Horrendous experience. I used this facility to store my luggage as I was having a StopOver at Denver and didn't wanted to carry on with our stuff all around and still regreting. When contracting we scheduled a move out date 3 days later and were advised to empty our locker and left the keys at the entrance drop box, and so we did. A couple months later I received an email requesting due payments with fees. I couldn't reach them by mail nor phone ( I don't live in the USA). I did the payment to avoid problems and scheduled a move out date online to end up this matter, but still everything is going on, apparently it is not possible to cancel the contract and I find no solution from them. I am absolutely desperate about the situation. read more

We pay $160 a month for a 5x8 unit, which has increased in price from the original $100 in a year and a half. You can only access it during business hours, which is really only during working hours. In addition to that, the location is right next to the Coors Field on Blake St, so if Blake is blocked off you can't get a vehicle to the complex. It's not a bad storage complex, just not great location of value for what you get. read more

The staff here are very friendly, the units are decent, but the rent increases every six months are insane. I've only been renting a unit for about a year and a half now, and they have steadily increased the rent by a whopping 131% I will be gathering up my things soon and no longer doing business with this company, or at least at this location. To be fair, it does appear as though they are charging the same higher rates for both current and new customers. However, the value of these units is lessened by a few factors that people should consider. First, they have more limited hours than at most locations. Second, there is only one elevator and it is painfully slow, making even a short trip to drop off or pick up things take twice as long as it should and especially so if somebody is moving their belongings on upper levels between floors. Last, it's proximity to Coors field, at least pre-COVID, literally makes it impossible to drive to sometimes given that Blake St. is so often closed to through traffic on game days. read more

Beware: the rent increases here are INSANE. If you know for sure (really, for sure) that you're only going to be here a few months and the location works for you then go for it. However, if you're a long-term customer they're going to rip you off. I've lived in Denver a long time -- and I know property values are going through the roof -- so I expect rent increases. I know that discounts for new customers are common, too. However, I don't expect to get billed $194/mo for a unit that's advertised for $90/mo (or $81/mo "web special"), just because I've been there a few years. Basically, if you're a good customer you're gonna pay for it because they figure you're not going to go through the hassle of moving. One other caution: Blake St is closed down for Rockies games. This can make access very difficult during the summer months if you don't have a flexible schedule. Other than that, the place is fine. Reasonably secure, big cargo elevator is slow but has tons of room, and the on-site manager has always been reasonable to deal with. read more

HORRIBLE! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! SHITTY customer service. We got mugged and our keys got stolen. We needed to empty our storage but we did not have the key. They told us to come to the office on the 15th because they have an in house locksmith that will cut the lock open on the 15th. We already moved to another state. We Specifically flew in on the 15th so that we can have the locksmith cut open the lock to our storage unit. We called a month ahead of time and then 2 weeks ahead of time and then again the day before, we told them that we would be here on the 15th around 10:30-11am. They said yes, because we needed to be here in person. When we arrived, the woman at the desk had us sign for the cutting and charged us $21 for a new lock. Then she said, "okay, that will be done in 7 days. We will call you. It will probably be on Tuesday." WTF! We were in a rush to catch our flight back. She kept saying, "there's nothing I can do." She didn't even suggest a locksmith that was down the street. We did that ourselves. Before we moved out of state, we came here DURING OFFICE HOURS (actually 3 hours prior to closing) to try and get our things, with our ou own bolt cutter. THERE WAS NO ONE HERE AT ALL. We thought that would be the worst of it, but now this today... WOW, that's a whole new low. Incidentally, while we were here, apparently their elevator has been broken, yet people were not made aware of this. One person, who was given an upstairs storage unit, arrived with a big moving truck, but they couldn't move in. That must have cost them a pretty penny. Use this public storage at 2100 Blake Street on Denver if you don't want to PREVENT STRESS & you want to BE CONNED OUT OF YOUR MONEY. read more

