The required proof of insurance to move in is ridiculous. Cube Smart makes the rules extremely…read moretroublesome to make sure that you grossly overpay for their provided insurance. To meet their expectations you need to request insurance 10-15 days BEFORE moving in. Public Storage and most places give you a one month grace period and make it simple and make your first impression a good one. Cube Smart wants to make sure that annoy you from the start. Then they make sure to reject what you provide so you're stuck overpaying for a second month. Hoping you'll just give up and get used to paying extra every month. (My agent is used to having to send 2-3 insurance certs when dealing with Cube Smart.)

So the manager, Dave, is really nice. That's about all this place has going for it…read more 1) There is NO security there. The fence around the units is falling down in several places, and the gates are left wide open on the weekends, even when management isn't there. 2) There isn't a single dumpster on the property, so you'll be taking any trash with you. 3) There is almost no parking, and Dave's wound-up assistant gets his panties in a bunch if you don't park exactly where he wants you to park. 4) You have to park next to the curb to unload, which is a minor hassle. 5) There are HUGE dips in the road around the units, big enough to dump all your stuff in the back of a truck. 6) They are allowing people to live in there. When we were first shown a unit, the assistant walked by an open unit and said to someone inside, "We're coming through and they will need to get through here." As I walk by I look inside to see who he's talking to, and there's a dude in there eating Cheez-Its in front of his "desk" that he's set up in a 5x5. There are personal items on top of the desk. His clothes are haning to the right. HE IS LIVING IN THE UNIT. How can they allow that?! 7) There aren't enough carts, so if you show up on a Saturday, you'd better have your own dolly. 8) He asked me not to take a sticker off the lock he gave me. I asked why. He said, "Because if it's torn, we'll know it's been tampered with." Um, what? The sticker is not over the functioning part of the lock. So taking the sticker off a lock doesn't prove anything. Bizarre. So no, I do not recommend this place at all.

I have been renting here for a couple years, and it used to be amazing! So amazing that I've told…read moreover a dozen of my colleagues in the trades about it and they started renting there. Unfortunately there is a new woman running the place and she is terrible. The quality of the grounds has been declining since she took over. Large garbage items sit outside of units for days or weeks. The alleys don't get plowed every time it snows , and they stopped putting down salt (both things they did when the other gentleman managed the place), so it gets icy . I have to put my own salt down in front of my unit so I don't slip on ice when I'm trying to get heavy tools and materials before work. The biggest issue is security. One of the gates has been broken and left wide open at all times, for anyone walking down the street to see and come in at any hour. When I asked about this I got rude emails back. When I asked to speak to someone higher up than her, she refused to give me anyone's info.... Who do you talk to about a problem when the problem is the manager? When I mentioned to her that the quality of the facility was declining, she got petty and went back though records to "call me out" on things she perceives as issues. I was told there is a service call in, but the gate is left swung wide open at night, and has been for days, how long does it really take to get a locksmith out???? They make no effort to secure the facility when they are closed. As soon as I have time in my schedule I will be moving to a more secure facility, with friendlier staff. If this is how much this place has declined in just a few months, I don't want to sit around and see how bad it will really get. The owners should really think about finding someone better to manage this facility, especially at the prices they charge.

This place is fantastic so far!! We rented one of the retail locations up front and a storage unit…read moreand they are super clean and well maintained. The grounds are covered with cameras everywhere so we feel our possessions are secured and looked after. Easy access to the highway and shops just up the street for lunch. We're very happy with our choice.
