Initially I visited this location twice-- to check out the property and later to finalize my rent…read moreagreement. (I could have done both in one trip but an online reservation provided about an $8 discount.) While scouting many of the climate-controlled storage locations in the area I I found this location was by far the cleanest and most well-organized in my immediate area. Both Haley and the manager, Sheryl, were very friendly and did a good job explaining the contract. They seemed on the ball and competent, something I didn't find from other employees at other storage locations I won't mention. While you may be able to set up the "base" account online you're still needed in the office to provide a drivers license and sign various additional forms. All said and done I have an agreement completed in about 15 minutes. You have to buy your lock there (a cylinder lock) that was fairly priced at $17, and you have to have insurance either through your own provider or through Public Storage.

I brought a storage with these people since July and had a family emergency. Had to take care of…read moresome stuff, hated it, caught it current only to go to my storage and it's still locked. Then I'd been calling them for like two weeks, asking them to give me a call. No one calls, then the next payment comes due and they can call me for that. I've sent emails to corporate. I had someone call me and tell me, you know, when I make the payment, there would be like some credit issued, just complete lack of communication and follow up. It's really frustrating and for me to go to get my storage after paying for it and still can't get into it is crazy

Christine is really nice and very polite; there's plenty of reminders to keep up with your storage…read more It keeps customers from getting blindsided with late fees or auctions. There's no mysterious fees during the move in and the lock is complimentary. Also access is 24 hours a day with no surprises like codes changing out of nowhere. The cost is a good value because it's rules are pretty basic...just follow them and everything will go smoothly. Not trying to slam the others but it's nothing like "snatch & grab" places like Public Storage or Extra Space Storage with extremely high turnover rates for auctions. Try it...drop my name if you go...

The assistant manager/Sherry doesn't have good customer service and she doesn't know how to speak…read moreto customers in a good manner and I experienced that tonight around 11:00 pm when I put my gate code in and entered the property went to my unit and found that I had been over locked sometime earlier today 4/4/2026 and I paid my bill in full online on 4/3/2025 my space shouldn't have been overlooked. So I went to the office and rang the door bell no one answered so I rang the bell on the apartment that is attached to the office also no answer then I called and left a message, so then I went to the apartment located at the back of property and I knocked very lightly Assistant manager came to door I ask if she could tell me why I'm overlooked she was very rude when she told me I didn't pay my bill, I then told her that is wrong I paid Friday asked her if she could call the Manager she then told me I would have to take that up with Christina and that she wasn't fucking calling anybody for me, then her dog came running after me like it was going to bite me and I told the dog to get away from my then Sherry told me fuck off mother fucker and to get the fuck away from her door and that she wasn't helping me with shit, so I walked back to my space and got in my car entered my code and left the property sent another text message and an email to the property in Broadway Blvd, Garland Tx.

I have nothing but good things to say about Taylor and her crew…read more My first encounter with them is when I moved out of TX. Unfortunately, I was moving out of state and had waaaayyyyy too much crap for the largest U-Haul truck they had (sounds like I might be a candidate for an episode of Hoarders, but I digress ;-) ). She was able to help me come up with a reasonable solution for the crap that wouldn't fit on the truck and had me move the stuff into a storage unit, going out of her way to make sure that my move went as smoothly as it could (and y'all know how that goes. It was July when I moved out of Texas, so I used a massive number of four letter words that day. Ok, back to the topic at hand). I finally returned, 6 months later, to pick up the rest of my shit, lol. Taylor remembered me and was super friendly, and her crew helped me navigate attaching a trailer to my truck to drag my crap 1000 miles across the country. If I come back to Dallas, I'd definitely use this location again. Keep up the good work! Side notes - during peak times this location is busy AF, so pack your patience. Also, the parking lot can be a little tricky, as it is small, next to a busy frontage road, and even the back road behind the building can be a little busy at times. Especially for those of us who can't navigate trailers when backing up well.

ONE STAR IS TOO GENEROUS…read more I've had more pleasant interactions with automated phone menus, DMV employees, and people actively trying to ruin my day. The customer service at the U-Haul desk was an absolute masterclass in how to make a paying customer regret every decision that led them through your front door. The attitude was spectacular, the helpfulness was nonexistent, and the customer service skills were apparently left in the same place as common sense. I walked in expecting basic professionalism. Silly me. Apparently, I needed to bring my own customer service representative, a therapist, and a blood pressure monitor. The level of incompetence and attitude was honestly impressive. If making customers feel like an inconvenience is part of the training program, congratulations. Your staff deserves a promotion to regional director of being absolutely fucking useless. I understand that customer service can be stressful, but if you hate dealing with customers that much, perhaps a career working alone in a basement with no human interaction would be a better fit. U-Haul is literally in the business of helping people move, and somehow the desk staff managed to make moving seem like the least stressful part of the entire experience. Management needs to seriously reevaluate who they have representing this company. A little professionalism, basic courtesy, and the ability to communicate without acting like someone personally offended your ancestors would go a long way. I'll remember this experience the next time I need a truck, and I'll happily take my business somewhere that understands the revolutionary concept of treating customers with respect. Congratulations, U-Haul. You managed to make renting a truck feel like being held hostage by someone who hates their job and wants to make sure everyone else hates their day, too. Absolutely fucking pathetic.
