Charlotte was recommended to me by my one of my previous stagers, who moved out of the DFW area. I looked at a number of stagers, but what I liked about Charlotte initially is that she had her own decorations and furniture. It's common in the DFW area for stagers to rent the furniture, which means they charge multiple month minimums. I have numerous investment properties and when I sell one, I want it to go fast. I don't like paying for time I won't need. I also know that staging is critical to the sales process. Most buyers don't have the imagination to picture what a home could look like when it's empty. Rooms tend to look smaller without some furniture, and flow doesn't seem as natural. Back to Charlotte. After she did the staging, I was more than impressed. It was perfection. I didn't have a single suggestion. She even pointed out things that my contractors had missed, (this was a flip), so I made them come back and fix them. She has a great eye. The place looked fabulous. How fabulous? This house was in Plano, TX, which admittedly is a hot market. However, in 48 hours, we had 55 scheduled showings. In the first 24 hours, we had 4 offers. We were priced fairly, but not too high. The offer we accepted 24 hours after putting it for sale was 6% over asking and in cash with a 7 day close. Think staging with Charlotte Lloyd isn't worth the money? Think again. I sell my homes to make money and staging has always gotten me a higher price and a faster close. And Charlotte is one of the best stagers I've seen.

I knew the table would be a great addition to my living room, which I was redesigning at the time. She responded almost immediately to my initial inquiry and provided specs and details about the piece in order to help me make my decision. I purchased both an end table and the coffee table, which both arrived within 3 business days of placing the order! Both pieces were very easy to assemble with simple instructions. In addition to the tables, the Owner took the time to understand what vision I had for my re-design. After sharing a few images from my Pinterest board and photos of my living room, she went to work by recommending pieces that fit the design scheme. I ended up spending hours myself trying to share my direction for my dinning room, sourcing my own products, and basically arguing with Michelle to get my vision to come to life. Her communication is super delayed and very unprofessional. Multiple times she was AGGRESSIVE and rude as if I was doing her a favor when I was paying client. I am part to blame as stylistically she was not the best that I interviewed, however, I wanted to support a woman owned black business. She ended up terminating my contract after I paid the first installment - all I got out of it was her sourcing a dinning table. It was just the worse professional experience I've ever encountered. As someone who works with influencers and designers, I had no choice but to leave my first negative review ever. Her assistant Karyn is a God send. Super sweet and responsive and also would go above and beyond to make sure your needs are heard. Please do your research before working with any designer. I was thankful it was only an $800 mistake, but the time spent I could've done the entire room myself with out the trauma and waist of money.
