Absolutely awful business with terrible management who's lack of care is evident and will cost them tenants. For starters, the code given to me was invalid and I've been caused to use a temporary number . Then, we're sent to the incorrect building by the staff members. After finally finding the building with our units, we found our unit to be occupied already. When we went to rectify this at the desk, we were told we'd have to pay a transfer fee of $30.00 for a new lock, after already paying $50.00 for the unit NOT ten minutes ago at the same desk. When asking the property manager to instead investigate and clear the unit, we're informed it'll be 72 hours before he'll get to it. (Blatantly not caring about his property or residents) On top of this, 2/3 security gates at the front were inoperable, wide open for anyone to come in or out. It was also noticeable many people loitering and hanging out around the parking lot. All in all, beyond dissatisfied and disappointed in this properties management and the managers conduct. I have still not heard about a resolution to my issue, and will be opting for a full refund. I will gladly update here if management rectifies the situation properly. read more

I'd give it no stars if I could. This is the worst damn storage facility in Dallas. They're unorganized and have the LAZIEST office staff with zero sense. There was a fire the first week of November and the elevators have been out since then (it's the last week of February). If your stuff is on the 2nd or 3rd floor, you're taking the stairs and can't use the carts or dollys, completely defeating all convenience and access. I was 8 months pregnant trying to get my Christmas decorations, but I couldn't because there's no operating elevator and no assistance unless you schedule it ahead of time on the weekend only. The building is closed when the office is closed because they can't get their stuff together. Even if you do schedule a time for assistance, the office won't write it down, then will claim you were scheduled for a different time. Even if you were actually there moving stuff around at the incorrect time they claim you're scheduled, they're not going to send someone to your unit unless you go in and ask. Then the lazy ladies at the desk will put it on the young guys doing the assistance to figure it out, even though it is not their mistake. The office people want to act like it's your fault or someone else's when they double book things and can't use their brain to do anything correctly. They try to push their jobs into someone else and suggest you open a ticket with the "We Care" department when they don't want to do their job. The "We Care" department is more like the "We Couldn't Care Less" department. If you call for assistance, they'll tell you someone will reach out in 24 hours. They won't. You'll have to call at least 3 more times over a span of 2.5 weeks to finally get that call. When you do, the blame will again get put on someone else. Here, they claim it's the city causing the delay for the elevators. As someone who deals with elevator repairs and timelines (I work in multifamily and apartment elevators go out all the time), I am certain the hold up is due to the incompetent workers in this office. RUN from this place and store your stuff somewhere else. read more