This place was great, until..... trying to close my unit I had been able to empty out (except a few items when I ran out of time and had to fly back... and then Covid happened... so couldn't get back into town).... Here is where the hellish customer experience began. Mainly with Natalie. She not only, after admitting error on their part (the prior coworker of hers I spoke with there had a note in their system that my unit was unlocked and items in there could be removed or auctioned and I would close out) and waiting nearly two months of fees later to alert me I was being charged and about to go to collections. Natalie refused to work with me long distance to close out my account when it was only $153 past the close out I thought I had (and I finally agree to pay for it if she would accept removal or auction of the items, less than 20 pounds of stuff, left) despite unit being unlocked for them and my belief it was already closed. She charged another month plus late fees and ran down my credit before agreeing through her district manager (who she gave us a fake number for at first to a lawyer after hanging up/not answering multiple times when we called back trying to sort it out.... and still kept running up the account cost)... and finally after a deep search we found her district manager online and his real number and were able to close the account and pay removal fees but now it cost over $450 past the initial Early July close out I had been given and paid up. Natalie was utterly unprofessional (fake numbers? Hanging up? What respectable business does that?!), extremely disrespectful, and the rudest person I have ever come across in customer service. I am usually very upbeat and give people the benefit of the doubt, but felt it necessary to warn others if she is still working here that she is a nightmare to resolve issues with and caused my family great distress during this chaotic time. So fair warning to all.... this place and specifically Natalie will be forever in my mind as the worst customer service experience of a lifetime. Thank goodness the district manager at least closed us out but it was for the up charged amount without apology regardless of it being documented I closed July 9.... and my credit was crushed because Natalie refused to answer the phone or give me the proper number to call her manager and actually pay out and close my account. The worst experience ever. -25/5 stars if I could pick that option. read more

If possible, do NOT use! Constantly increasing monthly charges after initial "good deal". Currently paying 100% more in monthly fees from when we first rented. Last increase with less than 1 month's notice was an increase of $109 per month which amounted to a 35% increase. In attempting to contact the company, it took over 8 phone calls, waiting a total of over 5 hours on hold. Finally got a call back from corporate, almost a week after promised. While the lady was polite, she said that Public Storage was not willing to do anything about the excessive fees even though another Public Storage facility less than 6 miles away was offering less than half the rate I was being charged with the first month for a dollar. They count on customers not leaving because of the bother/expense to move out and into another facility. read more

All I have to say is: Be prepared for the scam. Fortunately, Rick, the customer service rep at the this location is as helpful as he can be. But that's where it ends. He can only help the company so much before their scams override everything else. Mandatory Rental Insurance that the customer service reps are not allowed to tell you about until AFTER you've signed the contract. $22 admin fee for initiation of contract. Automatically sign you up for AutoPay when you give them your credit card number. A $1 first month's rent special actually costs $32 after all of the mandatory add-ons. Then the rent jumps to $95, PLUS insurance, PLUS who knows what else - they have your credit card number, you will pay at some point, don't slip up - that's business. read more

I moved out of my storage unit over a month ago, cleaned the unit, and was out by the move out date I picked on the Public Storage. Rick, the manager, keeps calling my phone number demanding that I pay for January and February storage rent. For some magical reason, my storage unit rent went from $35 a month to $60 a month for January and February. Rick, why did you promise me a fair price for a storage unit, but then jacked up the price to $45 and then $50 a month and now $60 a month? Why did you harass me everytime I tried to charge my electronics? And now you are harassing me on my phone for a storage unit that I moved out of, after all the harassment you gave me during my time there? Rick, stop calling my number. Anyone at the Blake Street Public Storage: do not ever call me or leave me a voicemail ever again. You are a scam artist and I will gladly cut my leg off before I give you another dime of my money. Rick, if you call me again I will go to the police and charge you with harassment. Stop harassing me. LEAVE ME ALONE, YOU IGNORANT BIGOT. read more

