This is a definite favorite! We walked in and were quickly greeted (Thursday at 6 pm) and taken to a corner booth. I had requested we be seated away from crowds if possible, and the host mentioned that as we were seated. We had a fabulous waitress, not too intrusive, but there when we needed her. I wish I knew her name! She helped me choose between the Grow and the Charred Romaine salad, suggesting the romaine. It was a great choice but I'm glad I got the dressing on the side as it was a rich salad. The pancetta in the salad was perfectly cooked, and I'm certain the dried tomatoes were house- made. By the way, RRR got the Grow salad and loved it. Also, we started with their bread basket, kinda weird. There were some great breads and some not great breads. I also got the Tuna Tartare. OMG! If you like raw tuna (yes!), this was a beautiful way to serve it. The small rounds of fried rice cakes were a perfect contrast to the tender tuna. I could go on... I also got the seafood chowder, and I was much less impressed. I thought I tasted bacon in it; RRR did not. He finished it and took lots of his meal home. I am so bummed with my experience here. It had been on my bucket list for over a year and I finally convinced my entire family of 9 to go. We made a reservation a week in advance and we easily accommodated. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The view was great from our table and parking was easy. My grandparents used the elevator to get upstairs but stairs are also an option. We were seated quickly and given menus. After we had all made our choices and the waitress began to go around, she advised us they were out 3 of the entrees and sadly they were majority of what our table was going to order. Our reservation was at 5:30 on Sunday, so I was surprised they were swiped clean of those meats/fish. After we all adjusted and ordered differently, our food took soooo long to come. With a larger party, I get it may take longer. This was way longer than normal though. We didn't leave the restaurant until 8. The service was ok. All in all the food came out beautiful. Truly a piece of art! The flavors were unique, but the combo seemed to be missing something. Not sure if I'd go back if I'm being totally honest. Our first visit to this Cunningham Group eatery. A very uniquely appointed fine dining experience with a great selection. We ordered from the 'Devour Indy' menu. A dinner salad of greens, berries & goat cheese accents was very nice. The Short Rib/Scallop combo was amazing. Rich meaty short rib literally melted in my mouth. The scallop was topped with a mildly spiced tomato/onion relish that complimented the perfectly seared medallion. The accompanying risotto was a good pairing. Tami's 6oz filet was perfect as well served with a sauté of peppers and creamy mashed potatoes. Now, the desserts: Basque cheesecake was good - unique but not awe inspiring. Provision is upstairs in Ironworks. Upscale feel and ambiance. There is dining tables, high tops, bar seating, and outdoor seating with a fireplace. Beautiful space. Prompt and great service. Helped my mom and I make some tough decisions for what we should order! Started with the burrata. Great form factor and tasted amazing. The fruit goes so well with the burrata and crostini. Phenomenal! For the entrees I went with the pork chop (after hemming and hawing between that and the scallops) and my mom got the snapper. The pork chop was huge! And flavorful. And moist. The glaze on top was sweet and went well with the chop. The parsnip purée and sweet potato went perfectly with the chop. The snapper was really good. I may get that next time! So at this point we were pretty full, so the obvious move was to order 2 desserts. I see ricotta donuts and I think Vida, so I had to order those. A bit different than Vida...maybe even better!!! The peanut butter bombe was indeed a sugar bomb. My mom questioned the addition of the banana ice cream but I quite enjoyed it. Cost with tip was about 200. Talk about a beautiful dining experience! A friend and I met up at Provision for a long overdue catch up session. As soon as I walked in, I knew it was going to be a great evening. Beautiful interior, open but still private and very attentive staff. Our waitress was great, wry enthusiastic and was excited to tell us about the specials and her favorites as it was both of our first time there. I ended up getting the crab bisque soups (seriously the best soup I've ever had) and the chef's special. The special was a board full of New York Strip, Salmon, a scallop and potatoes. We were way too stuffed for dessert but so can only imagine what they had and how delicious it would have been...next time! Only draw back was that it's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for here and I thought the portions were fair! Will definitely be adding this to the list for an evening out! read more

My husband and I stopped by on a Wednesday evening without a reservation, which was a mistake! The place was packed and they didn't have a table available until 8:45pm. Since this was our only date night, we decided to eat at the bar. I admit that this affected out overall experience so I would like to go back another night and have a reservation for a table. Overall, the food is as delicious! I recommend either the bread basket (the spiced butter was so good) or the burrata. We started with a wedge salad, crisp and great flavor. Provision is my favorite restaurant while visiting Indy for work. The food is always perfect. Even take-out is done right which is hard to come by now a days. My order is always accurate and tasty. My favorite item is the seared scallops with gnocchi, spinach, and cauliflower with a Thai basil beurre bland. Scallops are cooked to the perfect temp and huge! You just can't beat this place for quality. Definitely a 5 star meal. I don't eat in but I've been there for pick up and both the interior and exterior are modern, industrial and masculine. If I were to give one critique it would be that sometimes the cologne fragrance in the restaurant is a bit overwhelming. read more

