Every time I've needed assistance, she has gone out of her way to help me and has always treated me with respect and understanding. Even during times when things weren't easy for me, Barbara was always sweet and willing to work with me. She never made me feel uncomfortable or judged, and that really meant a lot to me. However, over the course of a year and a half, the monthly cost increased to more than $220.00. We called multiple times asking if the rate could be reduced. Each time, we were told that they had already lowered it twice and there was nothing more they could do. I also tried contacting the corporate office, but the representative I spoke with appeared to be working remotely and communication was difficult. According to the representative, notices about the rate increases were mailed to us. Unfortunately, we had moved and forgot to update our mailing address, so we never received those letters. Why not email us or send a text!!! That said, we didn't need a letter to notice the increases--we saw the higher charges every month on our Chase bank statement. Because of these constant price increases, we have decided to move to another storage facility. Unfortunately, the cost of relocating our belongings will now exceed $1,000, making the situation even more frustrating. Based on our experience, I would strongly caution others to carefully review the terms and potential rate increases before choosing Public Storage.
