Yet these ignorant owners keep claiming to be in the right in their practice. Had I known the law at the time I would have fought for my rights. Every time I visited, it was actually enjoyable. It's clean, really secure and easy to move my things into and out of the unit. The variety of options are perfect as well. The Staff is very helpful and they were there when I needed them. Oh they also have a moving truck that comes with the purchase, I never used it but was nice to know I could. Also, their gate and code access is very nice and easy to use. Cons: Every once in awhile, the loading and unloading bays, to access the indoor storage were full. Staff does a great job making sure moving trucks and cars are rotating in a timely fashion though. The Basics Early September I needed a place to store some household items, furniture, drum-set etc... I was getting married and needed a clean, and close storage place to home. Longmont Guardian Storage met and exceeded my two criteria. I visited the main office, got a quick overview of the pricing and available units. The staff were able to quickly process my request and send me on my way. At the time I didn't have a lock, thankfully they have locks and other useful items for sale. Conclusion I've experienced other storage units, and I have rented with Guardian twice. Hands down, Guardian, and specifically the Longmont Guardian are both a 10 out of 10 when it comes to the self-storage business.

Their website was much more informative than other sites that I had found including sizes, availability and estimated pricing without having to give all of your personal info prior. I saw that they had quite a wide variety of sizes and accessibility. Including a 10' X 20' unit that was double the size of my previous unit for not a whole lot more than I was paying. I sent the conditions I was looking for including accessibility and the ability to drive my motorcycle into the unit and received a prompt phone call the next morning. Ruthie acknowledged my conditions up front without having to repeat the information I had already provided. They had multiple options available in the size I was looking for. Ruthie was willing to be available based on my personal schedule within business hours. It was easy to find, conveniently located with multiple routes to get there depending on the direction you are coming from. Miss Ruthie was as pleasant as could be. She was honest in answering my questions about potential for any safety or crime issues. She walked me to the unit, and was the one to point out that the light bulb was burnt out. I was satisfied and we walked back. Not to get too far off topic but when we made it back to the office, there was another lady working the counter dealing with a young couple that were trying to rent a pick up truck. The young lady must have been a princess from a far away land because she was talking to the woman working like a peasant, trying to negotiate the rental contract as if the woman behind the counter was the CEO of uhaul. The woman behind the counter continued to be patient and kind with the lady. The demands continued and then the boyfriend chimed in. He rudely asked, "Can I get a shovel since I guess you don't clean your trucks around here!" Mind you, it had just snowed over a foot the day before... Ruthie turns around and smiles at me. Realizing the situation, I let her know that I'm in no hurry and she can do what ever she needs to do. Miss Ruthie grabs a push broom and proceeds outside to clean out the pickup truck. Princess Jasmine starts in again and demands furniture blankets and starts telling her she refuses to pay any extra. The boy-friend comes back again, "What is she doing with a push broom? Does she even know what she is doing?". Not to drift further away from the review but this kid looked Napoleon Dynamite. Frail enough that it might be a chore to leave the video game console, let alone had ever lifted a shovel or pushed a broom. Anyway, the woman behind the counter tried to explain to them that the blankets were a bad idea for keeping things dry but politely told the couple that she was happy to accommodate. She finishes the couple up and immediately comes to me and smiles as if nothing had happened. She introduces herself as Andrea, thanks me and says she can finish me up. She gives me a quick list of what they needed and then goes in and reviews the current promotions to get me the best deal available. Ruthie comes in while we were completing the paperwork process and offers me coffee. Aside from the drama they were dealing with, my entire process including paperwork and payment took less than 20 minutes. I would like to note than I have been a professional in the costumer service industry for over 20 years and I would not have been able to maintain the composer and professionalism that Ruthie and Andrea displayed. Great job ladies!!! I will be in shortly to renew a longer lease and find out what kind of coffee you like, on me!!!
