Our belongings were deliver on MLK day. Even on a holiday, we could talk with a lovely representative at customer service who assured us there would be no issues. There weren't!! The app works wonderfully. Plenty of room for the moving van. Roomy parking spaces so you can get things in and out of personal vehicles without challenges. Rates are great! New owners were regularly taking up prime parking spaces. Not sure what they were doing there, as they didn't seem to ever be working. One of the elevators was out for an inconvenient amount of time. There was a long, drawn out remodel of the offices, so there was a sweltering trailer there as a temp office. Which took up another parking spot, and didn't have a bathroom. Being in the middle of moving or rearranging, and having to drive around town to find a bathroom cuts into the limited time I was working with. And they cut way back on the air conditioning. Adding heat to everything else, made me more than a bit cranky. It was quite the change. THEN they raised my rates significantly. More money, for less everything. I moved out. The heat made moving out harder than moving in was. Especially since my only complaint at the start was limited access hours. So, rushing there, and sweating thru the whole process, it took me a day longer to accomplish it than I had planned. Because I went an extra day into the new month, they wanted to charge me for a full month. Seriously. ONE day. Since this was a few years ago now, I checked the other reviews first before updating my review. I wouldn't want to be a jerk if they had improved since then. Doesn't look like they did. Seems like they are just as bad now, if not worse.

Customer service was always great! Very accessible, I love that they have the carts right near the front entrance, makes it so convenient! Rent increases were reasonable as well. The only negative was that my storage unit was broken into at one point. Nothing was taken, or even rifled through. They called me as soon as they discovered it, and got me a new lock and went through my unit with me to make sure everything was there. However, the fact that this break in happened, and it's not even taking a star away from my rating for them, speaks volumes. I only moved out because I had to consolidate storage units (I had three at the time I left! Yikes!), and they didn't have one large enough to accommodate my needs. I would go back in a heartbeat, though. Highly recommend!

When I researched storage units at the time, I selected Lincoln Ave Self Storage based on reviews, seeing the place in person and speaking with Doug. I am SO glad I chose this place. My friends have had lousy experiences with other Public Storage places (not to mention any names) including break ins, refusal to share videos with police, rude and insolent personnel. My experience at Lincoln has been nothing but good. The elevators always work, the heavy duty carts are maintained and always available, I've never heard of any security issues and Doug has been a pleasure to work with. On the day of the move in, I was confused as to how the security system worked and the code for some reason did not work. I called in to ask and Jack was able to quickly fix the code issue as well as providing a thorough explanations as to how the gates work & how to make sure my unit was secure. Very responsible, kind and patient, I am glad to have someone like him managing the facility. Would highly recommend!
