I most recently rented here for about 2 years: from August 2022 until October 2024. Sharon was a great manager. It had both indoor climate controlled units and outside units which were convenient to drive up next to with a truck. Previously, when I moved to Colorado, I rented from them for several months back in 2016 for the convenience of having indoor and outdoor storage at the same address. read more

Tl;dr - Signing up for a unit was easy and staff was helpful and friendly. Closing the account was the opposite. Rate increases occur irregularly. Was in the middle of a move that happened during Christmas weekend. Made sure to call ahead and ask business hours. Office door was locked with a sign to call a number if it was locked. Someone opened door and yelled "Really?! What do you want?!". Told her I called earlier about closing account. Then she apologized for her behavior and said it's because she's sick. She said I'd get reimbursed for the days left in December. It's been almost 3 weeks and I still don't have it. Rate increase occurred 2 months after signing up and again 10 months later. read more

I rented a small storage unit at this establishment. I wanted to clear out some stuff while my house was on the market. So I boxed a bunch of stuff up, and, over several different trips, hauled it all over to the little storage unit I rented and loaded it up. It took me a few trips. I bought a new lock. I paid the first month up-front. I figured I would be able to hold stuff here for half a year or so. No problem. So imagine my surprise when 1 week after I paid my second month for my storage unit I received a letter telling me they were raising my fees. Raising my fees? For what? These are not climate-controlled units; there are not security personnel guarding your stuff; these are outdoor, metal containers. This establishment is just like the scan-your-own-grocery line at the grocery store. You do all of the work. You see, I've boxed up my stuff, hauled it over, moved it into the storage facility, locked it up. At this particular storage unit they have an automatic gate tht is operated by a code & password. So what I don't get is what their overhead is? It's not like they have staff members who are ocassionally checking in on my stuff? You know, just to make sure my boxes are doing okay. This is a store-it-yourself unit, not a "we'll pack your stuff up, load it for you and watch it for you" establishment. How many people will go through the inconvenience of finding a new storage unit once they've moved their stuff in? So, they are almost forced to go along with the rate increases. And, there is most likely no limit to the number of increases that may happen. If my rates were increased after barely two months, what would happen after 6 months? Granted, when I called the business to tell them I was leaving, they did offer to let me pay for a year in advance at my initial charge. Hmmm...no thank you. I will move my stuff back into my house. Maybe the lesson here is the word "temporary." If you need "temporary" storage of one month or two, perhaps this business is for you. But if you want to trust that you can make a deal with a business and that the arrangement will hold up for a reasonable amount of time, this is not the place. read more

Rented a 10x15' unit for 3 months to facilitate a move. I was a little put off by the outdated reviews, however the business had undergone a change in ownership in the past few years and is now truly deserving of 5 stars. Steve & Vickie are great - friendly and helpful. The unit was clean, access was never a problem, and overall the facility looked well maintained. I just moved here recently from Wichita, KS. This place was referred to me by a co-worker. I am glad I listened to him. The manager took me on a tour of the facility and pointed out the features. The Anal attitude outweighed any good pros! Pros: -Well lit in good area -Very clean and very secure facility. -Convenient location off 1-25 in North Denver (Westminster). -Doesn't require insurance, only if you want. -Owners live onsite. -They provide a lock you can keep. Cons: - More expensive than others in area (by at least 16.00 a month). - Read your contract carefully as the owner is very anal to the letter, meaning, you have to give proper notice (this was unclear to me) to be out by the end of a month. - However, if you decide to remove all your belongs before the end of the month, you forfeit whatever time you have left that you paid for (rather like a apt rental). -Make sure it is clean or they will charge you. -If you are of a military like mindset you won't mind all the fine details and keeping to them. -Very picky about the moving vans that come into the facility, be sure to follow directions or you'll hear about it. -I understand about contracts, but the owners were definitely out for themselves not you. In the end, the owner was a jerk and who needs that when you're stressed already? Too bad. i won't refer anyone there now. My suggestion, shop around. You can probably get a better price or perhaps a better attitude somewhere else. read more
