Clean location, clean property, nice service, and Anitra was the best. Would be returning for sure $1 promotion was also a sweet deal read more

This place is a racket. Classic bait and switch. Signed up for a space at $203 per month in January. No, this was not an introductory rate. Now it's April, and I was just notified that the rent is going up to $295 per month!!!!! That's a 50% increase just a few months after I moved in. They wait until you've settled in and moved all your stuff and then jack up the rent. Honestly, it's fraud. read more

DO NOT ever use this Public Storage. The rent for a 5x6 space started out at $120, 3 months later up to $170, another 3 months later to $220 - Thats a $100 increase in 6 months. The owner is a Karen. That make you pay for a lock that you have to take with you upon leaving with fits no other lock system so $25 down the drain. I moved my stuff to Security first on Stockton Ave SJ - the same space for $65, a $155 saving and Jen the receptionist is an absolute sweetheart. read more

Rent going up from $184 to $284 in one month. $100 increase for absolutely nothing. Ridiculous waste of money and definitely moving our stuff out before the increase goes into effect just for the principle of it. read more

So signup was great - totally virtual and in-app. I showed up on my move-in day, no problems. Took a few days and a few trips to move all my stuff in. not a problem. My units in kinda an annoying location, but honestly I got my stuff in no problem. Fast forward 4 months and they notify me that my rates are going up. Ok, economy is tough, going to charge a little more. Not a little more. A LOT MORE. A 33% increase with 30 days notice. Like if had be 5% or 10%, I'd be fine. 33% (from $180/mo to $240/mo) is outrageous. We only needed a temporary place to stash some stuff, and I'm going to need it through at least one month of this usury. And then I'm out and plan to not come back. There's no shortage of other storage places around. read more

Went with a friend of mine to his storage unit. You need a special pass code to enter as the storage units are gated. Once inside my friend's small unit, I was surprised how deep it was. One draw back I noticed right away was how hot it was inside the unit. " like an easy bake oven" There is really no good places to park except in front of your unit "if your neighbor is parked in front of their unit it can become a problem. read more

I do not recommend this particular location of PS. Why? Prior to signing up, I inquired and spoke to Morgan, the Property Manager, who was not in the office a few times. I stopped by their office a few times, she was not there. Next, after calling the 1-800 PS number, and a prior reservation online, I obtained an "appointment" to meet with Morgan. She informed me, there was a unit near entrance/exit Unit B that will be available. This particular unit was small and pricey but I knew I was only storing few furnitures there that are in the process of being "sold" on craigslist and I wanted a unit near entrance/exit. Well this particular unit she discussed with me had a car parked infront of it so I thought it was the tenant who is getting ready to vacate and move her belongings. However during my appt meeting with the property mgr, Morgan informed me it was "her" car. A maroon old vehicle. At the time I did not think any of it. I signed paperworks and obtained my lease, gate code, unit lock. Next on my move in date, Sunday, I hired two movers to move my furnitures and to my surprise, her car was parked literally infront of my unit blocking access to it!!! Keep in mind this is Sunday. I had no idea there was a shack inside Public Storage where Property Managers resides "full time". So I was panicking because I hired these two movers whom I am paying "by the hour", and we are trying to scramble and brainstorm how to put my belongings inside my unit. I called PS number, and kept being routed to a voicemail as they were closed since it's Sunday. I knocked on the window a few times, no answer. I called PS 1800 number again. No answer but vm. Next I banged on the window. After few minutes, Morgan's bf stormed out pissed off saying "stop banging on my window! My daughter is sleeping!" . I apologized to him and he rammed moved his car next to their shack. Morgan then peeked outside the window telling me "Pls, don't ever bang on the window again". I apologized to her but what am I suppose to do? Why block my unit? Next time I went back to my unit to meet a buyer who purchased my sofa, her car was blocking my unit AGAIN! This time I knocked on the window. No answer. She came out few minutes later with her cleaning supplies and I asked her to move her maroon car. She looked at me with an attitude , moved her car abruptly in a manner feeling "upset", and when she walked away exited the small security door, she slammed the door. Keep in mind during this interaction and my previous meeting with her, I had always brought my mother with me so I have a "witness". Plus security cameras everywhere:. I told myself I'm not going to put myself to deal with Morgan's bs stress, attitude and behavior issues. I decided to call PS headquarters and filed a complaint and demanded to speak to her Supervisor to which Kevin contacted me, I relayed all the scenario/issues I am going through with this property manager. Kevin was extremely polite, understanding and informed me this issue will be resolved. I informed him that why as a tenant, do I need to deal with her bs? She is clearly causing all this trouble. I am a tenant and already paid for my second months rent of over $200 and do not tell me, I had to ask her permission each and every time I need to access my unit? Hell no! I will not put up with it. So my next visit to my unit, her vehicle was no longer blocking my unit and nowhere in sight. It is awful that I had to go through this bs experience with her. I have rented PS in the past and never encountered anything like this. So strange during my initial meeting with Morgan, she asked me to leave her a positive fb on Yelp and I informed her definitely I will. Well without realizing her true colors. So now, I am glad I waited to leave this feedback because people need to know how badly you treat your tenants there! There are so many open parking spots inside PS! Do NOT ever block a tenants unit ever again! STOP causing problems there! I do not recommend this particular PS location because of the current Property Manager and her overall rudeness and nasty attitude. But I do want to Thank Kevin for resolving my issue. Sadly, I had to contact PS headquarters, wait on the phone for over half an hour before filing a complaint and then waited for a day or two before the Actual Supervisor got back to me. So this the long process you have to go through in case you run into the same bs as I do. I am sorry to say it's not so easy accessing your belongings when you need to. Hopefully lesson learned from her but Morgan: Treat your Tenants with Respect and be Respectful! read more

