I vehemently do not recommend this facility. I initially rented a 10x10 storage space for an introductory rate of $57 monthly. Within 13 months that rate increased to $151 monthly. When I asked about the significant rate increase (almost tripled), I was told I could move my belongings to a different unit to receive an introductory rate. What a scam! I never would have rented a space at the rate increase. I'm an older, retired woman who would have to hire someone to move my belongings. Please do not give your business to this facility. I was enticed to rent my space by the lower rate and then taken advantage of and not treated with good faith. I will be out by June 1st. read more

I am very disappointed. I was not able to get access to my storage unit. The gate would not open. I've tried several time and another customer behind me tried his access code but still not able to. No one was in the office at least let me through the gate door, that staff may have appointments other locations. So i asked if this like an emergency could someone come and let me throughthat gate. I was told no and thatbshe wpuld put a ticket in and that i would have to come. So I would rent a vehicle again, pay gas again to get to my property. . I appreciate her placing the ticket for me. Once again public storage does not care about their customers all they care about is ripping you off either with rent prices continually going up or threatening to put your unit contents up for sale and illegally cutting the lock off your unit I was one month behind in my rent contacted them and their supposed region manager told them I had a major health issue and I would get in to pay it the only acknowledgment I got was them telling my unit would go into lien not once sue they tell me the cut lock off and yes rent was paid before it went into lien I am a very long term customer and that was not even taken into consideration read more

I'm so glad that when I needed to store my belongings I chose Public Storage in Burr Ridge. The onsite manager, Shannon, is always professional, helpful, and friendly. Having the right employees represent your business is so important and can make or break the impression you give customers. I hope that Public Storage recognizes Shannon as the asset that she is. For the actual facility, it is your standard storage facility. It has a security gate, use of rolling carts, etc. Always clean and well maintained. read more

MOLD SMELL WARNING We rented unit A178 in the Burr Ridge facility for a little more than 3 months. On move out day we entered the facility with our movers and immediately noticed a mold/mildew smell. The smell permeated our furniture. We had purchased the unit insurance at the time of our rental. Unfortunately their coverage for fungus is $250 with a $100 deductible. Neither the facility, corporate customer service or the useless insurance company will do anything to get our furniture cleaned or replaced. Less than 1 star if I could. Go anywhere else. read more

When our father passed away three years ago, we needed a place to secure some items so the house could be sold. The manager that helped me pick out the right size unit and throughly answered my questions was very knowledgable to make sure the storage unit I needed fit my needs. Fast forward 3 years later and it is now time to vacate the unit. For the time that we had our items stored there, it has always been safe, clean and well maintained. Yezmin is the property manager at this location and she runs a solid operation. I was relocating back to Illinois and she assisted with the coordination of the movers as well as arranged for my space to be close to an elevator and adjacent to a family member's for ease of unloading. This facility has good security as well as clean spaces and is well-lit. I highly recommend this storage facility. read more

This place is terrible. Smells like mold. Dirty halls. Looks like it should be demolished and rebuilt. Management is useless. Everything with them is "policy". No customer service at all from the bottom all the way to the top. Spend your money elsewhere. You'll be glad you did. read more

I would have given 5 stars if it were just about Shannon. She was professional & helpful. I just rented an outside access unit so not much to expect. It was dry & empty. I have not seen the inside units but when I need to downsize to a smaller inside unit I'll make that judgement then. If it's moldy I'll move elsewhere. Don't want my mom's dining room furniture to be ruined. read more
