I am not a seafood fan, but a lot of my friends are. There is a delicious menu even for those who are not hugely into fish. The chimichurri steak was phenomenal. The waitress we had was great, she was attentive but also very sweet and understanding! read more

I've long wanted to give Bonefish Grill a try, however, I've just never made my way up to its Indianapolis spot because: 1) I'm lazy. 2) I'm cheap. 3) I'm a bit of a slob (okay a lot of a slob) and every time I'm driving by it I can't convince myself I'm dressed appropriately. However, during my current cancer journey I've had several friends donate gift cards. As a result, I was able to give Bonefish Grill a try this evening via delivery. Bonefish Grill is a national chain that started in 2000 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Started by Tim Curci and Chris Parker, by 2001 they were acquired by and remain with Bloomin' Brands. They have nearly 200 locations across 28 states. They are a lunch/dinner restaurant. The Indianapolis location offers online ordering, reservations, curbside pick-up, delivery via partners (I used UberEats), lunch, catering, and Sunday brunch. They also have a kid's menu and a gluten-free menu. They do also have a bar and have a happy hour menu. As should not be a surprise, the menu is seafood heavy. However, they do have some other options including salads, steak, pork chops, and chicken. However, there's no doubt seafood is king here. I ordered fish and chips with an iced tea. It's a relatively simple order, however, it's one I really like and one that can be very hit-and-miss with delivery. I'm not far from Bonefish, but I'm also not really close. What can I say? Bonefish Grill nailed it. While I tend to write kinder/gentler reviews, I have to admit that when it comes to delivery a 5-star is rare. The packaging here was impeccable. The three pieces of cod were nice portions and simply wonderful. I'd honestly say they are my favorite delivered fish and chips to date. The fries/chips were very nicely seasoned and tasty - the order was perhaps a tad small, however, the overall portions were just fine. I was also not expecting bread to be included - nice touch and it was fresh. The iced tea was in a normal-sized cup instead of the small styrofoam cups so often used for delivery. This felt almost decadent. I loved it. Everything was exactly as ordered. Overall, this was a really wonderful experience and I would easily order again. In fact, this motivates me even more to have a dine-in experience with Bonefish. It took me a long time to try Bonefish Grill, but it won't take me a long time to return! read more

Server was excellent , Had chilean sea bass was obviously frozen and thawed mushy and very little flavor, au gratin potatoes a little dry and over cooked, Asparagus was fabulous and crème brûlée best I've ever had, was disappointing considering price read more

So a few years ago I had a less than stellar service experience and hadn't been back. Some friends invited us to a Tequila dinner and it was incredible. Five courses, each course paired with a small cocktail and we took food home. The drinks were wonderful and the food amazing! Portions were very fair. Check out one of their special events. They are an amazing value and crazy quality. read more

Swordfish dinner was amazing, the steak and lobster was perfect, it was my birthday dinner with my wife and the staff was friendly and nice! Had a smoked old fashioned that blew my mind it was so good! Expensive but delicious and worth it, nice and quiet place for a romantic dinner. Cool vibe inside. Will definitely check out more menu items in future. read more

Hubby and I were overdue for a date night an opted for an early reservation at Bonefish (6:00 pm). The food was delicious as usual and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing! We ordered crab cakes as an appetizer which comes with two ( I forgot to take a picture) and my husband ordered the corn chowder soup with lump crab and I ordered a Caesar salad to go along with our appetizer. For our main course we ordered the dynamite salmon off their summer favorites menu, recommended by our server JJ, to share and they split it for us. We paired this with our chosen drinks, my husband ordered the crushed pineapple martini and I ordered the Tiki Mermaid, which was very tasty and came in a cool glass! Our sever JJ was great and very attentive and convinced us to try something new and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed our meal and time together and will be back soon! read more

I've dined at this restaurant at least 10 times and for some reason my reviews disappears!!! My last review was May of 2022 when I celebrated my 10 year Cancerversary!! You can tell by all of the posted photos that I'm a regular, especially, before the pandemic! I've wanted to try the Angler's Catch so I made my way on the last day. I didn't have a reservation so I grabbed a seat at the bar. The service was great as usual! I ordered a bowl of corn chowder with lump crab instead of Bang Bang shrimp this time and it was delicious Of course the bread with olive oil was also served. My meal was very hearty which consisted of two perfectly cooked cod filets and six large shrimp, fries and coleslaw. I guess I'll have some leftover for lunch tomorrow. I completed my meal with one of the drink specials, crushed Pineapple Martini and it was soooooo good. HOPEFULLY, this review will stick read more

Huge shout out to Jess H. I came with friends to Bonefish, and the meal was So Good!!! I wanted to take a moment to thank Jess and the Bonefish team for ensuring my wife's food allergies were considered, and that great food options were available for her. I love Bonefish, and the food is reliably good. The options have unique seafood options that I really enjoy. When you add a safe place to eat for my wife, then it all becomes a great option for my friends and me. read more

