no response. It was only after I went around the building that she came out of her car and said she was coming back for lunch. No sign on the door so how do customers know? Not to mention it was past 1pm....Then I asked if I could have the cart keys and she ignored me for several minutes, looking down at the computer. I asked about the prorated refund, as I was promised 6 months ago, and she said that it's not possible. I asked to speak to the manager and she tried to give me the Public Storage customer service line. I asked to speak to a manager in person and that's when she said "well I'm the manager." This location is not only the most expensive in the area but they also have very limited hours. The attendant is rarely available to loan out carts. Corporate customer service is terrible refusing to be flexible with requests. I moved in mid month and will be moving out mid month but have been in formatted that they don't do partial months and you must pay for the entire month. Rebecca, who I believe is a property manager in this location, has been the absolute pleasure to work with. We had a big stressful office move that required multiple units to store, and though there were some complications on our end with estimating how much space we actually needed, Rebecca was patient and gave out great energy throughout the whole process. She always took the time to explain processes to me, made great recommendations, and was always quick to call back. Even when there were small system issues that were out of her control, she was empathetic and went out of her way to help us and keep us updated. I can see how hard she works to maintain everything at this location, she deserves to be valued and recognized for her work. 10/10 would recommend this location because of Rebecca. read more

This place deserves 0 stars. No customer service especially since they are under construction. They broke my lock and stole all my expensive items. Cop says he gets a call from this location to report burglary about once a week and nothing is being done to fix the issue. Stay as far away from this trap as you can. Pretty sure some employees are in on it since nothing can be proven and it's supposed to be a secured location. Secured? Lol yeah right! They told me they can't setup auto pay then I was told to go back to store. Meanwhile I incurred $75 worth of late fee charges. I called customer service to get this waived since it was employee lack of training on how to set up auto-pay. Manager said under NO circumstance will they ever waive ANY fees even though it was their fault. Terrible customer service!!! read more

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. I phoned to notify I am moving out of the storage unit on the 13th of the month and inquired about a prorated charge. They informed me that I would still be required to pay for the entire month, even though the unit is empty. Walk in to pick up 2 boxes. The guy in front of me just got a storage unit, so the only employee working there has to escort him over. This means instead of ringing me up for the boxes, which would probably take 30 seconds, she asks me to wait while she locks up the store, goes with the customer to his storage unit, comes back, and fills out his paperwork. Had all my stuff stolen. They do not have any cameras but in the front of the complex-- considering what a large complex that is insane and incredibly. They caught nothing on the security cameras, which means the thieves hopped over from the back way and figured out a way to get everything over. When the police arrived the officer told me that he had been called out to this location over two dozen times. Never thought this would be a problem because of the area it was in and the facility itself, but I also thought that the company itself would be smart enough to install more than two cameras in the front entrance. After everything, I called to ask for a refund for the monthly storage bill at least for that month because my stuff had been stolen-- they declined. I then got a postcard the next month saying they were raising the price of the storage unit to $50 more a month. read more

My valuable wine collection was stolen out of my unit!! I've been there for two years thinking it was safe. Now, it's terrible -they have no video cameras or security system inside the hallways, they have sensors on the doors but they dont work, and the police have advised them to deal with their security. So, anyone can break in and take your things!! I filed a police report with El Segundo PD, and the officer said they have had more than 50 cases this year. Two reports a week. They have lackluster help, and the girls at the front desk play dumb like no one's been stolen from. This storage location is tidy and well organized, and the personnel is friendly and helpful. The only issue I have is that the carts are located all the way in front at the office instead of being available near the entrances and elevators to the storage units. Also, I had to wait 20 minutes for the staff to return from making rounds to get a cart, and then when I went to return the key they weren't in the office again so I had to wait another 20 minutes to get my driver's license back (you must leave with the office to use a cart). Overall, I'm happy with the most important parts...nice staff, secure location, good security, good lighting and a clean storage unit. read more

I should have followed my intuition on this place, but quite frankly, I didn't know where else to store my stuff. I kept my stuff there for a year and my unit was broken into three times. After the first two times, I switched units and then I got robbed again in the new unit. I switched out locks with the best ones I could find, but no enchilada. With no video cameras, this is a thieves paradise!!! Since they have so many break-ins, they have El Segundo Police on speed dial, so they showed up lickity split. I was also in good company because three other people were waiting to file their police reports as soon as I was done with mine. My advice. Leave your stuff on the street corner. I have just had a terrible experience with Public Storage in El Segundo. Apart form spending 20 minutes filling out paperwork with an uninterested and supercilious clerk (who got details wrong) they finally gave me a substantially different price to the one quoted on the phone and no flexibility when I asked for it regarding stating the storage rental when we moved into the unit. Their sign says 100% customer satisfaction is their aim -they achieved barely 1%-very poor service at every level. read more

Renters Beware....we used this facility for a few months between moves and there was a water leak that damaged several units, including ours. We thought it would be okay because you're actually required to get renter's insurance when you sign-up, but the entire experience has been a nightmare. We tried for 3 months to get a response from Sedgwick insurance and when we finally spoke to them they said that they were waiting on information from this facility. It has been 5 months and we still have not gotten our settlement! read more

After paying almost $30k to this company, they want to nickel and dime me for $8.47? There are so many storage units in this city.
