They start you off with a nice rate. Then out of nowhere increase it like 60 bucks. then 2 months later, another 60 bucks. Absolutely ridiculous! I'll be moving my stuff as soon as I'm back in town. It went from 60 to over 200 dollars. If I would have known this I would have just sold all my stuff and bought new things when I finally move back, and it'd have been a much better deal. Feels like a total and complete scam. Terrible business that only cares about sucking money out of customers. read more

Julie who works here is amazing. It's the company policies that make me refuse to ever rent at a public storage again. I booked a rental for May 9th. My father ended up passing away unexpectedly that day and due to his death we put a pin in our moving plans and no longer needed the storage unit. We never took possession of the unit or moved a single thing in but Public Storage refused to refund any of the $380 we paid. They wouldn't even prorate a refund with a death certificate or offer a discount on a future rental. *Do Not Store Here* Fraudulent business alert. Stuff stolen, most likely let in by an employee or management to rob us. Our stuff was stolen from our unit (mountain bike, power tools, power tool batteries totaling $2000+). We paid extra to be inside the building, with a door that wasn't open to the outside. When we retrieved our belongings after 6 weeks, someone had been in the storage unit, poured out a few bags and boxes and stolen things. There was no forced entry, the front desk person said 'well you didn't get insurance.' All we are paying for is a unit, temperature and weather controlled to store our stuff- and you can't do that? BS. This place is a sham and a fraudulent business. read more

Since February 2019, I have had 5 rate increases. I am now paying 95% more per month than when I moved into my new unit. From August 2021 to August 2022, I had three rate increases within that year. The last straw was my latest increase as of August 2023, which was a 20% increase. I also had a storage unit at this location prior to my current unit, over which a pipe burst leaving the majority of my belongings wet. I had to move my items to the new storage unit, which happened to be after a snowstorm, so I had to move in snow and slush. I'm actually moving to a storage unit out of the city, which is double the size for $90 less a month! It's quite ridiculous what storage companies are charging in Denver. I'm done. read more

I used the units in Denver (2600 Sheridan). I had one unit but needed an additional and they were helpful. I wish I could remember everyone's name but a young lady was very nice in getting everything set up (and even made a point to multiple times confirm billing and policies). Another gentleman assisted briefly when I needed help with movers. I appreciate genuine customer service and there were no issues. Very nice and helpful employees. read more

Don't expect your possessions to be secure at this property. I am learning the hard way. My unit was burglarized over the weekend. Had nearly $10k in lost items ranging from high-end mountain bikes to outdoor gear, tools, and kitchenware. The property has minimal cameras, none of which point at the doors of the buildings or halls/doors of the units. Doors to the buildings are left unlocked all night. Maintenance is poor - there are areas of fencing falling over where thieves can walk right onto the grounds after hours. The ceilings of some of the units are simply wire mesh with gaps large enough for people to crawl through. So basically anyone can travel through the attic space and drop right down into other storage units. I am still waiting on any sort of communication from their corporate office as the property manager was unable to facilitate much more than repairs to my unit door where thieves cut my lock out. The hardware they used to make repairs was the same exact type as before, so chances are it will just happen again until Public Storage makes improvements in their security. I'd give zero stars if I could. This review will remain until Public Storage makes right of this situation. read more

Don't rent a space here!!!! The manager is bonkers. here's my story: The gate was not working because of a power outage but we desperately needed our items from our unit for our kids birthday that day. We saw an employee go into an office with a public storage jacket on, so we decided to yell to see if she could hear us and hopefully open up the walk through gate with her key. She came out SCREAMING at us that we woke her baby up (why is there a baby in a storage unit office???) and how long she'd been up last night and this morning working on the gate. We never got a word in edgewise as she was screaming at us how she'd been an employee there for 5 months (why would we care??) and how her code isn't opening the drive in gate either. She told us she would call us when it was working. We were never able to even ask her to simply open the walk in gate. I called right when we got home to cancel our unit as we had been absolutely berated and we're unable to retrieve our things (that's not how a storage unit works...). She called back and left a voicemail saying she was sorry but she was scared for her life (what in the Karen is going on here?!) There was a gate in between us, I in no way threatened her or anything. Like I said I barely got a word in. I'm horrified by her extreme unprofessionalism and want someone in the company to know she is the sole reason we are leaving our storage unit and finding a more professional company. read more

