This company takes advantage of their customers. We've had a unit for over 4 years, always paid on time, have always dealt with the increases, until now. We received a notice that our rent was going up 30%. When we called to ask for a waiver, we were told sure, you'll definitely get it because of your history with us. They continuously use the term "valued customer", which is clearly a joke. We never heard back, even though we were supposed to receive an email verifying the waiver / decrease back to what we have been paying. The going rate for a unit right next door is way lower than what we pay. When we asked them how this is fair, that new customers are more "valued" than us, we were told that moving next door and starting a new account is an option. Seriously? They're vultures. They never bothered to tell us that the increase would remain, and now we have half a month to move, when we could have had the full month. DO NOT rent from them. Customer service is garbage, and they don't "value" anything about their customers. read more

This facility is managed extremely well. The on-site manager is always friendly, helpful and puts in extra effort to make the move in/out process as simple as possible. I recommend renting space here over other providers. read more

Terrible customer service on Peterson and Pulaski. Raised my rate by $20. Less than 6 months. They are price gouging.

I have my staff here from like December 24th, after couple weeks a I asked the person in the office to replace the light bulb and he said he did not have it, ok I understood and I told him the next time i come i will ask again to change it again and he said they will not do it. I told him that I need light to accommodate my things and that they have to provide the service for which I am paying. He said that they paid for the electricity and I only paid for the storage space and that it was not their obligation to offer electricity. I just needed to change the bulb that already exists and I was disappointed therefore this will be my first and last month here! lousy customer service. read more

Finally spoke with the Manager John Harris What a total ass... He tells me there is no way they could have switched my locks because I collected my key in Oct of last year... Right... Also told me "We don't ProRate leases"... Hmm yet you prorated me when I started my lease.. says we do that to get everyone on the same monthly schedule.. My response "Ohh so you do prorate" what a contradiction. But you have my money and your customer service is trash. Of course you're the best when starting a lease. Ummmmm don't put your stuff here. Two of my units were broken into. The door was forced open without breaking the lock. I found someone's golf clubs in my unit. I don't know where they came from. District manager didn't bother to call me back after I left him a message. How difficult is it to call back a customer? Maybe he's too busy calling all of the other customers back who had broken doors as well. I counted 7 just in my section of the building. No cameras anywhere and no security. They're too cheap to pay someone $15 an hour to stay on site 24/7. Unacceptable. Don't support public storage or this property. read more

I have used this public storage site at Pulaski and Peterson for 11 years. Today after spending thousands of dollars over the years at this site we moved out and cancelled the account. At the gate my daughter had trouble getting into the gate. She went inside and asked the guy if he could help. He was extremely and unessisarily RUDE! This place is not cheap and the lock had once been broken on the unit. Why did this happen at all. Check out storage units before you choose and ask the right questions. I never set foot on the property. Made a reservation, paid in advance. Move in was set for December 1. Could not use the space after all, so I set a "move out" date for December 14, even though I never moved in. Three weeks later they are assessing a second months rent and a late fee. I NEVER WALKED IN. EVER. But they want to be paid for another month. Incompetent or dishonest; either way, BAD BUSINESS. read more

They sold me the belongings after one week of lien notice. I called them many times and leave them voice mails but nobody returned the call. Read twice the contract and make sure you keep it safe! Right know I'm trying to get a copy of my contract but nobody answere the phone! I finally got someone at the phone and they charged me the full amount and I paid but in reality my storage was already sold! read more

He knows his job well, explains the entire process and options very clearly. Also the units are easy to get to and you can drive right up to your unit, making it's use very easy. Alfonso who works there is great and helped me the best he could. I reduced down from a 10x30 unit to a 10x15 and I was suppose to get a refund on the bigger unit minus one (1) day rental since I was moving to a smaller unit on the first of the month. Needless to say its been 10 days and no refund has come my way. When I called the 800 customer service number they told me only the District Manager Salvatore was the only one who could do refunds for the region. I have left him two detailed messages with NO response. I am now calling my bank to dispute the charge. As mentioned earlier Alfonso was GREAT and the facility itself is GREAT, its dealing with the corporate side that shows they don't care. read more

I was referred to this storage facility by my moving company, Crescent Movers, when I asked them about storage. They told me Public Storage has the best prices around, and referred me to this location because it was the closest to my new home. I spoke to Ed when I came into the office and he was very helpful and courteous and answered all of my questions thoroughly. The new property manager, Fred, is awesome. He provided personal service in helping me access my space after I'd misplaced my key. He was even cool enough to help me take things out of the unit, and on top of it all, helped me load my car. I'm guessing that remote storage facilities aren't really known as pinnacles of customer service, but Fred broke that misconception - he showed that great customer service can be found anywhere. Naturally, I give Public Storage on N Pulaski my highest recommendation - and be sure and ask for Fred. read more

Moving in to the storage unit was great and the staff were very helpful. I never had any problems while having the storage unit. When it was time to empty out the storage unit, I was able to enter the move-out date online. I moved everything out the night before and planned on returning the next day to inform the office that I had vacated the unit. I arrived at 3:30pm on a Saturday (the office closes at 5:00pm on Saturday) and found a sign on the door saying the manager would return at 4:15pm. I left and came back at 4:15pm and found the time on the sign had changed to say the manager would return at 4:30pm. I was frustrated and left. I called the office by phone and didn't get an answer. I was able to leave a voicemail. It was frustrating going there twice to find nobody available to complete the move-out. Apart from this hiccup, I had no other problems using this storage facility. read more

I needed short term storage prior to move (3 months). Upon checking out, everything I had stored (not in plastic containers) was covered in mold and mildew. I showed the attendant on duty, who referred me to the insurance policy and the district manager because she was not authorized to offer any remedies. The district manager made the same recommendation. I will submit a claim, and hope that all turns out favorably. Regardless of being able to recapture some portion of my loss and inconvenience, I would have preferred not to have my belongings damaged to begin with. I felt that others should know, prior to renting, that the storage conditions on the interior units of this facility will lend themselves to mold and mildew. Mine occurred within 3 months. read more

DO NOT STORE ANYTHING HERE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Spring for a climate-controlled storage facility. I moved my furniture into a unit in this facility. When I went to move my things out of the unit a year-and-a-half later ALL of my possessions were COVERED in mold. Though the losses amounted to around $800, the insurance company only paid out $100 (after deductible). They claimed it was due to depreciation of the things I'd claimed. But seriously, even if I try replacing all of my ruined furniture at a thrift store, $100 won't cover it. So basically, I paid $80 a month for the privilege of having all of my things ruined. read more

Today was the first time I had ever stepped foot on this site for storing anything. From the moment I arrived, I knew I was in good hands. Fred, the man who greeted me, was extremely polite and asked how he could help me. I told him I had a reservation made by another location and he found it right away. We then went out to view the unit and make sure that my property would fit securely inside.....which it did. From that point, I threw a lock on it and headed back to his office to complete the necessary paperwork. He had drafted all the documents promptly and explained what it was that I needed to sign quite thoroughly as well. I must say, I was very impressed with the process and speed in which this was all executed. I would highly recommend this location and working with Fred to anyone looking for storage of any kind. I went in to this PS to get rates and info on a storage unit, Anthony C was friendly and informative. He was personable and suggested serveral options for my storage needs. I have to move my mother in with me soon and store her items from her aparmtent. I felt stressed before i stopped at this location but by the time i left, i was laughing and feeling stress free. Anthony was understanding and could see my fustration and gave me some options that would best fit my needs. I diffently will be back to use this location for my mothers upcoming move. read more
