I ordered the oysters (with a spice level of hot) and the Cajun wings. The spice level was ok and the Cajun seasoning on the wings was really good. I ordered calamari and it wasn't that great ... not as fresh as I was thinking for a seafood place. The Cajun fries were definitely good. I ordered the Old Fashioned and it was horrible - watered down, no alcohol and a ton of what tasted like grenadine. I replaced it with a Moscow Mule as that was the only other drink that seemed to be safe to make and it was okay. Service was terrible - it took a long time to receive anything, even the checks and didn't get checked in on. For a seafood boil spot, I did have some shrimp and the corn from my sister's boil and that was good and spicy.

Came on a busy Saturday early evening. Wouldn't seat us until our whole party had arrived. Service was slow. Server was very nice (AJ). Took a while to get our drinks and food. Want to say food came out about an hour after being seated. Food is delicious as always. Parties of 6 or more get automatic 18% gratuity. For this is feel like they should really make sure they work hard to make sure we get everything we need. After getting our food no one came by for a long time. Checks took a minute to come out as well. Saw other people getting their food before us when they arrived after us. We ordered soon as possible. We were on a time crunch. Do not come here without patience, you will be disappointed. Drinks are weak. They do not offer refunds. Calamari was just ok. Fries are good. I always get the juicy flavor hot spice. I tried the fire and it was also good. Be ready to get messy. The shears is had were weak and were scissoring.

I had a disappointing experience at Juicy Seafood. We stopped for lunch. It was my first visit. The dining room has an ocean theme with fish and nets hanging from the ceiling. A hostess seated us with menus. We had to ask for lunch menu because she only gave us dinner menus. I ordered the fried oyster lunch. The oysters arrived with a burnt breading and the oyster itself tasted old and awful. I was horrified. The seasoned fries were very good so I nibbled on those. Our server, Ro, was really attentive and friendly. She asked about the meal and I told her about the oysters. She encouraged me to order something else and brought me the menu. I ordered the fried shrimp. When the plate came, they had removed the burnt oysters and placed the freshly fried shrimp on top of the now cold fries. I could still see bits of the oysters on the plate. The shrimp were good, better than the oysters. But I just couldn't get past those awful oysters. My husband had the fried calamari, which he liked. I will give them points on cleanliness in the dining room. They have a process for thoroughly cleanly tables between customers. I probably won't return and it's difficult to recommend based on my one visit.

We've always talked about coming here for years and finally did. Started with calamari as appetizers, not bad but the serving was small. Not used to having starters this small. Both of us went for the make your own combo. Wifey got the scallop and shrimp combo in cajun, medium spicy. Very filling and tasty. I went for the snow crab leg and scallops in lemon pepper. Very enjoyable. The shrimp and scallops were jumbo size. Drinks were served late (not the water, water was served first) and we were almost done with our meal. Other than the late drinks and small serving size appetizer, it was an enjoyable dinner. Definitely would come back for the snow crabs.

Be ready to get messy! The seafood boil was a little bland. You do get a lot for the price and it was piping hot. I'm not sure what happened to our waitress, but towards the end she left and we had to ask one of the hostesses to get us water. We also ended up having the hostess get our bill. The service was very lacking. There are a lot of seafood boil options that are tastier and don't have you wondering where your waitress went. Be ready to spend over $100 bucks for two people.

First time EVER going inside and let me just say WAY cheaper BUT... They have NO utensils to PROPERLY crack crab legs! First off, no crackers. Those are ESSENTIAL! Secondly no forked spear utensil or the forked one with the flat half and then clawed half. Don't think they have names, but look up crab leg unrealistic and they have kits. The waiter was super helpful, didn't catch his name for my usual mention of the servers. The atmosphere was that of a Joe's Crab Shack. My preference is to order in, but price wise dining out is best. I like to have the right utensils and be in the comfort of me own home, but it was an experience.

This is definitely a go to seafood spot. Juicy seafood has crab legs, shrimp corn muscles oh crab salad, hush puppies, chicken fingers and more. If you're looking for a sauce try to get all three sauces blended together, that's a favor is mine. If you plan on dining in, they have a lot of open seating TVs, a bar on the far right side of the restaurant and music to add to the ambience. The service is fairly decent.