Provision has quickly become one of our go to restaurants for celebrating various occasions. The service was excellent (very attentive)and food delicious. We went during devour and enjoyed a fabulous three course menu including truffle corn soup, short rib and scallop entree and orange chocolate tarts for desert. My husband and I absolutely love this place. We've been here several times, but I decided to leave them a review this time after being served the most amazingly delicious sea bass of my life. It was cooked to absolute perfection. I was hesitant to order it as it is one of the most expensive entrees, but I had the scallops last time we came, and although they were very good, I wanted to try something different. And let me tell you, this sea bass was worth every penny! My husband ordered the short ribs and said they were fantastic. We started the evening with cocktails. I love a place with fun, unique drinks, and Provision definitely delivers! We also had oysters as an appetizer (among the best I've ever had), and I got the Thai Lobster Bisque, which was very good, despite having to use a knife & fork in my soup because the portobello mushroom slices were way too big (my only very tiny bit of criticism of the meal). I opted for just a liquid dessert with an after-dinner espresso martini. I love that it's not full of cream like some. Yet another stellar example of a great restaurant by the CRG! I'd say that they're my "new favorite", but I feel that I love each one for a different reason! Provision features a local, sustainable farm to table theme heavy on meat and seafood entrees, but I noticed they do have at least one vegetarian pasta entree and several other items also marked vegetarian. I came here with a group of 12 for a private dining event. We walked up the stairs to our table just outside the hostess stand (tip: there's also an elevator if you're not feeling the walk). I first noticed how classic the setting appears. It's dark, elegant and definitely sets a lovely scene for dinner. We ordered a selection of appetizers to share as well as bread and drinks. From beginning to end, everything was plated and presented beautifully. Our servers were attentive and very friendly, offering suggestions for wine and our main entrees. Despite our large group, all of our food arrived promptly, yet allowed us time to visit between each course. To finish, we chose a platter of assorted dessert selections. I wish I would've eaten less at the meal; the mocha ice cream, sugar cream pie and chocolate potato chips were to die for (yep, sounds wild but you've got to try it)! Also the oil for dipping bread in was get with a mix of balsamic and oil! The scallops were cooked soooo well. The top was so crispy and full of flavor! My steak was cooked exactly to order but it was over salted. I also didn't care for the presentation of the mashed potatoes. The bread basket, crab hashbrown, New York strip, and potatoes were all yummy and cooked perfectly. The creamed spinach was one of the most flavorful I've had. It was excellent. My wife surprised me by taking me to the Provision Restaurant located on 86th St. This was a special treat because I have heard wonderful things about this restaurant and now I had the opportunity to experience it first hand. I must tell you it is everything that I heard and as they say all that and a bag of chips! I started out with appetizer, Charred Shrimp, you can't go wrong and was the right choice! Next, for the main course I ordered the 14 oz Ribeye with sautéed onions and more shrimp with Potato Terrine. This was the perfect choice although it was more than enough for another person to share. Don't forget to order the pretzel bread to compliment the meal! Overall, one of the best meals I have enjoyed in a very long time. The waiters were on point excellent customer service and tended to our every need. If you want a classy restaurant and a good meal this is the place. It is a bit pricey but it is well worth it. Last night, I got married on Provison's patio. I have to thank Provision from the bottom of my heart for these memories that I will never forget. My husband and i haven't dined out for quite some time but we decided to take advantage of the Devour special and treat ourselves right before baby was due to be born (very wise decision). I do enjoy the Cunningham restaurants and I've been wanting to try this place out. Some of the dishes were slightly off (not enough flavor/spice or slightly salty for example) but overall the food was good and our experience and the service was excellent. They also did a pretty good job with covid precautions so i felt comfortable. Free parking, clean modern classy ambience, and outdoor seating available. Bar looked pretty impressive too. Prices are higher end so i imagine saving visits for special occasions. read more

I like Provision. The location in the retail/restaurant space at Iron Works hotel on 86th street so unfortunately parking was tough on a Friday night, but valet is offered for a cost. Entering the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing. It feels upscale. You enter into a foyer, and take stairs to the second level restaurant, or can use the elevator located in the lobby of the hotel if needed. The restaurant itself is adorned well, has dim lighting, and sets a great ambiance. The hosts stand is at the top of the stairs and allows you to be greeted right as you enter the restaurants main space. We made reservations so our table was ready right away, but there is seating to the side to allow you to grab a drink and wait on a table. Despite how busy they were, service was prompt, friendly, and enjoyable. Our host and server were both incredibly personable, so much so that I remember both their names. We dined from the devour menu, adding bread for the table ( 10/10) and drinks. I didn't love the "Endless Love", which seemed to be their version of an Expresso martini, and my sister also didn't love her drink. But our dishes were flavorful, beautifully plated, and the salmon was beautifully cooked. Will absolutely revisit in the future, and definitely recommend! read more

Decided to have my birthday dinner here and it did not disappoint. First off the staff was absolutely fantastic, and extremely accommodating. My guests were coming in at different times and the staff was prompt to getting everyone's food & drinks in as they came. The manager made sure everyone was comfortable and even reserved an extra table for additional seating. The food was incredible!! I tasted a little bit of everyone's entree, and couldn't decide which one was my favorite. Everything brought to our table was hot, fresh, and seasoned to absolute perfection.
