Contracting at a certain price is not a guarantee that's what you'll pay 3-6 months later. Without warning they will raise your monthly rent by $50. I am a roving gypsy! I move around in and out of states a lot. I've had a lot of storage units and still have a few. I moved a small amount of stuff into this facility in April 2022 when I moved out of Colorado for the third time. I had some things that wouldn't fit into my UHaul U-Boxes so I stored them here knowing I would be back. When I moved in the facility was pretty new and it was conveniently located and as a frequent Public Storage renter the cost was good so it was a win win. The manager helped finalize all of my paperwork and move it. He was a pleasant man and extremely helpful. I was happy with my selection. At some point he was no longer the manager of this facility and every bit of good customer service went out the window. The people are consistently rude and unhelpful. I was so fed up with the customer service that I drove out from Colorado to move out of the unit and facility. We got to the facility and had issues getting through the gate. Finally got through then had on unit lock issues which ended up being my fault, I have so many keys I overlooked the key for the unit. However, before I realized that I went to the office and the doors are locked. You cannot enter even during "office hours". I called the number and got no answer so I called from my mom's phone and Dave answered the phone. Yeah...I'm not a fan. He's combative and if he bothered to open the door it could have been fixed in moments. Instead he kept me on the phone IN THE PARKING LOT for about 20 minutes. I could have taken a couple of days to finish but I just wanted my stuff out! If you're looking for a great Public Storage facility use the one off Colorado Blvd and Evans. Had them for over 8 years and they are fantastic. read more

I got a notice at the beginning of the month that my rent was going to go up by almost $150. I've been renting here since 2018 and the price inches up. This was the last straw. The bathrooms on the upper floors have not been unlocked since after the COVID restrictions lifted. Water was just recently restored to the fountains. In 2026. Yet the fountains are so disgusting I wouldn't trust them. The only unlocked bathrooms are regularly worthy of needing a hazmat suit just to pee. While I was moving my stuff to a competitor down the road who was more than half of my rent before the hike cheaper for a larger unit in a nicer building with (gasp) toilets and drinking water available, some guy had the balls to call me on my cell begging me to fill out a survey. I was about to walk into a big meeting. Screw you is my answer to any survey. All that and you want to raise my rent that high? Screw. You. read more

I have only been using this facility for a month and it seemed nice and clean. But a couple of times dropping our stuff off we have seen people not unloading or picking up items hang out in the facility like they are either living there or doing something inappropriate with the facility. Today there was empty beer bottles and trash outside the entrance door and someone pooped next to the entrance as well. I'm actually worried now about leaving my stuff here. read more

What a great experience I've had at this location recently ..as my bid for a unit ended up being the winning bid - and after accepting and paying my down payment .. .. it was time to go to the actual site and get it . As I approached the site .. I couldn't help but notice how clean the site is . No trash blowing around .. you could see your reflection in their windows - as they are really that clean ! As I entered the front office I was greeted by the manager and manager in training . They were very courteous in mannerism and made me feel comfortable with asking any questions I may have had . They seemed naturally curious about the whole "bidding on units "deal .. I felt they were happy for me and wished me good luck .. I also sense that they respect the fact that they as employees would be ineligible to bid - but they can still be curious and excited for the actual winner . Their staff was also very professional.l- they possess the ability to work as a team as well as multi task when it gets busy . They take pride in their jobs - they enjoy helping their customers.. they are there for you .. it was a nice feeling I received from this location.. thank you to Doug and his staff! read more

I have had a unit in this storage since November, 2023. My bill has gone from $39 a month to $70 a month which is what I currently pay for a 5x5 unit. My unit is in the Broomfield, Colorado location and I currently live in the state of Florida. In September, 2025 I fell behind one payment to where the company secured my storage with a combination lock after drilling out my lock, they charged me a $50 fee for their lock that I am to receive back once I turn in their lock. This month I received a notification for another $50 fee for the same lock and when I called to explain that they could verify with my payment history that I have already paid for that combination lock I spoke to Bobby who informed me that I will now be charged $50 every month their combination lock is on there and will only receive a one time $50 in return once I return the lock to the company otherwise and these were his words, I can come in and put my own lock on the unit and receive one refund or I can let my storage go to auction because he doesn't make the rules just enforces them. I have been a customer with public storage many times over the course of many years since I spend a lot of time on the road for work but I am so disappointed at the lack of courtesy and customer service and the misinformation that I received and the suggestions for solutions even if he had been correct which is not the case that I will never store with this company again once I am able to go across country to relocate my belongings. I do not recommend doing business with this facility as they have no regards for their customers and recommend that you just allow your things to go to auction if you don't agree with what isn't even their policy. read more

