We needed a new patio heater for cooler nights. I was pleased to learn that South Bay Propane sells a few models of quality heaters at reasonable prices in addition to propane. After ordering on their website, the fully assembled heater and a new propane tank was delivered to our backyard in a few hours time. I am very impressed with how responsive this company is to their customers and the fact that I will never have to take an empty tank to a propane distributor for refills ever again. read more

Color me happy! We found our very own Hank Hill in the South Bay!!! Wonderful service! We got patio furniture that had a firepit and with a quick search on Yelp we found South Bay Propane! My husband called them and was able to place an order over the phone , they mentioned that they have an online ordering system as well, and within an hour Daniel, the owner came and installed the propane tank in our firepit and even showed us how to use it! We were so excited to try out our new firepit we used it tonight! Super friendly, professional and lightening FAST! Thank you!! Keep up the great work! Cheers! read more

Okay, I'm impressed. I've been sitting on an empty tank and in need of a new tank for weeks. What to do... Ughh, head to the big orange home improvement store and deal with that? Nope. Drive around town looking for the orange moving van store to get a tank filled? Nope. Order an overpriced (another COVID-19 casualty - high prices) tank from Jeff Bezos, then find a place to fill it? Nope. Look on Yelp for an alternative? Yep. South Bay Propane! Ordered a NEW filled tank, left out an empty tank and within 1.5 hours - SAME DAY, I'm all set! Reasonably priced, super convenient and effective communications via email - 5 stars, highly recommend. Thanks South Bay Propane! read more

Great reliable delivery service at a reasonable price. There's nothing not like about this.

I was looking for a propane patio heater and all the usual suspects were of course out of stock. A friend sent me a post from her NextDoor group that mentioned South Bay Propane had them. I could not be happier with their service. Communication was super quick to schedule a delivery when I would be at home. 100% worth the $15 fee to have the heater come assembled. They even took my collection of old one pound propane tanks from my tailgate grill to recycle for free! Even though I'm in Mid City, I would probably pay their delivery fee (it's free if your order is over $100) for them to exchange my tank just to keep supporting their small local business! read more

Great and convenient service! Made my life easier and was able to scratch one thing off my list to prep for a World Series BBQ. Placed the order when I was at work, scheduled the delivery, got a text when it was en route and another when it was delivered and installed. Far more easier than having to deal with a tank refill or swap from a gas station. South Bay Propane for the win! read more

WOW! Talk about superb customer service! I went online to the South Bay Propane website at 12:30 p.m. on a Saturday and requested delivery of two 20lb tanks for my grill. First time customer. Only 2 1/2 hours later and they've picked up my old tanks and replaced them with full ones. Louie the driver was great - offered to help me install the new one but that's the easy part so I did it myself. :-) South Bay Propane rocks!!!! Wow, I am so happy that I found this place! I love to grill, but as a single gal living in a townhouse it can be a complete pain to replace my propane tanks. South Bay Propane took care of all the heavy lifting. It seems too good to be true, but it's not!! It was so easy! I called and they sent me a venmo request for the price to swap out my propane tank. I paid and less than 2 hours later there was a full can where I left my empty next to my apartment door. Zero contact, very fast and super professional. I will never drag another propane tank to Vons or Home Depot to swap it out now that I discovered this service. South Bay Propane swapped my can for $25.... we'll worth spending another $7 bucks instead of driving to the store. read more

Called in the morning.. placed my order with an EXTREMELY nice agent.. SAME DAY about an hour later my exchange tank was at my doorstep in ES.. how awesome is that. Great, fast service, this was my first purchase of a propane tank and it felt as if it was a job to fill up or exchange a propane tank elsewhere. After looking through Yelp and Google for propane tank providers. I came across this business, I was hesitant at first. I called and was greeted quickly with pleasant response, booked the purchase online to be shipped to my house. I was out and about thinking it may take a couple hours, my ring doorbell went off maybe 30-45 mins after booking and it happened to be the propane tank dropped off! I will definitely order from them again, great prices and for the convenience you cannot beat it! Thank you. read more

South Bay Propane - Propane Near Me

After a frustrating trip through the South Bay searching less-than-friendly gas stations for propane, I resorted to Google-Fu to cure my grilling need. Thankfully, I hit on these fine folks, even though my immediate reaction was one of three thoughts: 1. They're out too, just like the rest of propane providers during the season of Covid 19 2. No way they're open on Sundays 3. No way it's reasonable priced I'm very glad to report these answers: 1. Nope, I ordered 2 exchanges 2. Not only are they open, but they DELIVER 3. $25 for each, which is cheaper than the last time I exchanged at the local gas station. One more thing - they delivered them in a half-hour. Thank you, highly recommended! read more

Absolutely seamless order and delivery from South Bay Propane. I abruptly ran out of gas when grilling yesterday (no gas gauge) and messaged them on Yelp to inquire. Daniel responded quickly and linked me to his website where I purchased a 20 lb tank swap and gas gauge. Since I was in the South Bay, they delivered the tank for free. All I had to do was leave it out front, they came and swapped it same day. So worth it. I will stick with this company indefinitely. read more

I couldn't be happier with the service from South Bay Propane. During normal times I find exchanging my propane tank to be a real chore. I am a small older women and lifting the tank in and out of the car is a problem, as is lugging it to my back yard which is up a flight of stairs. Because of COVID-19 I called these guys. Their exchange price is about the same price as my gas station charges plus a $10 delivery fee because I don't live in the southbay. Which I find to be very reasonable. The delivery guy work a mask and gloves. It was totally contactless. And best of all he was there 90 minutes after I placed my order. Even after COVID-19 is over, I definitely plan to keep using this service!! read more

What a great service! One of the tasks I detest the most is lugging my empty propane tank somewhere to exchange it and then lugging the filled one back to my grill. The delivery person was professional and kind enough to attach one of the tanks to my grill. I highly recommend them. read more