Emma was absolutely terrible. We come here often and this has been the worst person who has taken care of us. We got here during social hour and it's a Monday but there was literally nobody here and she was still inattentive. Even after I spoke to a manager she still was inattentive. Im a server/ bartender so I get how it can be at times but when it's not busy there's no excuse for inattentiveness. And not only was she inattentive she was just around the wall talking to coworkers and seeing that while we were in need of things was very frustrating. The food and drinks are amazing as always but the service was just terrible today. read more

Met friends at Bonefish. It was a crowded night although we thought we were early by eating at 6pm We ate in the bar. It took awhile for the drink orders. There were 4 of us. My friend and I got our drinks but not my husband and other friend. About 20 minutes of waiting we called the manager over. We explained how long we were waiting and he said the bar was behind because they ran out of blue cheese olives. It was necessary for them to stuff more before making drinks (Really, my husband had a beer.). Who says that to a customer?? Drinks served onto dinner. I order cod imperial and asked if the server knew if any soy product was in it. No, she said after thinking for a minute. Meals came and after about 4 bites I felt ill. I, at first, thought I had eaten too much bread but that was not the case. I was suffering from an allergy attack. I was up and I'll all night. First thing this morning, I checked the nutrition guide for Bonefish and the list indicated that the cod did indeed have a soy product in it (My mistake was not checking before dinner) After realizing that I had ingested soy, I called Bonefish for to talk with the manager. Someone answered explained they were not the manager but would leave a message. Then he asked if I was asking for financial return for the illness. No, just mad and scared and wanted the manager to be aware. Of course, no call to me but I am calling back. Tonight All in all a very unhappy evening mediocre food and bad service by uniformed staff members including management 7:45pm called for manager. Spoke with Lyndsey the owner. She didn't get a message regarding my earlier call and was very regretful. She listen to my story and said she needed to get with her staff. She was lovely but I feel she has a problem with her staff read more

Food was amazing! Drinks delicious! Atmosphere was gorgeous as we celebrated a birthday for our beloved sister . Service .... Tommy W. Didn't meet our expectations! His service to us all was overall rude, condescending, and very disrespectful. This is a first that we've all experienced this type of behavior. Management needs to have a talk or send him to Chic-Fil-A for training. He just didn't have it or get it. ‍ We will return, not to his section if he last that long. read more

Customer service was okay. The portion sizes are tiny for the price. My piece of mahi mahi was tiny. I also paid $9 for a tiny crab cake.

Went there for dinner with a friend. Our waitress was pleasant and welcoming. The food came out super quick but the place wasn't too crowded. I'd say the risotto had too much lemon flavor. It gave a really tart taste. read more

The waiter Dee was amazing. He returned to check on us often. Great mannerism. I will definitely come back again

Four of us saw that Bonefish was having their crab leg special! Wooohooo! We all love them and it was our friends birthday, their anniversary on the 26th...and an opportunity for a nice meal before a throat surgery for me. We had a great bar booth, ordered our fabulous crab legs, had a happy hour priced drink and appetizer bang bang shrimp...and were informed they were out of crab legs. This was 5:30 on a night of their advertised special. I asked to speak to a manager....he listened and said he couldn't buy us a drink but would take care of us. So we all ate a meal that we really didn't want....and still had a $100 + bill. Sorry...very poor customer relations. (And not prepared for THEIR advertised special. ). We also tried to sub lobster bisque - which they were also out of...Lots of great restaurants out there. Extremely disappointed with this one! read more

Very cordial greeting by our hostess who took us to our table in a very welcoming dining room. Our server, Colin, was perhaps the most capable server I have ever had. He had a detailed description of every menu item we asked about. Throughout the evening, Colin was attentive, but not annoying. The next time we go back, I plan to ask if he is present. I ordered the BANG BANG SHRIMP and LINGUINE DEL MAR. Both selections were outstanding for taste, temperature, presentation, and portion size. I highly recommend the BONEFISH GRILL on 82nd street. read more

We always love a Bonefish Grill, and there was one not too far from our hotel in Indianapolis so we stopped in for dinner. Everything was very tasty: the Bang Bang shrimp appetizer of course, my dad's salmon with lemon butter sauce and the pineapple glazed shrimp that my mom and I got off the specials menu. I also enjoyed the white sangria with mango. Unlike some locations, this one did not have a revolving front door, making accessibility easier. Watch the step down from your booth, though, everyone! Our server, Brandon, did a good job snd was attentive and friendly. Overall, Bonefish is still a favorite, no matter which state it's in! read more

If you plan on spending $200-300+ on a meal for your family you are better off elsewhere. The bang bang shrimp is a shadow of its former self, mushy and falling apart. The Cod Imperial topping was bland and the fish was dry. The seafood dip was mediocre. They were out of egg rolls. Our smallest ordered the kids shrimp and we asked if we could have a small cup of the kids Mac and cheese instead of the broccoli and the manager wasn't having it. Most likely to make us pay for a full side. Pro tip for the manager: If customers are spending hundreds of dollars you might want to consider accommodating a tiny thing like that. Everywhere else at these price points does and the cost is negligible. Not a huge deal in the end but a turn off nonetheless. Our server was good. The calamari was very good and the ahi was nicely done. Drink prices seemed reasonable. Overall just an average to mid experience. read more

