I thoroughly cleaned and sprayed my unit before moving in. I opened my unit today and a dead roach fell from the ceiling! I let the woman at the front know and her response was, "none of our customers have complaints about roaches" but says the exterminator only comes once a month to check on the rat traps. He doesn't spray for roaches. The gate to the front is always open too. This place is dirty and ghetto. I'm moving my belongings out pronto and I suggest you avoid this place altogether. read more

The bes thing about this facility is Jonte. She's fantastic, and gave me a big help learning how to adjust rates, and learning the process.

First the price went from $200 per month to $316 per month and you must carry their insurance unless you have your own and there's no way to opt out online. You have to go in person. They have out door garages available and the doors dont quite reach the ground. Theres over an inch gap. The lip at the bottom of the door is rusty and sharp. The mechanism that lifts the door needs oil because it is very hard to lift up to roll. They make you buy a lock as an automatic add on. The good part is they have an app to auto open the gate. I wish I had some type of face to face service offered to address the crappy condition of the door and the sliding lock mechanism. If you want a storage thing get it on your first look at the public storage site because it will go up dramatically if you wait. The rates are gouging and are accelerating. read more

It was the easiest process ever to rent and get into my storage unit. I called and was on the phone for 7 minutes and was able to get into my unit right as we hung up! They run a lot of deals, the movie process is super easy, free use of carts and dolly's and elevators are giant and on both sides of the building. 10/10 great place! read more

We found this storage facility through sparefoot.com. We made a reservation through sparefoot on Tuesday evening, loaded up the vehicle, and drove to this facility the next morning. When we got to the facility at 1pm on a Wednesday, the price that we had RESERVED through the website doubled. There was no person there that we could talk to. How do you review a storage place? I'm not really sure, but I can tell you this would not be a good place to hide a body. It's too busy for that. Save it for Jersey. Enough laughs... This is a perfectly good storage place. While the 'climate control' simply means it's a big warehouse with rudimentary heating, it does the trick. If you have something that requires special humidity and stuff, you shouldn't be using a public storage place anyway. They have a variety of sized lockers, so unless you want to store your entire house, you should find something that works. I only have two complaints. First, sometimes it is very hard to find a cart. If you have a dolly of your own or something, think about bringing it. Second, parking inside the gates is chaotic. read more

Allow me to begin my horrible experience. As every storage company promises, they said I would be getting the first month free. I go in sign for only $26. $1 + $25 admin fees (which btw was waved when I signed with extra space storage). Anyways, it said on the contract the next time I would be charged was February. As we were in late January I was confused Bc I was supposed to have 30 days free. Woman replies "don't worry about that it's a glitch in the system" and even makes a fake phone call in front of me and says "the issue has been resolved". As I never had any issues with extra space storage I was confident this would be a similar situation.... WRONG. I was charge 100$ something dollars although I asked specifically and Bc of this I was also over drafted and charged an additional $30. I have tried contacting them for 2 weeks straight and they either don't answer or say they have been trying to reach their regional manager ... nothing else. Extremely unsupportive and do not sound like they are trying to right the situation at all. Regional manager does NOT answer phone. this is outrageous and i more than likely will be moving my stuff out and switching to another moving company as soon as I refunded. read more

I have have been renting from them for years, always paid on time etc. I called and left a message prior to the end of the month letting them know I was moving out at the end of the month, never heard anything, called back within the first week of the following month following up to make sure they got my message, heard nothing back. I then recieved a call from the corperate office (i assume it was the corp. office) I monotoned women with no personallity asked me why i had not paid for the month following me moving out and I explained how I call and got no response. She was busy typing notes (I could hear in the background) then she hung up on me. Today I got a call from a collection agency!! Way to build customer loyalty. I'll start off saying that this was my first time ever renting a storage unit and I have zero complaints. There are two individuals that work there. However, Jannette was always there when I came in. She has to be one of the nicest ladies I have ever ran into. Customer service was spot on. Renting a unit from this place is fast and easy and when your all done, closing it out is even easier. Would give this place 0 stars if possible. First off they never informed me up front about the extra insurance cost I would be required to pay MONTHLY. Secondly their gates are frequently broken so if you are hoping your stuff will be secure, you can look elsewhere. Finally, I am getting ready to deploy and after asking back in November if rates would be raised in the new year, I was assured they would not and haven't in 5 years... well you guessed it, they raised them. I am now paying quite a bit more monthly and have to scurry to move my stuff because my request to lower the rent was denied. I can't even get a phone call back to explain why this is. They are renting the EXACT same units for 68 dollars LESS per month but refuse to even bump my rent back to what it was prior to the new year (which is still 40+ dollars more than what they are offering new clients.) Thanks for taking such good care of your long term leasers and military personnel. You've shown your true colors. I fully encourage you to look elsewhere if you're looking for honest, quality storage. Try life storage down the way. They have 24 hour access, are cheaper and are much more pleasant to deal with. read more

Public Storage currently offers a 10 x 15 climate controlled, upper floor unit for $185.00 a month to new customers. HOWEVER, if you have been a long time customer the rate is $329.00. When I called to request a comparable rate I was told flatly: No. The difference is considerable, at the monthly rate I am paying $144.00 or by the year $1,728.00, this is grossly unacceptable! Everyone should check the website to see how much they are paying compared to current rates. There is a proliferation of storage facilities with better rates and service. Wali and Jennetta are long gone. The units collect a lot of dust, the two elevators are not always available due to repair problems, there are odors, there is a lack of carts available for use, the lighting is awful, plus the timed lights are on a short timer which requires you to walk to the end of the aisle to catch the electronic eye, this adds up to a bad deal. I was shocked to find this, as I have been renting from this facility for over a year, and I never imagined that this would happen. I reported this to the property manager and she explained that their pest control agent has not come to the property for a long time.