Great staff who were very helpful with everything from picking the size of the storage unit to checking on us to make sure we knew when to pay our monthly bill. The only con is the small parking lot because it makes it hard to maneuver big trucks and not too many people can fit in there at once. Natalie with Public Storage is one of the most helpful, friendly workers there is. I struggled finding a storage unit within downtown Denver. I gave Public Storage a call hoping to find a unit and Natalie was more than accommodating. She walked me through the process and set up a reservation time for me to come in and tour the unit before renting to make sure it was the perfect size and want I wanted. I got the 5 x 5 unit which was more than enough room to fit majority of my one bedroom apartment inside. Natalie was so helpful and made me feel very comfortable. She ensured my belongings were safe and secure which left me at ease. All in all if you need a storage unit get to Public Storage and definitely ask for Natalie's assistance! read more

DO NOT RENT HERE! For 10 years my rate stayed the same. In 2015, Public Storage bought the company out and my rate went up 90%. In 6 more months, it increased again 20% and just went up again 11% more. I walked in to inquire about these increases and the rep informed me "that's just what they do, they do increases all the time." DO NOT RENT HERE. Rent at a privately owned storage unit so they keep their rates the same and keep their customers happy. This is robbery. read more

This place is a joke. They have 1 really slow elevator. They don't have enough carts. The place smells like cigarettes. I moved out on the 8th of the month. Was told no refunds after the 7th. The manager on duty could not show me in my contract that there were no refunds after the 7th. Mandatory insurance is a scam. I went to green box right down the road where I got a super clean unit. They have 4 elevators. They have tons of carts And they run everything on solar. The actually have a negative carbon foot print. The nicest, most helpful staff I have encountered...seriously! They consistently made everything easy and helped us with a few issues above the normal customer service I had experienced in other locations- I also thought it was comparatively a very reasonable cost- I have paid much more for much less! I am appalled at the way i was treated by Rick, the manager at this facility. I am consulting with an attorney about my legal options because this man and this company should not be able to get away with treating a customer the way they treated me. When i was initially signing up to rent a unit Rick, the manager on duty, was condescending and belittling. At one point, when i was simply inquiring about the costs to confirm the rate i would be paying, Rick responded with " You're not that smart are you." I was polite in my response and replied " I'm sorry, I just want to confirm my cost and make sure i am understanding fully." It started to snowball downhill from there. I received my code to get access to my unit and when I pulled my car around to the unit to begin to unload my things, I punched in the code that i was given but it didn't work. I tried it multiple times to no avail, so i returned to the office. At this point it was 2:30pm and the advertised business hours on the door are from 9:30am-6:00pm. No one was in the office,the doors were locked, so i knocked multiple times for 10 minutes and then I started to call. I gave him the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe he took a phone with him to answer customer calls, but when I called no one answered. I even left a voicemail which he probably still "hasn't received." Because I had all of my items in my rental car that had to be returned later that day, I had no choice but to sit and wait outside the office and just hope Rick or another employee would return to the office or at least answer my phone calls. An hour later, another customer renting a unit let me in using his code and was nice enough to help me locate Rick. Once I was able to finally get in touch with Rick, he wasn't even in the office, he was hanging on the second floor smoking. I told him my code wasn't working and he told me to go downstairs and wait for him. So I did that, he gave me attitude and told me to wait outside while he attempted to fix the code. I told him I did not want to wait outside, i had been waiting outside for the last hour and I just wanted to get my new code so that i could come and go as I please. He told me I would need to wait another 30 minutes outside for him to reboot the computer because he had already turned it off for the day(like that was my problem and i was burdening him). This irritated me and i kindly reminded him of the business hours and that as a paying customer, I was entitled to receive my code for my unit in a timely manner. This set him off in a way that was completely shocking to me and I was honestly SCARED FOR MY SAFETY. He began YELLING OBSCENITIES at me, CURSING AT ME, waving his hands around in a threatening manner, came so close into my personal space that as he was threatening me, he was also SPITTING ON ME. At this point, I felt as if I had been ASSAULTED and was happy to wait outside because I was terrified of what he might do to me. There were bystanders who witnessed the interaction and they approached me to ask if I was okay. I explained the situation in detail to them and they told me they weren't comfortable leaving me alone while he was there, so they were kind enough to wait with me until I received my code. When Rick was done activating my code, he opened the door and forcefully threw the code at me. Luckily, the code was on a business card so it just fell to the ground. I have had to return to my unit multiple times since this traumatic interaction and each time I am terrified that I will run into Rick and he will do something drastic to me. I have attempted to call the corporate offices as well as the Denver offices multiple times and i can't get in touch with anyone. I desperately want to contact someone so that this situation can be rectified and i can be assured that no one else will ever have to experience what i went through. The voicemail that I have been prompted to is professional enough to state " They will 'probably' call you back." WHAT A JOKE. I still can't believe I went through this, it was not only the most unprofessional interaction I ever experienced, but also the most scary and intimidating. I am a young woman in her early 20's and to have a grown man of at least 50 years of age treat me this way was absolutely terrifying and obscene on so many levels. Rick informed that he was retiring soon so I believe it is blatantly obvious that he doesn't care at all about the customers and as a nationwide company, this should be something that raises a concern. Employees should treat their customers with respect and the corporation should ensure that their employees are adhering to professional levels of service at all times. read more

