I recently moved into a new town home in Irving in mid 2011. As a single man in my early 40s, I wanted to decorate the place with a sense of my personality, or maybe better put -- I wanted my place to reflect the personality I WANT to have. I decided to do something I've never done before, and utilize the talents of a local interior designer to help me fully decorate my new home. Kira spent time carefully understanding my style, budget, and timeframe to get it all completed. She drew up a plan with milestones every month, building a complete project plan for my project. All these things I would expect of any good designer, but the proof of her real value came in the execution of her plan -- here's where Kira's true value shines. Over the course of several months, Kira scheduled contractors to paint, hang wallpaper, build shutters, perform electrical/audio/video upgrades to my place, and on and on. Kira herself spend countess hours shopping purchasing furniture, decorative items, staging my place, and tediously replacing items that didn't have the proper aesthetic she wanted. She even arranged to have large custom art pieces created to give my place a real customized look and appeal that I could personally identify with. The end result is a home that is absolutely fantastic! She was able to create a place that literally drops the jaws of my guests, and makes friends and family take out their cameras and start snapping photos. And I live there! I can't believe what a great job she did, beating my expectation and obliterating the best I could have accomplished without her. I also realized, when she was wrapping up the bulk of the project, that with her decorator's knowledge and contacts across the city, she saved more than her total design fee. If I decorated my place without help, it would have cost much more and certainly would not been as nice as what Kira was able to accomplish. (I'm not saying you can expect the same level of savings, it all depends on the job, but that's what happened with my project). So all in all, utilizing the talents of Kira for designing and decorating my town home is up there with one of the best services I've ever utilized -- in my entire life. (OK, second to maybe health insurance or something life-critical, but you get the idea...) Check out her website, there are some photos of my place on her blog (as of the writing of this review), and I cannot emphasize that if you're looking for decorator, deigned, home stager, you should put Kira on the short list of those to speak with in the Dallas area. Ray, the head of the company, is extremely knowledgeable and very kind. They have an interior designer, Nohemi, that has a great eye, and we loved her design portfolio. Our budget and time frame ended up being a little tighter than we had originally hoped due to some required foundation and electrical work, so we had to scale back our project and go with a smaller business. However, we are hoping when we do our next project, which will be the kitchen, that Ray and Nohemi will be available. Would love to work with them beyond just the design phase.

YES, their were Construction delays and hiccups along they way. It's called Construction for a reason. But what we love about HDP is they stand behind their work and they are as honest and trustworthy as you get. Just incredible people. It is 2025 and we again have a few projects we want to do and some things we want updated. Ray was able to reach out to the subcontractor who worked with us during our 2016 remodel to make changes to our home security system and cameras. Seriously, almost 10 years later. We had a custom built steel gate installed in 2016. Ray still knew who built it and knew what would be involved at adding a new coat of paint. Ray also helped with moving us over to one system like Ring, Nest,or Wyze. Instead of a hodge podge of various products. This has been huge. During that process he reminded us that the new code requires 3 smoke/fire/carbon detectors. We have referred several friends to HDP and allowed individuals to tour our home and inspect his work. Because we continue to be that impressed. Last week we again gave him a long list of normal wear and tear items to more extensive projects and he submitted his review timely and accurately along with a couple suggestions. Then when I did decide to buy since they are still a family owned business and I wanted to help, they WAY overcharged from the price that was on my item. They tax a lot, and truly their service is horrible. I really hope they can learn to be friendly to their customers and treat them like family because that's how family owned businesses stay operating.
