It's not luck at all but a little research on Yelp that paid off nicely on locating PC Rehab. Thanks to two Elite reviews by friends Lance and Pat my old lap top runs great and my son has a "like new" computer to use for school. There is a lot of demand for PC repairs and locating the right one makes all the difference in the world. When I rolled up on PC Rehab they had great signage in a strip mall by a Farm Fresh Grocery. The lot, sidewalks and store front were clean and attractive. I walked in the store and was greeted by the owner Drew. The business was clean and presented well to customers. The workshop is semi visible in the rear. I discussed repair of my six year old Lenovo that had become bug ridden and needed an updated operating system. I agreed to have the system completely cleaned off which waived a diagnostic cost of around $25. Within 24 hours I got a call back from Drew that he had installed a new operating system with upgraded software and that is was running perfectly. I headed back to the store and my lap top was setting on the counter for pick up. The price for repair and install of new software was very fair. When I got home, turned on my laptop it indeed operated like it was just out of the box. The computer ran so smoothly that I was flabbergasted. Better yet, my son now has a computer he can use for his middle school classes. I think he was more over joyed than me and used it day one with not a single hitch. The professionalism and expertise by PC Rehab was amazing. In an industry where the consumer can easily be taken advantage of, or most likely have inept labor conducting repairs this was completely refreshing. I had a laptop with the black screen of death that needed repair. Though its old and needs to be replaced, there were a few files that weren't backed up and I needed the thing to run again. So, I came to yelp to find a computer repair shop and PC Rehab was relatively close and well rated. I took it in on a Friday around 10 am and got the call that it was done around noon. They had it back to me with no problems and running great again. The only reason I knocked them down a star was the price. When I dropped it off, I was told the diagnostic was $50 and when I picked it up the total came to $99. Given what I was told was the problem (replace CMOS battery that is maybe five bucks), a $49 charge beyond the diagnostic fee seems a bit high. In addition, I was not given a detailed receipt showing what each service costs. To be fair, however, I didn't ask. The service was fast and efficient and I take some of the blame for not asking more questions on the details of the charges. I would recommend, however, if anyone from PC Rehab reads this, to offer a detailed receipt for work done. All told, I would definitely return to these guys because they clearly know their stuff. read more

I was on a trip to VA to visit family when I had an issue with my computer crashing. A friend of mine suggested PC Rehab since it was close by and he had a good experience there. At this point, I'm just hoping not to get ripped off for some little thing that I could have possibly fixed with a little guidance, but I cruised on in with an open mind. The verdict? Not only did they fix my problem, but Drew took the time to go over each part of what was wrong, explaining in terms I could actually understand. Not only that, he gave me a ton of info on how to get more out of my computer. I can tell these guys love what they do. Fast, knowledgeable, passionate service.... My computer contracted the "FBI" malware. I was a McAfee subscriber but they weren't able to fix the computer even after remotely logging in. They could only recommend contacting the manufacturer. I felt like I was left with a pile of junk. The only place I'd been in the past for computer issues was Best Buy's Geek Squad but I wasn't happy with their services. Among other things, they always seem to have too many competing distractions going on at once to focus on me and my issue. A friend at work suggested I look on Yelp for a local computer repair shop. I read all the reviews and found PC Rehab. One of the reviewers wrote about having the exact same problem I had and how the shop was able to take care of it. Like her, I have only good things to say about PC Rehab. Drew was able to remove the malware the same afternoon. The cost was totally reasonable and less than a big box store would have charged. He also installed new and better security software and fined tuned things to help the computer run quicker and more efficiently all for free. I'm thrilled to get my computer back running like new and, most of all, without any of my data being lost. Drew is going to give you individual attention and straight talk about what happened, what needs to be done and how to avoid such things in the future. You quickly trust the guy to have your best interests at heart. It's like finally finding a trusted mechanic for your car. I got that fear and panic when my laptop had nothing but a black screen. The power is on, reboot then reboot again.....nothing. Can't find receipt or recovery disc, that happens sometimes when you move. What to do? Pay the outrageous prices with the Geek Squad.....click on Yelp. THank you Lance. It was a bit of a drive but I easily found Drew at PC Rehab. I left my baby with him and he called with the news in less than 2 hours. Not good, bad motherboard, $300.00. Drew suggested that I get a new laptop. I paid the $24.50 diagnostic fee and headed to Best Buy. They confirmed Drews diagnosis. The good news is those geeks were able to pull up my receipt and I still have two months on my warranty. my baby will be gone 2-4 weeks so I stole hubs iPad. Ah, there is more. Hub got an awful F.B.I. Virus on his laptop yesterday. Quite a scary scam that says they will give you control of your computer if you send them $200.00. We got it to Drew before he closed for the day yesterday and picked it up at noon today. He was able to clean out the virus without scrubbing the hard drive. Hub works out of a home office, that computer is his job. Repair was under $100.00. Support the locals. Drew is a Master with computers. read more

I had to use Drew's help again with my 2nd laptop. The hard drive just would not work properly. I was debating between reviving the laptop or purchase a new one. Considering my previous experience with Drew I chose to revive it. Drew replaced the defective hard drive and installed a new operating system along with complimentary software for a very decent price. So far the laptop runs like new although it was an old beaten up machine since 2007. I'm expecting to get another 5 - 6 years of life out of the laptop. read more

I worked with Drew who was able to fix my multiple computer problems. He was very personable and able to speak to my basic computer computer level without making me feel overwhelmed. When took the computer to him I thought for sure computer was so old and outdated it would not be fixable. After checking with several repair shops, I found PC Rehab just up the street. I had an older PC on it's last legs and Drew was able to find my problem quickly. My computer was extremely slow, it took us longer to access information on the internet than a round trip walk to the library would have taken. The pro's at PC Rehab did a free diagnostic (w/ a coupon) and found a smorgasborg of issues. They took the time to explain the problems, in language I could understand, and I had my computer back the same day! They were very affordable, I highly recommend them. read more