Needed a storage urgently. Walked in and met with front desk Morgan and she was great. She got us what we needed quickly considered all that we needed to store matched it with the size of the unit. She was friendly we had great conversation and lots of laughs. I only need this temporarily for less then a month but would definitely come back if needed. Thank you Morgan! read more

They did a good job finding the cheapest storage for me. It was an easy experience. Fast and quick.

If you need storage, there are better options nearby. I had good experiences with A-1, I'd recommend them and they're less than a mile away. Okay, let's start with the positives: Some people qualify for the $1 move in special. Notice their advertisement photo here on Yelp has an asterisk but no clarification on what that asterisk means? This falls under false advertising. It's big, lot of units. The outside is clean. Alright enough of that, let's talk about what's really going on: This place sucks. I called to get the $1 special and they said it only applies to certain units. I got a unit anyway, paid for a month around the 28th. They called me two days later saying I owe them $55. Excuse me? I just paid your greedy ass for a whole month and now you want more? It turns out they move everyone to 1st of the month billing, so on the first of the month their bill collectors start trying to squeeze every last cent out of you. It's even worse if you signed up for online billing because they'll just take it out without asking and good luck getting a refund. Speaking of squeezing every last cent: they no longer use padlocks, they use recessed tubular locks and automatically bill you $20. My advice: don't rent here. If you do, buy the lock online for $5, or if you're in a hurry go to A-1 and get the same lock for $10. Okay, let's talk about sun. The way the property was built, most of the units are single-story get a lot of sunshine all day long. Our unit never drops below 80 degrees. We had some wine stored there and had to remove it so that it wasn't ruined. Pro tip: if you want a cool unit without paying for temperature controlled, rent from a property that has more than one story (like A-1 on Bascom) because it shields the sun. Then, ask for a shaded unit. They know which units are shaded. Finally, let's talk about moving in. Inside the unit it looks like a war zone. There was garbage when we moved in and the walls and floor were torn to shreds. It was so bad I took a video in case they tried to charge me upon move-out. Ethical storage companies don't rent out units in this shape without walking through with the property manager to confirm that we will not be billed for the damage. Overall, my impression of Public Storage is that of a large, greedy corporation who doesn't give a crap about their customers and makes decisions based on how much money they can squeeze out of people who need storage. read more

Convenient location. I've had to move every 1-2 years for various reasons - landlord selling, work location etc and this public storage has by far the most friendly staff and most convenient. I called asking about the storage rental options and Anitra was able to answer all of my questions with patience. If I were the vengeful type, I would wish that Luanne at this Public Storage would arrive with a new refrigerator, dishwasher and stove in a rented u-haul trailer at 4:47pm and be told that she wouldn't rent us a storage unit, because it was 8 minutes before closing and her bosses didn't like her to work "off the clock". If I were the vengeful type, I would wish that she had struggled these appliances on the trailer, were tired and hungry and had her frail in-laws in the back seat. But I am not the vengeful type. I simply say that Luanne (or was it Luanna) managed to destroy the kind feeling that both my husband and I had toward Public Storage, amassed during some storing at the Pinole Public Storage Facility on Appian Way. Those people rocked! They went out of their way to work with us and see that we were happy. I say go in peace, Luanne, like we did. We went half a block, found a storage place that stayed open a half hour later and were more than happy to give our money to store our stuff. read more

