The owner, Jennifer Martin, said they were not returnable. BUT she was so kind as to keep them and said she'd work out something with the owners (she is actually the owner U-Haul said but they are inveterate liars there at Skillman Storage). Long story short: she said she got the approval for a refund and said she had processed it. Well, she had not. So she kept the merchandise and also the money. They are thieves. When I found out what happened, she first said U-Haul screwed up and she'd look into it. Now, she keeps saying she's going to refund the money and even said she sent a check. Nope, never got it. Avoid this place. You just never know if they're going to overcharge your credit card and you'll be out of the area to do anything about it. Their BBB ratings are bad, too. And she wouldn't respond to my complaint through them. Avoid.

We did receive as the advertised 50% off for the first three months then two months later storage king USA raised the rate to $98 in the excellent manager at the local storage King compared the going rate at other storage places for my unit size and was able to give me a fair permanent rate of $79. Stephanie has been excellent to work with in terms of accessing our unit helping us with moving in logistics for my realtor, very satisfied

The rent goes up fast!…read more The facility was clean and easy to access. The rate for the 5x10 unit was $51/month in August 2024 (after a $41/month introductory rate for three months). They increased the price quickly. In May 2025, they raised the rent to $66/month, and they just notified me that on February 2026, the rent would increase to $86/month. That's a 30% increase every 9 months, a 70% increase in a year and a half. I'm moving my stuff out before the next rent increase goes into effect. If I were to do it again, I would only consider Public Storage for short-term rental (less than a year).