Every time i come here i have a great time. There's plenty of space. All of the staff here are so nice. The food is consistently great, no matter what we order. The drinks were made well. The service is always quick. Will be back.

Pretty darn good! Service was fantastic! Which is the main reason I'm giving 4 stars. I've been before and I usually get the seafood mix that comes in the plastic bag with potatoes and corn and THAT is amazing. However, this time I got the fried Whiting Filet and it was meh. It just wasn't a good fish flavor in my opinion. But I think it's just personal preference. I LOVE the fries, the seasoning is awesome.

Dang, good food at a great location. Right off 86th street. The waitress gave us time to talk and decide before taking our order. All the staff were polite and helpful. Only two things I would change. 1.) appetizer served with the meal 2.) Hand dryers in the bathroom instead of paper towel.

The red bomb with extra crawfish! Yumm

The lobster roll was soggy and honestly? Too much. I prefer a classic lobster roll - warm, lobster, bread that still has a little crunch to it (just the tiniest bit), butter - but not too much. This was soggy and the celery situation took away from the essence of a lobster roll for me. I've never liked the lobster salad rolls, and I did make sure there would be no mayo - but I think this was a bit much. Too much butter. Too many toppings. The flavor wasn't amazing. My dad really liked the perch. So much that he didn't let me try it. Lol but it looked good! The fried okra was solid. Kinda hard to mess that up, so no complaints there. Same thing with the fish tacos as the lobster roll. They're very busy. I like tasting my food - not piling the toppings on so things get lost. So, I scraped pretty much everything off. The fish was good! I got my mom the fried oysters. No complaints. Her meal came with two sides, so I got greens and Mac and cheese. I didnt try the Mac, but they said the greens were top tier. They had a nice flavor, but they're spicy - so avoid them if you can't deal with a lot of spice - probably red pepper. They threw in a crab cake for free and I thought that was really sweet of them. I didn't like the way it looked on the inside, so I only nibbled at it. Definitely not what this Maryland girl is used to... the winner is still Commisson Row on crab cakes in Indy so far. Anyway! Cute little tucked away spot, small parking lot, but spacious inside. Quite a few tables and chairs and fresh seafood in the cases. I'd go again and try some different things based on other reviews.

The fish was prepared lightly blackened, giving it just the right amount of savory kick without competing with the delicate flavor of the sea bass itself. Main dining space has a combination of booths and tables of larger and smaller sizes. There is a fish tank behind the bar and maybe in the main room as well. Our table was between the bar and a small booth as well as near the entrance to the kitchen & bathrooms, so there was a decent bit of traffic through our congested area. Our server, Darrell, was AWESOME. He was personable, professional, and knowledgeable of the restaurant's history and menu. I used the information he shared to guide my order and was grateful for doing so. Wife ordered the special shrimp bowl ($21), which was packed with flavor. I chose the Ono ($32), which was a firm, meaty fish with a parmesan crust and chose the clam chowder and sweet potato fries for my sides. I really enjoyed the fish, which was huge and I brought half of it home. The chowder was excellent and the fries were crispy (uncommon for sweet potato fries) but not overdone. All of our food arrived promptly. They also provided a fresh loaf of sourdough bread to go with our meals, which was tasty. Would return based on service and flavor. Would probably prefer a booth to not be constantly walked around. Price point will probably prohibit our ability to return with any frequency.