One good thing about my rental was the staff was very friendly and helpful. Public Storage the company on the other hand - horrible. On my first visit they very aggressive accused me of entering after hours, which they later admitted was their error. Open hours are too restrictive. Not enough carts. Something was broken at the facility on every visit. After an extended rental, they charged me as normal for the entire month, then cancelled my unit three days in. I did nothing wrong and did not notify them I wanted to vacate. Would not issue refund. I guess they were able to double bill my unit that month. Horrible company to deal with. Will never use again. I have used other storage unit companies and never had any issues. read more

We moved out of this college storage space in May of 2022 and they have continued to bill us through March of 2024. Virtually impossible to get a hold of an actual person to deal with cancelling and getting a refund back. Like other reviewers they jacked the price as well. We began renting this storage unit in March 2022. The rate was $99 per month. Within a few months it raised to $132. A few months later raised to $150 and now they tell me it's going up to $169 March 1. As a senior citizen, we definitely have to move to somewhere that doesn't increase its prices every few months, making it prohibitive to keep our things here. read more

While I was not happy with the storage space rental cost increases over a three year period of time while overseas as active duty military, my experience in moving everything out of the unit was great due to one person; Morgan. There was some confusion (on my part) with a Public Storage sticker on my locks that caused me to think that my locks had been replaced while I was away for the three year period on orders. I brought my concern immediately to Morgan and he was very quick to react and take the time (technically after they closed) to ensure my valuables were safe and nothing had been tampered with. Turns out, I was completely wrong (granted very little sleep and other circumstances, but wrong regardless). In my moment of stupidity, Morgan treated me respectfully and showed how much he cared about the situation. I really appreciate the care and thought he put into the whole situation. He even came to check on me while my stuff was being packed out for shipment. Great person to have working on any team. Thank you Morgan and appreciate your help, patience, and concern during such a challenging time in my life. read more

The facility is clean and has easy access. I wouldn't say it is all that secure as anyone can follow you in the gate unless you sit there and block it until the gate closes. My rent started out at $95/month and after three years is not up to $137/month for a much smaller unit than I started out with. I will be looking for a new storage facility. read more

Doug was extremely helpful and answered all my questions and concerns in a heartbeat. I believe that PS staff should be allowed to place a "be back in 5" sign on the door, especially when they're short staffed and need to communicate that they're still open and will return shortly when the doors are locked. We almost left, disappointed that nobody was inside because we didn't know that Doug was right around the corner. Wish I could give this less than one star. Has made my life hell. Elevator broken and I have a third floor unit. Rented a truck to come move all my things and they did not notify any tenants of the elevator issue. As if that wasn't bad enough, they also placed a separate lock on my unit for no reason. (I checked and I am all up to date on payments as well as enrolled in autopay). Now waiting outside the office and no one is here yet. Horrible place don't come here. read more

Well I just moved in and so far it has not been a great experience. No one was around to answer questions when I arrived at 145pm. After reading an email that said to bring the lock down to the office if you already have one that works, I did just that. When I returned the lock the front dest lady said "next time you have to bring it down before you use it". Well hmm. Okay. I don't feel comfortable leaving my stuff unlocked. And because she was so unfriendly I just felt bad. Also when will be the next time? I don't anticipate doing this regularly... So sadly after 4 hours of being here I would not recommend. January is my last month. *Locked me out *Locked me in *Elevators not in use 2 times (maybe 3 times) I was there to check on my unit. I am on the 3rd floor. So... yeah pretty much wasted days with not notice sent to customers so they don't waste a 30 minute trip. *Internal System error with my auto draft payment *Late fee because of this internal error *I used the Check option on their site to correct the error of which I received a confirmation payment email. *I was charged $25 for this attempt *I was hung up on by a phone C S person *I was transferred at least twice randomly to another CS person without any information about my account given. I gave them 2 stars because none of my stuff is wet and I do believe it to still be there. I do not trust that I'll be able to access my items if I show up. I do not trust a person on site would help me in this case. I do not trust their Customer Service or internal workings to assist in case the other 2 options fail. Hey, if you pay a stranger to house your stuff, they may not let you in just whenever you want. - same with Public Storage- BUT at least you would know how to get ahold of the person. read more