I recently went to my storage locker and unknowingly hadn't fully locked it. I received a call the next day from James, who upon a lock check, found I had not properly locked it. We needed a place to store our stuff while in transition. This location was close to the freeway and the easy to get to. Marrissa was helpful in getting us what we needed. They new that I was only going to be there a month or two, but still honored the move in special. When I needed a n additional space, they got me set up on the spot. While our stuff was stored, the access was good (6am-9pm) and the place was well lite in the evenings. read more

Good and freindly service from Anitra. Really glad I picked this location. Very clean facility and the $1 promotions made it quite economical too. Just didn't like the fact that I had to buy the cyclinder lock. Wish they'd just rent it or had regular locks for the big units. But I guess thats a public storage level issue and not related to this facility specifically. Overall I was very happy with the guidance and service received. Will definitely recommend it to other. read more

Why not to use this place: 1) After only 1 year, they raised rent by over 25%, we are thus moving, here are some other reasons.. 2) I complained about a neighbor making drugs! It smelled like a chemical factory and was permeating the walls to our unit. They did evict (or maybe move) him, but they pretty much let anyone rent there. 3) the neighboring adult day care center: Bless this place, they do a great service, but some of the folks they care for drop f bombs and have violent natures. While this can't be helped, it makes it very difficult to bring small children along to the storage unit. 4) tight maneuvering, the place is laid out in a very cramped fashion. 5) Creepy neighbors- be prepared for stare downs and the feeling you better not let your guard down. Seriously.. creepy. In general, this place is sketchy. I would say, if you can live with ghetto and the price was low, go for it, that's what we did. Then they raised the rent , so this place has zero value add. Don't go here. read more

I needed some temporary storage for some stuff. So I found the closest Public Storage via their website. I was looking for an outside storage because I wanted to just drive up and unload. I made a reservation online. I arrived and the front desk manager seemed nice enough. She showed me the unit and tried to upsell me to the next largest unit. I explained to her that there was only a few things and I was going to donate the stuff, but decided to temporarily store it until I decided if I want to try and sell it first. We went into the office to sign the paper work. She asked which insurance level I wanted because they had 3 levels of insurance. I said, neither because I was on the fence about donating the stuff or storing it and wouldn't need the insurance. She said the insurance was required. I don't remember reading about that when I made the reservation. I asked her if there was anyway around it because I don't want to pay the extra money for something I don't want or need. She said no, so I picked up my ID and credit card and proceeded to walk out stating that I would check the storage place next to them and see if they require insurance. Suddenly, she said she could waive the insurance. I signed the contract and proceed to utilize the storage unit. I came back later that evening to fill the unit and it was dark. In my row that I was in there are about 8 lights and only 2 of them worked or was turned on. Of the two lights that worked, one would turn off ever few minutes and then come back on. Of course, that was the light closest to me... There are so many storage places out there I would go find a better place with better service. I think I'll be getting rid of my stuff shortly so I don't have to deal with them again read more

Victoria, you've got some explainin to do. I called you this morning and you never called me back. $128 dollars is not okay for you guys to take when I already paid for the month of September. We moved to California last year and were going from a large house to an apartment. So we had to downsize. We were having our furniture shipped here and had to find a storage unit that was not only affordable, but also would accommodate us having a trailer parked there for a day while we unloaded. Kim, the manager here, is AMAZING!! She went above and beyond to help us. She guided the tractor trailer driver in, got us a broom when our movers broke a lamp, etc. She even offered tips on local churches. She was just amazing and has now turned into a friend. We have to stop and say hi whenever we go by our unit. We know that all of our belongings are safe as she lives on the property and keeps a close watch on things. We have never had any issues there, even with other customers that we have encountered. I would highly recommend this company. read more

Kim, the manager was helpful, accurate and efficient. My experience there solved my storage problem and it was easy and a good price.

Had to rent a place in between offices for a company move. Kim, the manager, was great! It was a bit tight to get the 17' U-Haul truck around and Kim offered suggestions on how to get in and out and opened gates to make it easier on us. The outside accessible roll-up doors were a must as we had heavy equipment. There was plenty of room to put down the truck ramp and get all our stuff in and out of the locker. At most there was only 1 other renter there at the same time we were loading or unloading (~5 times total) so not crowded at all. Would definitely rent here again! read more
