We were doing some garage cleaning and organizing and discovered we have a lot of electronics needed for disposal. I didn't realize many do not accept electronics without charging a fee. Providence Computers do not! We had a large computer monitor that needed to be trashed and they didn't charge us like any other recycling business would have. They were super nice as well. They also repair just about anything electronic. I'll be making a mental note for the future to come here.

I am not computer savvy and I kill computers or sometimes just their parts and accessories. My mom directed me to Providence Computers after they had helped her and fixed her computer issue, and she directed me to them when my computer just stopped working. Like I said, I'm not computer savvy, but I know a thing or two about stuff and things. My friend who knows a few more things about computers built this computer for me and all of his computers work properly, but he purchased his personal computers from a bitg box store, and the others are work computers owned by his employer. He is computer savvy and if he was able to build me a computer, I'm pretty sure he might know what he's doing. Which is good, cuz I don't. Everything was working fine until it wasn't. I loaded my desktop in my car and went to Providence Computers. I lugged my computer into the store, disclosed that I'm computer retarded to the 2 employees and told them my computer went catatonic and asked if they could help me. EMILY and her coworker were very polite, professional and compassionate interacting with me; I'm sure they were able to see and understand frustration and anxiety I was carrying when I walked in their store; my anxiety was heightened and my adrenaline was pumping after almost having a head on collision with a Walmart customer that din't even try to stop at her stop sign where the WAWA Entrance/Exit, Walmart Parking lot entrance/exit and the road leading directly to the storefronts are. Her Expeditionsurion would have ruined my day and my car if I hit the brakes and stopped for her Royal Great Valueness. But these employees were kind and compassionate to me and the manic state Her Royal Great Valueness had put me in. Long story short (TOO LATE!!!), my keyboard kicked the bucket. They were able to set me up with a replacement, get me squared away and earn my future business and problems. My dad put together an Amazon Wishlist for me after showing me his new computer. I thought he was screwin' around when the only thing on his desk was a key board, mouse and moniter. We all know I'm computer stupid, but I'm not computer dumb. Apparently, the CPU/motherboard was mounted on the back of the monitor. I TOLD HIM I NEEDED THAT IN MY LIFE. He created the wishlist and I bought the CPU and casing attachment and would use my existing keyboard/mouse and monitor. Everything comes and I'm screwing everything together and everything's just going swimmingly until I unscrew and disconnect the monitor cable from the desktop and go install it into the new CPU. And it would not go because it didn't fit. My cable had the tightening pins you screw in to pretty much torque the connection receptcle down into on both ends, but one end had pins that telescoped in an out, and the other end's pins were fixed and the same length as the connecting receptcle; without the pins being able to telescope, the connecting receptcles would not meet, seat and connect. I jumped in the car to fight rush hour traffic and headed directly to Providence Computers. They have my trust, faith, business and problems. I recognized EMILY from my last visit, and I told her she had helped me before when my keyboard went catatonic. Not sure if she recognized me as I looked like I had been pushed down a flight of stairs, but as I began to reiterated my entire previous visit, she remembered my stupid ridiculous weird random keyboard death. After having to go back to my car for my phone to show her the picture I took of this new weird crazy stupid issue, she got me squared away and had me heading out the door, off to kill some computers in less than 5 minutes. EMILY is one of those Superhero's out there that doesn't wear a cape. Polite, professional, knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. Now I've been told I can be a bit long winded and ramble on like a mofo, but Emily respectfully listened to me and all info and details I gave and knew EXACTLY what the issue I was having was and what needed to be done to fix it. She prolly knew a good long time what the problem was before had finished saying everything I mentioned. THANK YOU EMILY, AND PROVIDENCE COMPUTER!!! This business has earned my trust with the excellent epic customer service they have given me and my family. Even if one of us might kill computers. Allegedly. THANK YOU!!! -Ian

Don't go to these people. They are so feeble, they don't have the capabilities to repair any updated computers or laptops.

I had water damage on my laptop, and Michael took the time to thoroughly inspect and diagnose the issue. His expertise really shines through, and his quick turnaround time--just 2-3 days--was impressive. The diagnostic fee is $75 in cash (there is a small card fee, so it's worth bringing cash if you'd like to save a little), but it's totally worth it for the level of service you get. My repairs were $200 total so it was very reasonable. One thing I really appreciate is his customer-first attitude. After fixing my laptop, I ran into a minor issue, and Michael was quick to address it, honoring the 30-day warranty without hesitation. He genuinely cares about helping people and providing top-notch service. Avoid: Two months wait for a shoddy repair with unwanted additions. Denied responsibility for their…read moremistakes, and attempted to sell me on a new repair to fix them. Brought my laptop in to have a new keyboard installed, during this visit the repair shop attempted to upsell me on virus removal as well. Pricing is rather high, especially for certain repairs such as virus removal that can be easily done at home. Repair time took two months; delays were largely a result of the incorrect part being shipped twice, blame being put on the parts provider, but it felt like progress was made on the repair only after contacting them about it. When I received my laptop back, I found I had been upgraded to Windows 11 without my consent, despite the repair having nothing to do with the Operating System. Despite that, I was happy with the repair... until two months later, when I discovered that the whole back cover for my laptop was sliding off because the 5 screws holding it in place (3 internal, 2 external) were completely missing. When contacted, the repair shop denied all responsibility despite stating previously that the whole laptop had to be taken apart for the repair, and was very passive aggressive in shifting the blame onto me and claiming it would be a new repair to have it fixed. All in all, save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere.