I do professional home staging and rent storage at several locations for owners possessions. I rented a unit here and brought one of my owners back to rent a unit as well. The manager Darlene told my owner that because my number was listed as a secondary on his reservation that she could not offer me any move in specials after he had already reserved with a move in special. After calling the district manager she agreed that they would honor the special. Darlene was obviously annoyed and then told my friend that I could not be an emergency contact on the reservation and that he could not give me access to the unit. They make up their own rules here and are very unfriendly. I heard the other lady on the phone charging a late fee to someone who's rent arrived by mail on the morning of the 7th when it was due the 6th. I understand that the mail was a day late, but you have to take into account holidays and maybe give a little slack. Don't rent here if you are looking for professional or friendly staff. Danielle is great. We have been at this property for 20 years and Danielle is the most helpful and gracious manager we've known. She is highly organized and personable. I was working in my unit when a large number of cars came in. Apparently, there was an auction of some property. Although I did not attend, I was very impressed to see how Danielle managed the event. This place is an absolute joke. I don't know who "Danielle" is but clearly she paid these people to write great reviews about her two days back-to-back. I had made an online reservation for a 5x10 unit. When I get there I tell the lady (that didn't even greet me as I stood there) what kind of furniture I have. She tells me that it is not near big enough. I said well - online it says it is big enough for a studio and I do not even have a full studio full of furniture (some of my furniture was coming with me and some was going to be stored). She tells me that I still need a bigger unit. I din't believe her because I had rented them in the past and gotten everything from a one bedroom in a 5x10. I ask her which ones are a 5x10 and she pretty much shrugs her shoulders. I asked her for a map so I could go look at the different sizes she tells me she doesn't have one. I decide to go outside and look for myself and give her the unit number and ask her what size unit is that looks like it will work. I get inside and I ask her about a pretty narrow unit (the length of my forearm and a half maybe) and she tries telling me that it is a 10x10. I know this is wrong because one and a half lengths of my arm is not 10 feet long!!!!! Let alone 5 feet!!!! She keeps insisting I need a 10x10 and that is the size I picked and gave her the number. I politely ask her to come outside and look at the units with me and she tells me "no". I said "what do you mean - no?" she said "no" well - needless to say - i told her to get off her hind end and do her JOB!!! She starts crying and calls her boss. She doesn't bother to tell him that she refused to help me - the customer - but instead tells him that I am being mean to her and yelling at her. In the meantime I had already made a new reservation at the one down the street - which I will say when I walked in the guy that asked me what size unit I needed immediately offered to get the go cart and show me the different sizes. We were out zooming around when the district manager (arrogant prick) calls and tells the other girl at the desk that I need to call and speak with him before I can rent (I guess I need a babysitter). I call him and he is an arrogant prick that decides to play power control and that I cannot rent from any Public Storage that day. I guess he thought I was moving for fun and that I could just wait two days until after New Years - or that I wanted to do do business with Public Storage ever again. Well - he is mistaken. I paid another lady $100 to put my stuff in her unit for 10 days. Public Storage blows and I will NEVER EVER GIVE THEM A DIME OF MY MONEY AGAIN. how DO YOU PUNISH THE CUSTOMER BECAUSE YOU HAVE A LAZY EMPLOYEE AND THE CUSTOMER ISN'T PUTTING UP WITH IT AND CALLS HER OUT ON IT?!?!?!?!?!?!? He should have listened to me and fired HER - I can guarantee I am no the only one with this experience - I am just the only one that had enough balls to call her out on it. read more
