Visited Bonefish for a birthday dinner, and while our server was very nice (I wish I remembered her name so I could give her a proper shoutout!), the overall experience was just okay. Bonefish is known for their Bang Bang Shrimp, which is usually pretty good, but this time there was so much sauce that the coating on the shrimp became soggy. I ordered the Unicorn Fish & Shrimp with mashed potatoes and broccoli, and I will say it was actually pretty good and filling after adding some salt and pepper. Overall, I've never really been wowed by my experiences at this location. The food is usually just so-so for me. I would definitely visit if someone wants to visit it or wanted to go, but it typically isn't my first choice when deciding where to eat. read more

I always have amazing meals here and today the flavor profile hit a slightly different profile than expected. I ordered the shrimp and scallop scampi pasta. The dish featured scallops and large shrimp over a generous bed of linguine. However, for a dish defined by its zest, the garlic and lemony brightness of the scampi sauce was notably less pronounced as it leaned more toward a subtle buttery finish rather than the punchy, aromatic citrus kick this this dish is normally known for. I've been to these dinner/events multiple times but first time reviewing! Bonefish has been around for ever and I've been coming to this location for years. More recently I have been coming for the event dinners/brunches. It's great time for a date or girls brunch! The service is always nice. The menu is a set menu and usually modifications are not allowed unless there are allergies. Typically there are 3-4 courses each accompanied by a drink. I usually go with a group of women and we have actually befriended some other women that are frequent fliers as well! It's a great time! I don't always love every drink/meal but most are a hit! It goes me a chance to explore things that I probably wouldn't order on my own. The price is reasonable for the events. The staff has mastered how to run these events over time . It was challenging at first but they seemed to have worked out kinks and fun this event well. It is something that I will continue to attend! We usually go to the Bonefish in South Bend, IN but happened to be close to the 86th St one this particular day. We have eaten at this Bonefish many times. Sorely disappointed today. Restroom was in bad shape too. Dirty toilet bowls, paper towels on the floor and toilet paper not in the tp dispensors but sitting on top of dispensors. Why mgmnt is ok with women picking up tp rolls that others have handled after relieving themselves is beyond gross. We will drive to Southbend before visiting this one again. read more

Take my advice and get the heat wave martini if you like things a little spicy. It's my favorite and always my first pick, followed by the blueberry lemon drop! Bang bang was soggy like it was made hours before. Bartender kept forgetting things except telling us how busy he was. We had to ask for bread 3 times. Ordered salads, notice some brown lettuce in mine, showed it to the bartender and all he said was hmmm looks like bad lettuce they usually catch that. The fish and chips are also just okay--I'm personally not a big fan of that dish here. Do not go here if you are a party of 1-3. I was staying at hotel nearby and at 6:30pm I saw on open table that there were reservations available for every 15 minutes for hours, so I decided to just go in without making one. When I spoke to the host and asked for a table for 1, he asked if I had a reservation and I said," No, but I saw availability ." He said, "Unfortunately they didn't have availability without a reservation but I could sit at the bar". Which, as a single woman, I didn't want to do. I stepped aside, logged onto Open Table made a reservation and went back to check in. People, he had the audacity to say that my reservation wasn't for 10 more minutes but he would seat me anyway. I kid you not, there were literally 20 vacant tables, and when I left less than hour later, there were still 13 left! Half way through my meal I asked to speak to the manager because it was bothering me and felt wrong. It's awkward enough eating alone, but the manager made it worse by basically saying that's how they handle tables of 1-3. When I tried to post feedback on Open Table, I couldn't because they never marked me as seated or dined which was pretty suspicious. In summary, unless you are with a group of 4+ and like sitting alone at a bar, you will not feel welcome at Bonefish Indianapolis. 0/10 Do not recommend. read more

I had an amazing time at Bonefish. The food, drinks, service, and company were all great. I hadn't been in a very long time so coming back for happy hour was the perfect time to try drinks and food. Our waiter was fun and very helpful. I didn't get any pictures but trust me when I say everything I had was so good. The pomegranate martini, dragon fruit margarita, burger sliders, and the shaved Brussel sprout salad did not disappoint. I placed the order online for pick up the same day. Everything was in a separate container and nothing leaked. This kept so well. I am writing this review five days later after finishing the last portion which was just as good as the first on day one. Whether you are looking for an easy meal prep or just grabbing a nice meal for your family, this was a fantastic deal and the food was 10/10. While I didn't go inside this time, I know the interior is on par with all other locations . The pick up instructions were clearer and location was very easy to locate. Me and my girls ready for a girls night. We picked here because of the social hour. We had my boy Brandon as a server. He was great. He kept the $7 drinks coming. The mango bourbon sour was the show stopper! The cracked black pepper had me question it but I just went with it. The pepper gave it gave a nice finish! The seafood dip was spectacular, so was the bread and oil (although this had to be requested even though it is suppose to automatically come out). My partner had the lobster truffle ravioli which she rated a 5/10. The sauce was too watery even though it was supposed to be a cream sauce. I had the pasta with a tomato cream sauce (which was decent) with scallops and shrimp. The manager of the kitchen became very hostile towards us when we requested a few changes. The drinks were super strong, and overall the waitress was okay. The restaurant itself is really nice inside, and the ambiance was on point. Very disappointed with our experience. We walked in and sat at the bar while waiting for a table. It was busy, which was completely understandable, and we were fine being patient. Our drink order was eventually taken, but the drinks were never made. After 25 minutes at the bar, we were still sitting there without anything to drink. Once we were finally seated, it took another 35 minutes for that same drink order to get to us. After ordering we were then told they were out of asparagus. When my meal arrived, the scallops were shockingly small, they honestly looked like scallop-sized pencil erasers. To make matters worse, the main course was served cold. I've long wanted to give Bonefish Grill a try, however, I've just never made my way up to its Indianapolis spot because: 1) I'm lazy. 2) I'm cheap. 3) I'm a bit of a slob (okay a lot of a slob) and every time I'm driving by it I can't convince myself I'm dressed appropriately. However, during my current cancer journey I've had several friends donate gift cards. As a result, I was able to give Bonefish Grill a try this evening via delivery. Bonefish Grill is a national chain that started in 2000 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Started by Tim Curci and Chris Parker, by 2001 they were acquired by and remain with Bloomin' Brands. They have nearly 200 locations across 28 states. They are a lunch/dinner restaurant. The Indianapolis location offers online ordering, reservations, curbside pick-up, delivery via partners (I used UberEats), lunch, catering, and Sunday brunch. They also have a kid's menu and a gluten-free menu. They do also have a bar and have a happy hour menu. As should not be a surprise, the menu is seafood heavy. However, they do have some other options including salads, steak, pork chops, and chicken. However, there's no doubt seafood is king here. I ordered fish and chips with an iced tea. It's a relatively simple order, however, it's one I really like and one that can be very hit-and-miss with delivery. I'm not far from Bonefish, but I'm also not really close. What can I say? Bonefish Grill nailed it. While I tend to write kinder/gentler reviews, I have to admit that when it comes to delivery a 5-star is rare. The packaging here was impeccable. The three pieces of cod were nice portions and simply wonderful. I'd honestly say they are my favorite delivered fish and chips to date. The fries/chips were very nicely seasoned and tasty - the order was perhaps a tad small, however, the overall portions were just fine. I was also not expecting bread to be included - nice touch and it was fresh. The iced tea was in a normal-sized cup instead of the small styrofoam cups so often used for delivery. This felt almost decadent. I loved it. Everything was exactly as ordered. Overall, this was a really wonderful experience and I would easily order again.