I've always liked Public Storage because the facilities are nice and clean and they have a lot of them that are climate control. Sadly, the facility I'm in had a fire on my floor on November 7, 2024. It is now November 22, 2024 and we are still not able to get in to get our stuff moved! While our stuff was not damaged by the fire, there is smoke and water damage. We are on the fourth floor, which makes it next to impossible to move our stuff out of the facility or to another storage facility. I'm having to call weekly and sometimes twice a week for an update and still nothing. When I called on Tuesday, I was told to call today, Friday, I did not identify myself, but the lady called me by name. I'm sure the phone system pulled up my name. She told me that they were working on it, but they still didn't have a timeframe. She was polite, but the tone of her voice indicated that she was irritated that I was calling again. I called her on it and she said she didn't have an attitude, but she definitely had a tone in voice that she was irritated that I was calling again! They don't seem to understand that it's very frustrating. I have some very expensive items that personally that have been damaged by smoke and water damage! There seems to be no sense of urgency to get it fixed so we can get our stuff out of there. They did volunteer to provide us with help to move our stuff to another facility or building, but they won't do that until the elevators are working. I'm almost 80 years old. I can't be moving my stuff from the fourth floor when a majority of it is books. I would definitely reconsider where you store your stuff because Public Storage definitely doesn't seem to have any sense of urgency to accommodate the people that have valuable stuff in their building that could be growing mold among other things!! Sadly there is absolutely no one you can contact at corporate, the only one you can talk to is your local manager, and to be honest they really aren't much help! I just find it very hard to believe that a corporation cannot get this fixed in almost 3 weeks. They didn't even come in to check the damage to the elevators until week two. I realize that the office personnel are tired of people calling, and I'm sure some people expressing their anger. But they also have to realize these are valuable personal items and there seems to be absolutely no sense of urgency to help their customers except excuses and to tell you to call back next week!! I'm a very frustrated customer that is probably going to lose some very important things, to me, due to mold and water damage because of their lack of a sense of urgency to get this situation fixed!! **BEWARE: RAT INFESTATION** DO NOT RENT HERE - RAT INFESTATION - FECES AND EXTENSIVE DAMAGE If you are a current tenant, go check your units. If you are thinking about renting here, DONT! My family stored our furniture at the Public Storage on Riverfall from March 2021 - July 2021. We entered our unit and found RAT POOP AND PEE, as well as scratching and chewing, all over our furniture. We have to throw out our mattresses, dining room chairs, headboards, and so much more. Not to mention my wife is 8.5 months pregnant and was exposed to diseased rat feces. Public Storage management could not have worse customer service. The District Manager, Danya Bennett, is cold hearted and did not care about the damage we suffered due to their infested facility. They have done nothing but try to point the finger at us. We had a sealed jug of distilled water and a sealed bottle of white vinegar (a rodent repellent) in our unit, which they are calling "food". Ridiculous. That is clearly not what has caused their rat infestation issue. And FYI the associated insurance they ask you to pay for is not worth the paper it is written on, but that's a whole other topic. I don't usually write these reviews, but felt consumers should know so that they don't have to go through what our family has gone through. Not only does Public Storage have a rat infestation that they have turned a blind eye to, they have the worse customer service I have ever experienced. This is a good location and fairly well kept. BUT renter beware. The prices can change everyday. Wednesday it was $15/month walk in. Less that 24 hours later is was $30 and on the main website it is $37/month. I've always thought the storage was a profitable business for the owners and a shell game for renters. This proves it!! Start shopping early and avoid the first and last weeks of the month. Also August and September are pricey months because they are milk the college students for all they are worth. WHAT A RACKET. Pubic storage does a great job with one big exception. On a positive note, I feel like my items are very secure, the staff is friendly and I have never had an issue getting to my items when needed. Don't be fooled by intro prices. First rate increase after 6 months, just had my second rate increase after a year of signing up. Started at $145 and my new rate is $174 a month. That's a 20% yearly increase!! I did call and talk to someone before I posted, and they said rate increases come from corporate and there is nothing that they can do. read more

this is my first time using a storage facility. I was unimpressed with the timing of elevator due to... it is a moving storage... why would the eleva close soo fast SMS we are asked not to hold elevator open or it may become inoperable.... what senses does that make? They also needed to hold my id while I used a case to unload things from the moving truck that was RIGHT in front of them. Howeve, I love the cleanliness, space, and facility. read more

Surprise! You must purchase their proprietary $25 lock. Surprise! Show up during office hours, and there is no cart. Call the office and wait for a cart to be brought to you. Surprise! Show up after the office closes with a truck full of stuff and there is no cart, and the air-conditioning is not working. Was told they lock them up at night otherwise they will disappear. But they have cameras. Maybe consider another location in an area where carts do not "disappear". Surprise! Rental rate has dropped in half. I have had my unit one year and have visited maybe 4 times. Clean property. AC has worked all but one visit. read more

I have no access to my storage unit since all elevators and stairs are out of order. I am still being charged a hefty 100 dollars for storage while not having access. They did not send an e-mail at all and just posted signs on the inside. I didn't find out until I drove 30 minutes down and showed up with movers today and had to wait outside for over an hour and they never opened the office while being 9 months pregnant. There is no stair access in the event the elevators are closed since the stairs are locked as emergency exits. I am very disappointed about not being informed that my storage is inaccessible and still being charged rent and wasting time money and gas for a move. read more