I have rented here for about four months now and I have no problems with this facility. Rick the sales rep is always ready to answer any questions I may have, and the restroom and common areas are always clean. Site is the most convenient and and easy to get into for the downtown area. My only wish is that the gate hours about one hour earlier in the morning and two hours later in the evening. read more

We booked online and the process could not have been easier, but even better than that was Rick. As soon as we made our reservation, Rick called to touch base with us and answer any questions we might have. Then when we went to the facility to finish the paperwork and start moving, Rick could not have been more polite, helpful, and professional. Halfway through completing the paperwork, we actually decided we would need a larger unit than previously thought and Rick seamlessly changed our reservation to fit our needs. This would be a great place to store your things... If you didn't mind garbage everywhere, and nowhere to park. I'm a 34 year old female and I constantly felt unsafe there. They will just let anybody come inside. Key code be damned. I would come there to retreive or drop off items, and there was always people there who made me feel unsafe. They had security cameras, but nobody was ever inside to watch out for you. It was horrible, and when me and my boyfriend went to try and vacate our unit, we walked through one day and couldn't take the smell. It was horrific. It was like someone had defacated themselves, or vomited, or something. We were gagging... throughout our process of trying to move our things out. And when I tried to vacate and notify them, there was nobody there. Two days in a row. The parking lot always had so much garbage that the only few places to park were taken up by trash. Just clean up the outside.. and and make sure the inside is clean, and safe. Then I'll know you care... we currently have a storage spot at Public Storage, next to the Casey Apartments, and they have such a better system, and cleaner units and safer atmosphere. read more

Agree with Jim D. Don't rent here. One elevator that doesn't seem to work when its cold outside. Also, in the spring and summer months, it feels like Rockies games are always going on and the street is closed. This review is long overdue, however, the service I received at the Public Storage (location across from Coors Field) was outstanding and I have been feeling neglectful that I have not shared this review. Rick offered outstanding customer service and was extremely professional. I noticed that the entire time Rick was assisting me at the desk, he had his eyes trained on the video cameras, scanning the property. I was impressed that despite assisting a customer, he was able to watch the cameras without making me feel I was interupting the other aspects of his job. The storage space was fine and the staff was always friendly. However there were always homeless people on the property (or asking you to let them in) and possibly even people living in units even though the staff said they checked nightly. It was also very difficult to get into and out of the space provide to load and unload. I think I will save a little money and a lot of hassle by going to a location a little further from downtown. read more
