Equipment was…read moreconfirmed for an 8-10am delivery and didn't show up until mid-afternoon -- over 5 hours late. No one called or communicated the delay. I had to track down answers myself while my entire crew sat idle on site. That was just the start. The scissor lift broke down during the rental and needed maintenance, costing us another full day. Then the lift was removed from our job site without any notice or scheduled pickup, causing more confusion and downtime. After all of this, I assumed we'd both move on. Instead, two months of silence later, I received an invoice asking for more money. When I pushed back, they cited fine print in the contract and tried to downplay the delivery delay by claiming it didn't affect our work. It absolutely did. I've never had a rental experience this disorganized. Between the late delivery, broken equipment, unauthorized removal, lack of communication, and then being billed more after the fact, I would not recommend this company to anyone who depends on equipment showing up on time to keep a project on schedule.

While driving to the airport for a business trip, my rental car started shaking on the highway. I had to pull over, and after calling a towing company, I was informed that two lug nuts were missing and all the lug nuts on all the wheels were loose. This was not only incredibly dangerous but could have resulted in a serious accident. In addition to this safety issue, I had to change my flight, which cost me an additional $190, but Enterprise did nothing to compensate me for this expense. I tried to reach out multiple times, emailing the account manager and contacting customer service, but I received no response. When I dropped off the car, I was told someone would follow up with me but no one reached out. The lack of care for my safety along with the poor customer service has been incredibly disappointing. I'm not only upset about the flight change fees and the stress this caused to my work schedule, but the fact that Enterprise seems to place no value on ensuring their vehicles are safe to drive. I travel a lot for work and rent cars frequently. It's disappointing that Enterprise failed to take responsibility for these serious issues, and I will not be renting from them again. I will consider legal action if necessary to obtain the report on this matter.

That's when I started to do some research and found Rugged Van Rentals equipped with EVERYTHING my husband and I needed to have an awesome long weekend. When I say everything, I mean everything. We'll get to that, though. Hang tight. Rugged Van Rentals is exactly what it sounds like; big rugged vans that can get you pretty much anywhere you want to go. My husband and I were really excited to take out the newest addition to the Rugged fleet, the Sasquatch! It was just the two if us and our dog so I was really happy to see that there was an option for us in the Sasquatch. It's a Chevy Colorado with monster tires and a Yakima tent attached above the bed. The owner was really kind and showed us how easy the set up was before we took it on the road. He even made sure we knew that our dog was allowed in the tent with us which was really unexpected and cool. He also explained logistics of insurance and made everything really easy for us. Also, in the bed of the truck was a Coleman stove, plates, cups and even a big Otterbox cooler. So yeah, I could have gone out and spent a grand on everything (y'all think I'm exaggerating. TheOtterbox cooler alone was $300) I needed or I could rent the truck for a fraction of the price and just return it when I'm done. No fuss at all! I didn't even have to clean it before I returned it (but I did because I'm not a freakin' monster, KYLE). Super friend owner, really easy pick up, equipped with what I need, and my dog loved it. It's a win win all around. The only con was that now I was to trade in my Mini Cooper for a jacked up truck with a tent it the back. And THAT'S the tea.
