Within six months, Public Storage acquired the location, and everything changed for the worse. From the moment Public Storage took over, the rent increases became relentless. What began as a $140 monthly payment has ballooned over the years to a threatened $520 per month if I do not vacate by June 1st, 2026. These increases have occurred roughly every six months to a year, without meaningful justification or consideration for long-term customers. It is hard to interpret this pattern as anything other than predatory pricing designed to push tenants out once they are financially strained or emotionally invested. My situation is not just financial, it is personal. I lost my father in 2020, and I moved his entire household of belongings into this unit during one of the hardest periods of my life. The emotional weight of sorting through a lifetime of memories made it difficult to move quickly, and Public Storage's aggressive rent hikes exploited that vulnerability. Instead of rewarding loyal, long-term customers, they appear to target them. In an attempt to find relief, I even explored employment with Public Storage, hoping that being an employee might offer some stability or discount. What I discovered instead was a work environment that demanded unreasonable workloads from staff, particularly those facing financial hardship or limited employment options. The job expectations were excessive, and the culture felt exploitative. I left before completing training because the environment itself reflected the same predatory mindset I experienced as a customer. During that interview process, I also learned something unsettling: more than 20 years ago, when I first rented from Public Storage in my early twenties, my lock was cut and all my childhood belongings were stolen. Nothing was recovered. That experience stayed with me, and I never intended to rent from Public Storage again. Unfortunately, their acquisition of CubeSmart forced me back into their system without my consent. Public Storage operates like the "big-box store" of the storage industry sweeping in, rebranding facilities in their signature orange, and then implementing steep, recurring rent increases with little regard for the people depending on them. Their business model seems built on taking advantage of customers during vulnerable life transitions: deaths in the family, moves, divorces, financial hardship, or other major disruptions that lead people to seek storage in the first place. After years of loyalty, thousands of dollars spent, and countless attempts to discuss my situation with staff, including the general manager, the response has consistently been dismissive. The message is essentially: "This is how we operate. Take it or leave it." I am tired of being taken advantage of. I will never recommend Public Storage to anyone, and I will continue to caution others about their misleading, predatory practices. Storage companies should support customers, not exploit them -- especially when those customers are already navigating some of the most difficult moments of their lives. UPDATE: (as of 12pm on 5/28/26) However, I am now after this review in current negotiations with my Property Manager who seems to want to treat me like a human being and not just an income stream. If this goes well, I'll be moving out in about a month as opposed to feeling like I need to organize a small group of movers to get me out by the end of the month. I do appreciate those employees who work for Public Storage having more understanding and grace than their corporate partners.

stay away!!!! gate is wide open and no telling when they will close it so there is no security and…read moreyour vehicle is at risk for theft. 5:45 am today the gate got stuck from opening. it opened maybe 6ft wide. i called the emergency line and they said repairguy will be there in 15-20 min. almost an hr later he rolls in. then 20 min later to open it. i called later during the day to confirm the gate is fixed and i was told it was fixed. i was told a dump truck hit the gate. that was a bold lie, that gate wasnt damaged at all. it was still on the tracks, not bent or falling over. the real reason the gate wasnt working is because the chain that is on the gate that gets turned from the machine was bone dry, no lubrication on it at all. when that chain isnt lubed it will bind and strain the machine causing it to not work. how do i know this, i ran a storage facility for 20 years and i had the same mechanism on my gate. anyway, i show up at 8pm to find the gate wide open. i called the emergency # and no answer. i get a call back and a man claiming to be the owner telling me about this dump truck at 4am hitting the gate. he told me that if im not patient for them to fix the gate that i am being evicted tonight and he is disabling my code and towing my vehicle out. that is against the law. in order to evict they have to serve the proper paperwork by state law and give "x" amount of time to leave since ive already paid for nov 2025. now at 8pm i was talking to a customer that was exiting and he told me that at 4am he was there and the gate was stuck and he was calling them because he is now late for work because he cannot access his truck. funny how he didnt mention a dump truck there at 4am hitting the gate, hmm, thats because no truck was there at 4am hitting the gate. they just lack maintenance on their gate and dont care about their customers. this is how they treat customers. they leave customers with no security when you are paying for that gated security. so i strongly urge you to rent elsewhere as you will not have any security here as this gate is wide open as i am typing this review.

I own a business and this one day, we happened to have to work late to complete the job. I called corporate and explained the situation. Instead of helping me, they did worse than the opposite , and put in the system to block me from getting an emergency code for One day! So instead of helping me, they doubled down and made it more difficult for me, more difficult than if I would have never called them in the first place!! They said I could call in the morning and take it up with the locals at my storage.. um they are the nicest people and YOU are the ones not helping me NOW!! Don't give them the burden in the morning!!! So hey my guys are out 15 plus hours making money to pay for this storage and their reward is to not be able to access their cars to go home to their families. I understand and this is not an everyday occurrence. But they could help this one time and they chose not to!

Nice people, nice facility but they lack transparency…read more I called looking for temporary storage and asked if they prorated their monthly fee. They answered:"of course". I got there on the 21st of April and paid $127. May rent was $300, and I left on May 3rd and they refused to prorate. I rented a space for 12 days and paid $427. Granted I should have read the contract but I asked the specific question if they prorated and they said yes. Their explanation was we prorated you in not out. Also, expect 30 minutes every time you go into the office. Principal is more value than money. I would not recommend this place. I would drive to find straight forward and fair pricing.