I will say that I've eaten here at least 3 times before and it's always been top notch. I will be back again. But I did not think it was spectacular last night. My table started by ordering several appetizers and salads. I split the beet salad with my friend. That was a mistake. This is hands down the best beet salad I've ever had. It is delicious. My friend doesn't like beets and loved the salad. It's not very big. I don't recommend splitting it. I'm not a fan of the shrimp corn dog but everyone else loved them. A friend ordered them for the table. Someone ordered the prime rib dumplings and said they were ok. They looked good but I didn't try one. They really enjoyed the bacon wrapped apricots. Another person liked the pesto goat cheese Mac n cheese. The deviled eggs were wasabi this time. The preparation is always different. The table didn't love this preparation as much as others in the past. I thought they were good. I had the Stanley meatloaf. I'm not a fan of the very large broccoli they plate. The meatloaf was very dense. I won't order it again. But I will note that it typically gets rave reviews. It's just not for me. My friend who got the beef short ribs wasn't excited about them. I had those last visit and they were excellent. I was hearing a lot of "ok" when people were asked how their entrees were. But everyone cleaned their plates, except me. I barely ate my meal and the server did ask if there was anything wrong. There wasn't anything wrong with the meal. I just didn't care for it. I boxed it up and brought it home. I will say that everyone really enjoyed the cocktails, appetizers and salads. Our entrees were fine but no one raved about theirs. We always eat at fine dining establishments when we go out. We loved Freeland's see my review for them. So we had high expectations here and left having had a good time together but the food kind of missed the mark. My bill came to $104 for two cocktails, a beet salad and meatloaf, incl 25% tip. I think when I go back I'll definitely get the beet salad again and stick to appetizers rather than an entree. My friends also ordered several desserts. They really liked all of them. The service was very good and the waitress handled our large party very well. It took a long time to get the food. There was a lot of time between our appetizers and the entrees. I think the kitchen was slammed. We were there for 3 hours. There is a 20% tip for tables of our size, but it was not automatically charged. There is no question Oakleys is a great place for fine dining. I recommend going there. It just didn't excite me last night.

And the fried naan chips were sliced long and thin, and could've been called naan fries actually. Perfect companion for the dip. - Fried catfish sammich: the piece of fish was huge and the batter was good. It came on Texas toast with fixins and tartar sauce. Won't lie, the only thing I wanted for was some hot sauce. That's a me problem... just gotta have hot sauce when I eat fried fish but I didn't ask for any while I was there (they may offer it) and still very much enjoyed the sandwich. - Filet: it was great... hubby got it medium and it arrived perfectly cooked. The Demi glaze sauce was so good and so were the sides. Their collard greens are seasoned up! I said does my auntie work here?! This cuisine is so comfortingly southern and didn't disappoint. Shoutout to our friendly and helpful server, Dan... our food and drinks came out quickly and so did our to-go box. His service was truly top notch. We have been living in Carmel for 5 years and this is one of the best restaurants here. If you're on the fence about trying this place, jump off and make a reservation. You won't regret it.

Now, to be entirely candid, the building itself looks a touch weathered at first glance but once you step inside, the décor is absolutely flawless. Being from Orange County, I have been on an absolute crusade to find genuinely authentic, coastal-caliber seafood since arriving here, and let me tell you, the search is officially over! The arrival was completely seamless, thanks to a sweet little dedicated parking lot, and the exterior of the venue is just as cute as a button. The moment I crossed the threshold, the lovely cashier greeted me with the warmest energy and elegantly walked me through the day's catch. What truly blew me away and frankly, brought a little tear to my eye was the sheer depth of knowledge and passion they share about their sourcing. They explained exactly where the fish came from and how it was caught with such beautiful, undivided commitment. That level of bespoke service is precisely what turns a first-time guest into a lifelong devotee. I opted for a Fish Taco prepared with a brilliantly unsalted catch, and it was an absolute revelation. The fish was incredibly soft, delicate, and practically melted in my mouthnot a hint of chewiness in sight. It was simply bursting with that clean, ocean-fresh flavor. A flawless, five-star experience across the board for the taste, the charm, and the beautiful soul of this place. I shall most certainly be making this a regular stop on my lunch rounds!

I had such high hopes for this place a seafood market in Indianapolis? Yes please. As someone who…read moregrew up in Florida, I am always on the hunt for anything that scratches that coastal seafood itch, so I was genuinely excited to try it. We ordered the lobster hoagie and hush puppies. Both were... fine. Not bad, but nothing that wowed us or justified the anticipation. The flavors were there in a basic sense, but it all felt a little underwhelming for a spot that's billing itself as a seafood destination. What really got me was the market side of things. The seafood on display just looked sad not fresh, not vibrant, not the kind of stuff that makes you want to throw something in a bag and take it home to cook. I fully understand we're landlocked in Indiana and truly fresh seafood is a challenge, but if that's your entire concept, the product has to be able to hold its own. Left feeling more disappointed than anything. I so wanted to love this place and will be rooting for them to level up but for now, this Florida girl will keep searching.