I have been working all day to try and rent a storage unit at this location. It is supposedly easier online. When I called for assistance, no one answered. When someone (Blake) finally got back to me, he was able to answer the couple questions I had. Yay right? Not so fast. When I finished up my reservation online, the move in date was completely wrong! I called back and Blake brushed me off, stating that was what I wanted. I asked him to fix it and he told me to have a great day. WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. If the price wasn't such a good deal, I would not rent here. My advice: stay away. read more

Public storage will aggressively jack up your rent at least every 6 months. The carts supposedly provide for moving your items are never available. Sometimes when get a rent increase notice tell them you are moving out and may actually lower your rent so you will stay. read more

We rented three units here during our transition from an apartment to a house. The staff was always friendly. The facility is new and clean and I appreciate the security. You do need a code to go through all the doors but if you ask, there is a way to have the doors blocked open for move in or move out of a truck full of stuff. This facility uses a particular lock that is available in the store or, if you pre plan, from ebay. Always reserve your unit online!! Always!! The prices are better and the staff at the facility cannot get the online price. If you have to use your phone and reserve on the web from the parking lot then walk in to get the better price. We had an outstanding experience here. Security keeps your property safe! read more

Do not use this Storage company!!! Be aware they will send you fees without any explanation and you will not be able to speak to any manager or any one because there is no one in their office. I paid all my monthly dues of $124.20 and all of the sudden I get a warning that I have an overdue balance of $60 without any explanation and got locked out of the unit. This is the Brighton Location and It was CubeSmart when I first started to rent in December. I never had any problems with CubeSmart. read more

This was a great place but then COVID happened. They upped my rates December of 2020 (Merry Christmas) and I fell behind due to COVID for a month. I received 6 phone calls, 2 text messages & 4 emails before the end of the month because I was unable to pay. Don't even get me started on the woman who calls (Cathy/Kathy) she is flat out rude. These are only days apart and are harassing. I'm not sure if they think I get paid daily or what but boy they must be hurting for money to harass me this much. At this point I hate this place it sucks. There are weirdos every time I go there who seem to live in some of the units. I wasn't sure at first that I wanted to store here because their prices seemed so much lower that other facilities and I figured they were too good to be true. After visiting their facility, I can see that the grounds and storage units are all kept in immaculate condition, and they just have very competitive prices. Doug, the property manager, was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process and was understanding when I wanted to shop around at other facilities before signing a lease. This property is nice an new and the staff is great, the only problem is, it is like a prison. They make it so inconvenient to move your stuff. You will never be able make a quick trip here, so keep that in mind if you store things you like to get too. It's like they are paranoid. All the carts are locked up. I used 2 of their storage units while moving (removing furniture for staging, and then holding boxes of "stuff" to give us a head start.) Let me say that Doug was as helpful and friendly as you can get - I was very pleased with EVERY interaction I had with the staff. The only drawbacks were that: 1: I rented the units on the second floor (these are climate controlled, so stuff wasn't affected by the temperature outside!) and waiting for the elevators, entering codes in to get in the gate, enter the building, and activate the elevator was a bit much... 2: Many people who use storage units apparently never learned to share....On one of my "move out" visits, a large U-Haul that had 8 people helping tied up all of the carts except for 2 - and left furniture EVERYWHERE! Not Public Storage's fault (it was actually after hours, so the staff didn't know), but it was difficult to get my one load out with no equipment available. 3: I was notified a week ago that the rent was going up (almost 25%!) At this point, I was almost out - so it didn't affect me. I should also say I did get one heck of an initial rate, so I figured that they were only raising the rates to what others were charging in the area. Clean, and well functioning, I would rent from them again if I needed space again. read more

Staff is very friendly and helpful! Units are mostly all indoor so they're climate controlled. They have flat bed carts available to use, you want to pull and not push them because only the rear wheels steer. There are 3 floors, elevators can carry 2 carts at once. You need a code to get in, get out, and also to go up in the elevator. The storage is open from 6am-9pm. Wish it were later for us night owls. They have some moving supplies for sale in the office too; mattress and couch covers, boxes, moving blankets, packing tape, etc. Reserve online if you can, you tend to get much better deals. read more