First the lights towards the back of the property were not working for the first four months I was renting there. Second came the zero cart availability. What storage does not allow for carts to be used? AND no notification of this change! So in 101° heat in Texas summer time, I was having to walk the entire length of the property to try to retrieve a cart that they now have stationed in the office. However, most of the time, they're gone! The property manager Raneeja of course went into her speel about how people were stealing them, and keeping them in their units. When I said, that has been going for years, and they can easily view on their cameras who has put a cart into the unit, and fine then, and/or evict them with a fair notice, she didn't really have a good answer. When I spoke to corporate about this, it seemed more like the property managers didn't want to take the time to return the carts to the proper buildings when people would leave them out, once again resulting in no carts, which leads me to believe that may be the cause that peeps are keeping them in their storage units out of sheer frustration, since we were never told when signing a contract that we had to carry our own carts in our vehicles, and load and unload our vehicle in the pitch dark when they decide it's ok to keep the lights out past dark. Also, only the men's room was available. And one final HUGE complaint. If you pull out towards the office area, you will have to use your gate code if the gates are closed going out. BE AWARE! There is a cement blockade, that you will NOT be able to see, and will you are guaranteed to hit your car into it, causing major concern to the underneath of your car! This property has been repeatedly told of these issues, and has not fixed or easily put up warnings to their customers. Instead, they sit in their offices, and have clear view of this issue! The final straw for me was when they shared of a disabled vet storing the cart in his storage and they shared with me that they evicted him, AND said that he did not look disabled to them! This, along with the rate increase of $95. - $125. was MY final straw. Leaving the property one final time, and seeing others struggling with things without a cart to assist, I had to report this to the general public. I have told them that I am sure ALL storages have issues with carts disappearing. This cannot be a new issue, and that's what their insurance is there for, as we as there was nothing in my contract that read, I would be punished for other people's behaviors, and not have carts to use while storage at that facility. Their only comment was that it was courtesy to supply carts! I've NEVER rented from ANY storage unit that did not supply carts. And, NO! YOU, as THEIR CUSTOMER, GIVING THEM YOUR BUSINESS should NOT be expected to have to carry a cart in your vehicle, in case you need something from storage! Total BS! read more

Very clean building. Elevators so easy to move in and out of the floors above 1. We had our belongings here for about a year and never had any issues! Only complaint is that carts are only available during office hours so that stinks. But definitely not a deal breaker!! First of all, I notice the staff watching me before I was approached by the manager today. He told me I was in violation of my contract and they could terminate for lottering on their property. Because I was spending too much time charging my phone, so I can get directions from my storage. Plus, he told me to go to Denny's or somewhere else because I was making their customers and staff uncomfortable. He lied about telling me that customers complained about me because he said, they said the lady in the white car.Also, he mentioned when I entered their property at 6 am and how long I waited. I am going to move my property out by the first of April, and I will never in my life do business with Public Storage again. read more

Both elevators have been out of service for 3 days with no resolution in sight. This is absolutely ridiculous when you have a unit on the 4th floor. Every time I call to inquire about the issue, there are no answers available. We have half of our stuff already moved into the unit and have been sitting on a U-Haul for 2 extra days now because we are unable to unload. Customer service at the facility said "I can't fix it myself, there is nothing I can do but call my boss." That is not an answer. At this point they are basically holding our valuables hostage. I even asked if we could temporarily have a unit on the first floor just so we could unload the rest of our belongings and the answer was no. Horrible customer service read more

This location has really went down in customer service and cleanliness. Back in 2015 my husband rented with a short blond lady who was absolutely awesome. The price was high but she was so nice and helpful that we went ahead and rented. We went in today to get a space for our son and my first thought was .....it is nothing like it was in may of 2015. Asked where the short blond lady went and they said no one has ever been there that looks like that. I will have to find the info from when we rented . because she was awesome compaired to what it is now. read more