Unfortunately, I also ordered the tuna Poke ill never be able to eat it the bang bang shrimp app is large. Honey got the calamari which is also great but nothing us better than the bang bang shrimp .hes getting the mahi-mahi. Sorry I was so happy with the food and the waiter I forgot about the ridiculous waitress with the purple ponytail. She saw me walk in and turned and left the host stand. Just walked away. Bonefish is a classic favorite that manages to keep things fresh. I haven't visited in a few years, and I was pleasantly surprised to find some old favorites on the menu (hello, bang bang shrimp), as well as some new delights. The Saucy Shrimp turned out to be a pleasant surprise, and the salmon pasta looked light and refreshing. One unexpected delight is the Bonefish cocktail menu. From sweet treats to smoky sips, you really can't go wrong. The wait staff was phenomenal and the service was pleasant without being overbearing. One note - the AC did not appear to be working properly, so that could be an issue if it goes unattended much longer, but overall I would definitely return once the climate is regulated within. read more

Food was well prepared and delicious. Service was excellent. Bonefish is our go to seafood spot!

I don't usually go to national chain restaurants. They just don't do it for me. However, we had $100 in gift cards so we opted to give Bonefish a try. Off the bat, we were sat at the very first booth, closest to the door, which sat 6 people. There was only 2 of us. We quickly decided to move to the bar. We started with drinks. The smoked old fashioned was presented very nicely. It was a large pour and tasted pretty good. The French 75 also 2@was presented nicely and my date had no complaints. We decided in then tempura crunch sashimi for an appetizer. It was pretty meh. Despite having a lot to it, it didn't have much flavor. My date also got a side salad, which I had a couple bites. It also was pretty flavorless. The dressing was super light, almost non existent. The main dishes, however, were both very good. The Rockefeller Butterfish and Golden Corvina were both very flavorful. Both were cooked appropriately, had a good sauce and flavor. Also, the cole slaw was probably the best I've had at a national chain. The service was quick, but it was a Monday night and they lane was pretty dead. The servers and bar staff were all friendly. If I had another gift card, I would happily return. read more

My order for brunch on Saturday was simple traditional eggs Benedict. The first attempt was delivered with completely hard boiled eggs. The second attempt was delivered with runny egg whites and yolk. The third attempt was delivered with semi-solid egg yolk and tiny pieces of ham smaller than the size of the English muffin. Packet hollandaise sauce from the grocery store tastes better than their sauce. I decided to call it over at that point. If you can't poach an egg after 3 tries, maybe you shouldn't be cooking. To the credit of the restaurant, they didn't charge me for the meal. I expected a lot more from this well-known and respected establishment. read more

My better half knows how much I enjoy the seasonal Winter White Cosmo at Bonefish, as well as their food, so we went for an early dinner and seated ourselves at the bar. We were greeted promptly and had our first round of drinks served in short order. We each started with their house salad which is consistently fresh and crisp cold as well as a great portion size. We then shared the Tempura Sashimi appetizer followed by the Rockefeller Butterfish entrée from the Specials Menu with sides of green beans (seasonal veggie) and the creamed spinach (premium side). To be honest, I thought the butterfish portion was a little on the small side and I don't know that I'd classify the pieces of crab it was topped with as "jumbo lump crab" as the description stated, but it was still tasty. The creamed spinach is now my favorite side and it's plenty for two to share. Tip: If enrolled in Dine Rewards, you can earn points toward $$ rewards. read more

So I walked into this restaurant and sat at the bar and I noticed an unpleasant smell as I was sitting there it was like a dirty old rag and dirty water then I looked down and saw a roach pop out right in front of me on the mat! Well-seasoned, cooked to perfection, and they didn't miss with the sauces. Our waiter was the bomb! He was so attentive. When we'd ask for something he would come right back with it. He made suggestions on sauces and they were all good. It was really chill. Nice ambiance but I was able to dress and down and be comfortable. I ordered the Baja scallop and shrimp scampi pasta, garlic whipped mashed potatoes, and calamari. Everything was good. My friend ordered bang bang shrimp, chicken and shrimp with fries and coleslaw.L, and added sauces on the side suggested by waiter extraordinaire. She said she loved everything except the coleslaw needed a little more juice. I'm going back, there's no question on that. I have a couple of pics, but by now y'all know when it's good to me I'm eating first and taking pics last (maybe never sorry lol). read more

Some of the BEST food I've had in a long time. Everything was prepared just as I like it; chicken was tender, shrimp was deliciously seasoned, spinach was perfectly sautéed, and the mashed potatoes were fluffy and lightly seasoned to perfection.
