At this point it's hard to recall when every size and style of storage container wasn't available everywhere you turned, at any retailer. But, it wasn't which, is what made the Container store blast off like a rocket. I personally didnt shop there because the premium they charged always made me think twice and It was more important for me to save money. These days, the most important thing is convenience, for me. That includes the right storage container that is esthetically pleasing and possibly designed for the very job I need satisfied. I find it hard to believe, The Container Store has survived all these decades with the feverish low price competition but, they have. Now, I am an occasional customer that loves the convenience of walking in and having a smiling helpful staff member guide me to my solution.

Three different employees helped us find things and also pointed out a misconception we were having about one of the products we were trying to buy, which was GREATLY appreciated. They have some fantastic options for stocking stuffers or small gifts if you're a big fan of micro-giving like I am (like at the office or just a little basket of thanks or congrats gifts)- anyway I enjoyed my experience at this well organized and well stocked store. As luck would have it, I decided to finish out some built-in kitchen cabinets with Elfa sliding baskets, sadly without the Elfa sale happening. Since this built-in sideboard has a 17" depth, I am limited in my choices. I was greeted when I entered and I wanted to just walk around and see what was new since my last visit at another store. Another team member followed up and she was very helpful in selecting the rolling baskets we needed to match what we installed over 10 years ago. I don't know why we didn't do them all at the same time, but it was probably cost prohibitive at the time during our kitchen remodel. We made our way up front to the checkout counter to wait in line, but our sales lady was able to scan and tabulate and finalize our purchase right in our cart! Pretty cool! We didn't need any bags so we were on our way in no time! My receipt was emailed to me and we went home and installed the rolling baskets within the hour! When my parents came to the store location, they met Julie Reed who was very pleasant & had a warm…read morepersonality. My father was purchasing new drapes for their house per my mother's request. The total came to around $5,500. Julie came to the house several days later to do the measurements & at that time she didn't advise them of when the drapes would be ready for install... okay cool, because it's difficult to estimate when that vendor will have the product ready. On the day of the install she called to advise us that the installer was having an issue at the customer's house before us & couldn't make it that day. Okay cool, totally understand. The guy doing the install came on 8/13/24 & arrived 15 minutes before she told us that he would be there which we appreciated. During his work process, he discovered that the measurements on one of the two sets of drapes was off by 1 ¼ inches & advised my parents that he would need to have it sent to the seamstress & should have it back in about a week. Okay, so Julie screwed up when doing the measurements... no biggie... we're all human. Here's where my complaint comes into play... now you would think that since my parents were dealing directly with the owner of the business that she would have called my parents to apologize for the inconvenience, right?!?! Nope... no phone call or even a text message from her. So today * 8/22/24 * I asked my mother if Julie had contacted them with an update. Nope. No attempt at communication. Now my parents are both 79, have a passive personality, & do everything possible to avoid confrontation so knowing this, I knew that I needed to take over the situation. I called Julie at 4:15 & was told, "Oh the guy is coming to install the drapes tomorrow!" I replied, "umm... TOMORROW?!?! Don't you think you should have contacted us to let my parents know?!?" "Oh yeah, I guess I should have called." "Julie, are you serious? So, if I hadn't called you today then the guy would've just showed up tomorrow to do the install & what if we weren't home?!?!" At this point, I let it be known via the tone of my voice that I was aggravated. She stutters & tells me she's driving & doesn't feel comfortable talking to me on the phone while driving. I told her that tomorrow wouldn't work for us since we have several appointments & that she needed to call me back so we could discuss this further. It is now 5:10 & she hasn't called or texted me yet. I know this is long & I apologize, but I felt I needed to provide all the details so that the people reading this understand why I'm saying that Julie's lack of customer service & appreciation is pathetic. My parents spent $5,500 of their hard earned money with Julie & she cannot make a slight effort to ensure that my parents were satisfied customers?!?! So, IMO, if you have a busy schedule & you value your time, do not do business with this place.

I had new wooden shutters installed in every window of a very large house and overall they look ok…read more The communication throughout the entire process was poor. The installation was subpar at best. They hung 2 of the shutters so close to the door handle I couldn't get my hand on the handle. They came back and moved those two after not showing up several times when promised. Now the shutters and doors each have several visible nail holes. Also some of the shutters keep opening because they aren't making adequate contact with the magnet. They also seem very loose. I don't recommend.
