But he's really cool and willing to assist and overall I feel safe here, which is nice, because visiting a storage unit alone almost always feels akin to a scene from a horror movie. "Why are you going in there alone?" "Why are you turning down that dark scary hallway?" The elevator is kind of scary and old and the flickering fluorescent lights are a bit unnerving, but all seems relatively well and safe here. Sure, I'm used to living in the suburbs. But I still feel like it's not terribly convenient to have a storage unit off a big busy street with meter parking (maybe you get a spot right out front, maybe not) when you're trying to pick up heavy boxes of stuff and get them to your car. They have dollys and all, but it's still odd to me to be wheeling personal items down Broadway to your car. Keep in mind they have standard biz hours so you can't make any late night stops!

The correspondence leading up to and after the move was stellar and the pricing was extremely fair. Only drawback: - They shrink wrapped all the big/major items (i.e. mattresses, wooden bookshelf, antique desk, dresser, etc.). I'm used to packers putting mattresses in a mattress cover and wrapping the other items in a moving blanket and THEN wrapping it in shrink wrap, but it was a short move (17 mins across town) and all of our things arrived safe and sound with no damage, so I won't complain.
